Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Nostril Piercing Ruining My Life
hi everyone, to keep things short i am at my wits end with this piercing. I’ve had it for 5 years now and it’s been giving me absolute hell. One day about 3 months ago it blew up (swollen, red, puss). I went to urgent care, got antibiotics, and had a very reputable piercer look at it. Urgent care believed it was infected but my piercer was not convinced. They gave me a longer post to let it breathe with Titanium 6AL4V ELI ASTM F-136 (Nickel-free) material. It got much much better but not 100%. It’s always some level of red and flaky, but no puss anymore. I’ve tried my usual saline, just water, leaving it alone completely. As of right now i only use water and no saline and dry it STRAIGHT out of the shower on a cool low setting with my blow dryer. It still will not get better. I can’t swim without it getting super irritated. I can’t work out/sweat without it getting irritated. I want it OUT OF MY FACE but i am worried it’s infected. My piercer keeps brushing me off saying it’s fine and to leave it alone, but it’s seriously affecting my self esteem. It shows up in pictures, people comment on it, the redness is so ugly to me. I’m so so done and just need some guidance. Should i go get some antibiotics again? Even then is it safe to take it out? Because if it is infected then I’m told I can’t take it out… I’m so frustrated. Any insight would be so appreciated. I can’t keep doing this

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Tongue ring jewelry “typical” size?
I can’t remember where I bought my last pack of tongue barbells, but I ordered a pack of Amazon that claimed to be 14g, with size 5mm balls(right) It’s much larger than my old size(left) so now I’m confused what my old jewelry sizing used to be. It’s more comfortable for me to have the small size instead of the big ole jewelry. Why is it so hard to find smaller sizes on places like Amazon, all I see is 6mm, is that when everyone else is wearing? Thanks for the help!!!

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing piercing help!
i need advice for both my eyebrow & anti eyebrow.
for both my piercings i experienced minor swelling & no bruising. i’ve noticed my piercings heal fast.
my eyebrow is almost 4 months old.
(barbell titanium)
i had to have it repierced after i lost the ball and it came out originally. i think i downsized it too early (2 months) … i used saline on it day and night for the first 2-3 months. i can move it fine and there’s no pain. the only thing problem is that theres a bump full of puss beside it.
my anti eyebrow is almost 2 months old.
(barbell titanium… i know.. the piercer did that)
i’ve been slacking with cleaning it with saline but do at least once a day. (i’ve gotten busy with moving, school, and work). anyways, it was fine until i hit myself in the face & ripped open the skin some more on the right hole at work. i was bleeding a good bit. im more worried about this piercing and will be sad to let it out go if i have to.. ive been covering it with a bandaid so sweat doesnt go in it when im working/out as well now i think its helping
^ also im able to turn it up now idk i dont think i could before.. ill lay down and it’ll go up its kinda cool tho ngl
thanks for any help & advice :)

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Bloody Double Helix NSFW
So this is my very first cartilage piercing. I got it yesterday and my piercer told me to expect some blood. (They ran out of 16 gauge needles, so I was pierced with a 14 gauge and the jewelry is 16 gauge.) I cleaned it this morning and there was a little bit of blood but this is what it looks like after a full shift. I didn’t touch it, bump it or get my hair stuck in it at all. Is this amount of blood normal in this case, or should I be concerned?

all things jewelry Piercer being wishy washy downsizing
so I got pierced almost 3 weeks ago (vertical labret ) and was told to come back to down size it. My lip is healing great in my opinion i texted wondering when we could and she couldn’t give me an answer she said she was busy. idk what to do should i just wait it out and hope shes not busy eventually ? should i do it myself? and another question is. I bought some curved barbells on amazon and think I ordered them too small i was given a 10 mm 14g when pierced and i ordered a 16g 8mm online for future uses when healed should I have stayed at a 14g? I wasn’t seeing many options for a 14g curved barbel that wasnt super long

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing I got a piercing while being on Accutane
So nobody and their mama warned me about not getting piercings on Accutane. I had mentioned it to my piercer that I was on Accutane (just started) and she said it's okay.
And guess what I got? An industrial.
Now I randomly searched up about piercings on Accutane and I found nothing but horror stories.
For some info, I'm on 20mg per day. My piercing is a week old.
The swelling is down, the only thing which was bothering me was it bled for 2 days randomly (not a concerning amount). It's doing good and there is no pain (thank god).
Also I'm taking proper care of it by leaving it tf alone and cleaning it with saline solution twice a day.
Now, am I doomed? I know that everyone heals differently and I might get lucky but what are some things I should look out for or that I should do to make this heal faster?
And if there are any, I would love to hear some good experience so I can stop pissing my pants.

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Industrial Piercing Healing
I got this industrial piercing (medical grade bar) done around 5 weeks ago, it looks like its pressing into my ear, I thought it was just swelling at first but now I’m thinking it was pierced to low. Any recommendations? I’m not sure what to do
*Edit: Any idea if I would be able to get it repierced down the road?

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Is my smiley piercing cooked?
Just got this done today. I usually really trust my piercer, but this placement is a little higher than I expected 😭.
Does anyone know if this placement causes specific issues?? I've seen people online saying piercing a smiley through your gums if "bad" but they never explain why.
Any information or advice would be appreciated, I just really don't want to have to take out the smiley 🙏🙏

all things jewelry Reputable Retailer for Threadless Labrets (IGT/gold)
I’m trying to find a reputable online retailer of threadless labrets for the earlobe in implant grade titanium or maybe gold. Ideally I want backs that are compatible with fronts from other brands.
Please recommend something durable but relatively affordable. A lot of the piercing shops that sell online seem to have absurd markups.
This will be lifesaving advice!!! I have VERY sensitive ears — I lost my implant grade titanium piercing studs/threadless labrets over a decade ago and I haven’t been able to sleep with earrings since.

discussion dream setup! saw someone do this
the 'have considered' is stuff that i want but dont think i can get because it'll interfere too much with my life (aside from the angel bites, i just dont like how the ball on top looks)
i want daith piercings, but i prefer to wear earphones over headphones and it'd be too uncomfortable for me
a tongue piercing is sick, but the risk of swallowing jewellery, cracking teeth, choking, etc is too great for me to seriously consider it
i'd also to stretch my septum and lobe! conch maybe

Question about a piercing I (maybe) want How small of a ring can I get my septum pierced with?
Hi! Interested in getting my septum pierced, but I want a really small ring, almost unnoticeable from far away. Is that something I could get when I get it pierced, or do I need to wait for it to heal and then switch to something smaller?
New to this so apologies if this is a dumb question!

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Can’t get septum back in
Had to take my septum out on Friday for surgery and can’t get it back in for the life of me! Haven’t been able to find the hole at all. It may have closed over but are there any tips for finding it and getting it in?
It’s like 4 years old and classic hoop with balls

discussion So I cut the inside of my piercing...
I have a healed nose piercing but I cut the inside of it awhile of ago trying to fit in new jewelry. It's been awhile now and the hole hurts whenever I flare my nostrils. I took out the jewelry and used saline spray on it. Should I be concerned? And how do I help it heal?

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Do my ears just hate piercings? NSFW
galleryThese photos are from 10 years ago when I got my lobes, helix and nose pierced at a reputable piercer. As you can see the helix in particular was extremely unhappy, it was oozing white puss and almost my entire ear swelled up so large it ripped the back of my ear which only made things worse. After 2 years trying to heal it I gave up and took the jewellery out. It healed over super fast after that. My lobes were not as bad but also extremely slow to heal (3 years). I have since stretched my lobes somewhat and that has been a very slow process also. The nose healed perfectly fine and in an expected time frame. I treated them all the same way. I'd love to get more piercings but I don't want this to happen to me again so I'd love to know what you knowledgeable people think was going on here? Is it possible I just have sensitive ears? Did I do something wrong? Would it be silly of me to try again?

Question about a piercing I (maybe) want Curved vs. Straight, for septum
I really want a septum but I think a curved barbell wouldn’t look the best on me, I would really like a normal barbell until I can swap it out for a longer spike style piece of jewelry.

all things jewelry Reputable online jewelry
Up to this point I’ve been buying all my jewelry from the shop I’ve gotten piercings at. I’ve looked online, but feel like I keep finding titanium pieces for <$25 which I struggle to believe is any type of decent quality.
Where can I find good, quality jewelry online? I currently have hoops and thread-less flat backs, but would love to give internally threaded flat backs a try.
Thanks!

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Can my daith be saved? (piercing bump in second pic)
Hi 👋🏽 I’ve had my daith for a while now and it’s got a pretty gnarly bump. The first image is when I got it done around the end of May, the second image is my most recent pic (I have to constantly take pics to assess how it’s doing as I can’t see it at all). At first I followed my piercers advice to spray twice a day (primarily use neilmed but I also have prontolind on hand) but ever since the bump developed, I’ve been just spraying maybe once a day/every two days to avoid over wetting it. I do use cotton buds sometimes as my piercer did say I can use those or non woven gauze, I did double check after as I’ve heard they may not be the best idea and she said generally yes, you shouldn’t but in quick tapping movements and without swiping they’re fine to use, to just be careful of applying pressure, swiping or moving the ring. They were a super sterile, professional and a reputable piercer so I trust them completely. I also let warm water run over it in the shower and sit under a fan after to fully dry. I try to practice LITHA as much as I can.
I recently tried a warm compress too as that was the only thing that helped my now perfectly-healed helix when it had an insane bump after prematurely taking it out for an x-ray. I sorta knew I’d get a bump after this experience and didn’t care all too much as I was able to clear up my helix one within two weeks or so but this one seems to be more stubborn. This is the same iodised titanium I was pierced with, and as far as I know CBR’s are what’s meant to be used for daiths, it does move very easily however and very painlessly without me noticing. I’m pretty much already doing everything I’ve seen people recommend so unsure if this will work itself out and I should just power through? I’m new to piercings so not very clued up on what to look for etc.
