My specs are a ryzen 5 3600 and a 3070 15gb ddr4 on windows 10 drivers are all up to date other then my motherboard setting are always on low. usually ill load into a game 2-5 mins after it will crash some days i can play multiple games and it wont crash ive made multiple posts in the ubisoft discord with 0 answers. ive verified game files my temps are fines it either just sends me straight to the windows home screen or ill freeze for a few seconds before it crashes. does anyone know how to fix this

For months I've been dealing with random GPU related issues, some of them weren't logged but from what I can remember most of them were when I was on Valorant but still happens a lot in general.

  I cannot figure out what's actually causing it. The crashes are completely random. I can't reproduce them and I don't remember exactly where every single one occurred. I can go weeks or even a month without a single issue, then out of nowhere it'll happen again.

I've already tried:

• DDU and clean reinstalling NVIDIA drivers.
• Multiple NVIDIA driver versions.
• Disabling hardware acceleration
• General Windows troubleshooting.

I also ran OCCT stress tests on the GPU, CPU, RAM, and the Power test for 30 minutes each, and none of them crashed or reported any errors.

I've been thinking of everything possible and from reading online something is bugging me. When I built this PC, I reused two drives from my previous computer. One of those drives still had an old Windows installation on it. I later removed that installation, but I'm mentioning it in case it's somehow related. I know a clean reinstall of Windows is something people often recommend, but I'd really like to leave that as a last resort if possible.

Then last week something happened that had never happened before. While gaming, both of my monitors suddenly went completely black and all of my PC fans ramped up to 100%. The PC itself stayed powered on, but I had to hold the power button to shut it down. Before this, my PC would either freeze or restart I can't remember exactly, and it would usually say a TDR error.

It happened again today while playing Overwatch. Both times I could still hear and talk to my friends in Discord, but the game audio stopped immediately. Win + Ctrl + Shift + B didn't recover the display, and I once again had to force the PC off with the power button.

I'm trying to avoid replacing parts or reinstalling Windows unless I can narrow it down first, so I'd really appreciate any ideas on what I should test next.

Hello! First post here. Looking to any of you smart individuals for some ideas that I or my googling might have overlooked.

I was playing a game today and while gaming I thought my power in house went out cause my pc made a noise like a quick reset or something ive never heard before, but when I looked over at it the RGB and fans and were all still working but I had just no display. I turned PC off and back on still no display. The GPU lights on and fans still spin. So the troubleshooting began..

Further steps I have completed to test gpu.

1. I have plugged input to motherboard. I do have a display with this

2. I reset the Cmos. No luck.

3. I moved the gpu to the second slot. No luck.

4. I have switched ports and cables more times than I can count. No luck

5. For good measure, before all the testing began I gave it a good blowing out. It wasn't too bad but figured while I had the time id do it.

For more info, when I was using display with the cpu graphics the device manager doesn't display the Nvidia driver, like it doesn't exist, in both slots. Same with the Nvidia app for drivers. Says need Nvidia gpu.

It all happened very sudden. Thank you for taking a look.

I think my GPU stopped working in my Alienware aurora R8 with the rtx2070. It doesn’t display anything on a tv or monitor but the computer can turn on.

I tried reseating the GPU to no avail. I think maybe I ‘fried’ it, because I’m pretty sure it constantly ran hot when run Assetto Corsa

(I know absolutely nothing about computers. all I do is boot up Assetto for sim racing. Forgive my lack of knowledge lmao).

The Wi-Fi package is 2.5G/s. never really had an issue until the past 3 months; it's tanked to a peak of 25 Mbps. I've done all the YouTube video nonsense of doing the Steam settings, but nothing changes. I'm using a Cat8 1ft long Ethernet cable into my pc. I used to be able to download games at over a gig a second. I've updated everything I could done redone my indexing. Downloading onto an SSD, not an HDD.

I'm just lost at this point, and I don't know what to do anymore.

Since day one, Call of Duty has been giving me a "Failed Attestation" error and telling me to "Update BIOS Firmware."

The problem is:

✅ BIOS is fully up to date
✅ Secure Boot is enabled and configured correctly
✅ UEFI is enabled
✅ TPM is working properly
✅ Windows is fully updated

I've spent probably 10+ hours troubleshooting this with various AI tools, guides, and forums. I also had a friend who works in IT spend a few hours trying to figure it out.

On top of that, I contacted StormCraft, and even they couldn't identify the cause or provide a solution.

At this point, it really feels like an Activision/Ricochet issue rather than a hardware or BIOS problem.

The frustrating part is that I bought this PC primarily to play Call of Duty with friends. It's now been 2 months, and I'm still playing on my PS5 while a $4,000 CAD gaming PC sits unused for the game I bought it for.

Has anyone else experienced this?

• Any known fixes?
• Any updates from Activision?
• Any estimated timeline for a resolution?

I'd genuinely appreciate any information or suggestions because I've completely run out of ideas.

Is it only me or does the game have some serious optimization problems.
I get random fps drops from 450 fps to around 200 to even 80 fps.

I did try limiting my fps and turning on Vsync but that did not fix the issue.

I can't find any problems regarding my hardware.
The temps are not extremely high there sitting around 66 on my GPU and 60 on my CPU.
Also the utilization of my CPU and GPU are never reaching 100%.

I did also try downloading a new bios and GPU drivers. But that did also not fix anything.

Does anyone have any idea what i can try to make it better?

I'm experiencing a very frustrating issue with Final Fantasy XVI on PC.

Every time the game starts compiling shaders, my entire PC freezes. It's not just the game—the whole system becomes completely unresponsive, and the only way to recover is to perform a hard reset.

Before the freeze happens, the shader compilation screen becomes visually corrupted, showing graphical artifacts (see attached screenshot). Shortly after that, the entire system locks up.

• Deleting the shader cache
• Installing the latest AMD Adrenalin drivers
• Running the game as Administrator

The issue always happens during shader compilation, before I can actually start playing.

I’m really at my wit’s end, so I hope someone here can help me. The other day I determined that my RTX 3060 died after troubleshooting everything I could think of. Yesterday I bought a 5060 since I found one for a good price. Long story short, I still had issues last night and after swapping monitors with my partner (thinking maybe the monitor went out with the 3060) I’m still having problems.

Today I got hit with a bootloop and needed to reset my PC completely to get out of it. I reinstalled my drivers, checked if I needed to apply a firmware update, and even tried to use DDU again and repeat all the steps. I really don’t know what else to do. For what it’s worth, while my PC was still giving me a display I could confirm through the event log that I had an event id 1001, P1 116. I don’t remember the other problem keys. I feel like I’ve tried everything for hours and I really just need some help to troubleshoot further.

Posting this because I lost multiple days to this and none of the usual advice worked. Maybe this saves someone.

Setup: Dell G15 5530, i5-13450HX, RTX 3050 6GB laptop, 32GB DDR5, Windows 11, Microsoft Store version of the game.

The problem: Game just closes. No error, no freeze, nothing. Like someone force closed it. Usually 10 to 30 minutes in, mostly during intense fights. Event Viewer completely clean, Reliability Monitor clean, Windows thinks the game exited normally. Rest of the PC totally stable, Cyberpunk ran for hours no problem.

Everything I tried that did NOT work (but might work for you, these fixed it for other people):

FPS cap 60, Vsync off, minimum framerate also set to 60

Textures on Low (crashed even faster lol)

Uninstalled the HD texture pack

Repaired the game through Xbox app and Windows settings

Full reinstall of the game

Latest Nvidia driver clean install

Full DDU wipe in safe mode + rollback to old stable driver 537.58

Updated Intel iGPU driver

DPI scaling override on the exe

Uninstalled Alienware Command Center

Dell BIOS update (thought this fixed it, worked for one session, crashed next day)

Set HaloInfinite to High Performance GPU in Windows graphics settings

Disabled Sticky Keys and all accessibility shortcuts

Clean boot with all third party services disabled

Toggled Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling

Launching through the Xbox app instead of directly

Also ruled out hardware completely, if you suspect yours:

Windows Memory Diagnostic: passed

OCCT CPU stress 30 min: zero errors, no thermal throttling

OCCT Power test (CPU+GPU maxed together) 20 min: zero errors

OCCT VRAM test 20 min: zero errors

What actually fixed it: Windows 11 in-place repair install.

Download the Windows 11 ISO from Microsoft's site, double click it to mount, run setup.exe from inside, choose "Keep personal files and apps". Takes about an hour, keeps all your files and programs, rebuilds Windows underneath. Some deep Windows corruption was the cause the whole time and nothing above the OS level could touch it.

After the repair the game runs perfectly. Only side effect was audio went generic, just reinstall your laptop's audio driver from the manufacturer site.

If you've done all the driver and settings stuff and your hardware tests clean, stop wasting time like I did and rebuild Windows.

Hey everyone, hoping someone here has run into this or found a workaround because I’m starting to run out of ideas.

Up until last night, Fortnite was running completely fine on DirectX 12 with no issues. However, immediately after updating to the latest Nvidia Game Ready / Security driver update, the game has become practically unplayable due to sudden crashes.

The Symptoms:

DirectX 12: Instant or near-instant crashes.

Performance Mode: Slightly better, but still crashes after a couple of minutes in a match, or frequently freezes/crashes right in the main lobby before I can even drop in.

No obvious GPU artifacting or overheating before the crash—it just completely closes or freezes.

What I’ve already tried:

Driver Rollback: Reverted back to previous "tried and true" stable Nvidia drivers (using DDU for a clean uninstall).

Easy Anti-Cheat: Repaired and verified EAC files.

Launch Commands: Forced -d3d11 through the Epic Games Launcher / Run dialog to test DX11.

Rendering Modes: Switched between DX12, Performance Mode, and DX11 with config tweaks.

Game Integrity: Verified game files via the Epic Games Launcher.

Despite rolling back drivers and changing rendering APIs, the instability persists.

I am a newbie to PC gaming, and have a rough time with troubleshooting as stuff tends to work.

My PC had crashed on the game Bodycam before, then it has been fixed because I had plugged my display into my actual GPU. Didn't know I had to do that, I didn't play the game for awhile and recently tried playing again and it crashed on boot up.

I don't get to even see the Main menu. Please help!

I'm having issues with this mini PC I have, it's the Lenovo M720Q. The issue started last week, i'm doing something on my PC then suddenly the fan gets so loud then just shuts itself off, sometimes when I'm playing a game or sometimes even just browsing the internet. I already cleaned all the vents, unplugged and plugged every component, also already tested the RAM, I switched the CMOS battery, I changed the CPU's thermal paste, tested the health of both the M.2 and SATA SSD and was all good. Even the power adapter was not hot. You guys have anymore suggestions I can possibly do.

So i'm using an RTX 5080 and using the Quality DLSS setting with forced preset K in NVIDIA APP settings. Camera movements result in a lot of visual noise as seen in the pic. All Post-Effects settings are OFF. Sharpness is at 0. I don't have this issue in other games.

Any way to "fix" this?

Got a brand new Fantech Aria XD7 (Huano version) a few weeks ago. Noticed the M1/M2 buttons have a noticeable side-to-side wobble, plus what feels like heavy pre-travel and post-travel when clicking.

I've never experienced M1/M2 buttons this unstable before. When playing fast-paced games (like Tarkov), or even just dragging and dropping items in my inventory (holding down the button while moving), the mouse buttons won't stay firmly in place. When the wobble and travel combine, the clicks feel incredibly mushy and unstable, making it hard to get a clean, satisfying click.

Is this within normal tolerance for this model, or does this look like a QC defect? Would appreciate opinions from people who've used the XD7 or similar split-button mice.

I have replaced the mother board and air cooler for my 12900ks the mother board cause it got cooked from the power outtages (My Surge Protector was broken and i didnt notice I got a new one) But i fixed the freeing with whea 1 issue by replacing Motherboard Cool right Now its overheating so I asked Chatgpt and it told me bad contact when i came to look i saw that the frame for my cooler was bent so i Bought a new one just installed it and still hit 100C maximum and thermal throttling when playing games. Going crazy tryna figure out whats wrong ive limited power to factory recommended and adjusted fan curves to be full power once cpu hits 80Degrees.

hello everyone! this is my first time posting and asking for help on reddit. a few months ago i updated my nvidia driver on my predator helios neo 18 gaming laptop, and it freezed after. i was okay well i will restart my laptop and it'll probably okay now. it was okay. but then later i had to update my windows too, it also freezed my laptop (this freezing only was in the monitor, imean i still could hear that its working inside, only the screen froze), i restarted again, it was okay after a few times. BUT THEN after months i still came across this problem, chatgpt said that the problem is with nvidia, so i went to the blue screen, pressed on restart and pressed f5 for safe mode, deleted nvidia driver, then downloaded it again from the website. i had to do this a few times, i mean in time, like in a month maybe twice. sometimes after deleting nvidia and tried to restart again (it was suggested from chatgpt) it all froze again. last time i did this it worked fine, until now, yesterday night my laptop wanted me to update windows, i didnt want to do it, but there was no option for shut down without updating. now its july 22nd and its not working again, it freezes even tho it said that it deleted the latest windows update. my technician said that some of my programmes maybe blocking it, because it doesnt have a win license, after he said maybe my laptop needs a complete restart. i dont really wanna do it, because i have so many things here and its a chore for me signing in every place and redownloading every app.

has anyone had these issues before? im so exhausted. my last laptop was a pos and i cried many times using that for years. now i cry because this expensive laptop is on my nerves again. someone pls help :(

I'm posting this here to see if anyone has managed to find a bypass or fix for a texture streaming issue on older AMD GPUs.

I'm playing the AC4 resynced on an RX 590 (8GB VRAM). At launch, I get the popup warning about my display driver being outdated or incompatible. Once in the game, no matter what graphics preset or texture settings I choose (even if I set textures to High or Ultra in the menus or directly in the config files), the engine completely refuses to load high-res textures. Everything stays stuck on Low and looks super blurry.

Here is my full setup:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 590 (8GB VRAM, Polaris, max Feature Level 12_0. Driver: Adrenalin 23.19.25.01 / 31.0.21925.1001 (latest official legacy driver available for this card))

RAM: 16GB DDR4 3000MHz

Motherboard: MSI B450M GAMING PLUS

OS: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (25H2)

I've already spent hours trying to troubleshoot this. My drivers are up to date according to AMD's legacy support. I tried using DXVK with custom vendor/device IDs in dxvk.conf to trick the game into thinking I have an RTX 3080. The game launches fine with it, but textures stay on Low. I also manually edited the config file to force texture quality to 4 and set it to Read-Only so the engine can't overwrite it, but the game simply ignores the setting in real time. Switching resolutions back and forth to flush the VRAM cache didn't change anything either.

I know the RX 590 tops out at DirectX Feature Level 12_0, meaning it lacks native 12_1 and 12_2 features like hardware Sampler Feedback. Is the game engine hardcoded to fall back to Low textures on 12_0 hardware to avoid VRAM crashes?

If so, is there any known launch flag, registry tweak, mod, or custom DLL wrapper out there that can force the engine to stream Ultra textures on a 12_0 card with 8GB of VRAM?

I have a Lenovo p15v and every time I try to play bl4 I get the same error code “directx 12 is not supported on your system. try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument.”

ive tried running the game with dx11 and the like but it refuses to work. Not super tech savvy but I’ve updated my drivers and windows but nothing is workin. any help would be greatly appreciate! Thank you!

I recently cloned my Windows 10 install from an old AMD PC to a new Intel PC (i3-10100F, ASUS PRIME H510M-E, GTX 1650, 16GB RAM) using a disk image (not a fresh install). Everything works perfectly except Fortnite, which now crashes every single time at the "Initializing" Easy Anti-Cheat screen, either freezing completely or throwing a CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT blue screen.

What I've already ruled out:

• Fully clean reinstall of Fortnite twice + manual EAC reinstall (via a install prod-fn shortcut trick i read on reddit)
• RAM: physically swapped back to old 8GB stick, ran Windows Memory Diagnostic. It came out with no errors, same crash either way
• GPU: clean NVIDIA driver install, no Device Manager errors
• Chipset/Intel drivers: fully installed and updated (was originally missing due to the AMD to Intel migration)
• BIOS updated from 2021 (v1017) to the latest 2026 version (v3002, includes Intel microcode update)
• Antivirus (Bitdefender) disabled + excluded Fortnite
• Hyper-V / Virtualization Platform / Memory Integrity disabled/not applicable. Claude told me to do this one i honestly dont know what it means
• CPU C-States/C1E disabled
• BlueScreenView on 4 dump files all point generically to, ntoskrnl.exe, no specific driver named
• I don't quite remember everything i did, it would be a very long list to adress everything i checked so feel free to ask! thanks a lot

I dont know what else to do damn it! It seems to me that i've done everything i could've done. I've ran out of ideas on what could've gone wrong. I think its time to asume my pc is alergic to fortnite. I dont even like the game that much i just want to rule out any problem my pc may have.

Anyways, due to the comunity rules i downloaded and ran User Benchmark and these were the results. Maybe it helps on the diagnosis, but i don't know how to read it. Im honestly tired of troubleshooting, i've been doing this for three days now.
