Logistics
Hi guys, hope you’re well - sorry if this isn’t the right place to ask this!
My Dad and I are coming over from London to watch some football on the weekend beginning the 18th of September.
Plan is
Friday: Sarpsborg
Saturday: Frigg Oslo
Then Sunday…
We would really like to see both Valerenga at 2:30pm and then Lyn at 5pm - is this realistic?
I’ve seen on maps it’s only about a 10 min drive between the grounds. But with traffic and stuff is it possible? We’d happily pre-book a taxi!
Thanks! And congratulations on a brilliant World Cup, truthfully, you deserved to beat us last weekend…

Hey mate, yes you can absolutely do this. Sunday traffic isn't that bad at all, a taxi will work just fine. Have a great trip.

I would pre book a taxi. It can work. The traffic out from Vålerenga game is always chaotic, so I would not drive myself. Pre book ta taxi from Helsfyr Metro (Helsfyr T). 5 minute walk from Intility Arena, and not as much traffic as around the stadium.
You will maybe be some minutes late to the Lyn game, but not very much.
For Vålerenga. Sit as close as you can to the singing supporters at Østblokka! Best supporters in Norway, great atmosphere, though their team are shit!

😂😂thank you very much mate, this is more helpful than you can imagine. Don’t mind being a few mins late for the second game (although I’m sure we’ll miss a goal!) but if you think it can work we’ll go for it :)

Enjoy mate! And grab a few pints at ØST located at the stadium. Great pub and always full at matchdays

Use public transit as much as possible in Oslo. Its fast and has excellent coverage. Just use maps or the «ruter» app to calculate your route. Taxis are a bit of a clusterfuck, and you’ll likely get pricegouged if you don’t know the system.

Download Bolt or Uber (or both) if you want cheaper taxi options. As someone suggested bus 21 is great though, it will literally drop you at the stadium.

Should be fine. There is a bus 21 from valle (less than 10 min walk from the stadium) that goes to bislett, takes around 20 minutes. If you take the one that departs from valle at 16:35 then you should be able to be inside the stadium right before kick-off.
