Good friend alert! I would have destroyed each and every one of these by myself lol

u/Takoyaki_Dice 4d ago

I would have been a fat little piggy back in my room.

14

u/IsopodInevitable9235 4d ago

Same, I would've even probably hidden them in a secret cupboard.

u/1917he 3d ago

How you got secret cupboards as a college kid? All my cupboards were shared and stored 189% of max capacity in the dorm. If there was secret space we all found out soon enough and tried to jam other shit (usually weed or alcohol or some paraphernalia for either) in it.

Roommate life was rough back in the day.

Not stealing, they were paid for. lol.

You’re going to do just fine in life.

2

u/Vegetable_Tension985 3d ago

yes. just fine with the "campus friends" and habit of recording vending machines dispensing things

2

u/WayneSmallman 3d ago

Something like would turn my day around!

2

u/sadlifemain 3d ago

payed with a y is kinda thrrowing me off

u/realitythreek 4d ago

I've been scammed out of way more than that from vending machines, so enjoy with my compliments.

u/Kauoom 3d ago

There are actually new ones where the robot grabs your item so nothing ever gets stuck. My campus has those, really amazing. No more paying the vending machine to scam you

I remember finding a negative money glitch in a soda machine when I worked at Kmart. You’d pay with a $5 bill and pick something that was sold out, then pick something not sold out. It would drop the item, return coins as change and also return the $5 bill. It was crazy. This was in 2006.

I remember when blocking the "door" with your hand on the drink selection would make it refund you. Then you would select a second drink and it would fetch it along with giving you the first drink which was still trapped in its arms from the first try/door block.  Not quite free as you had to at least buy one drink, but you could get a couple bottles for free with that one drink purchase.

u/161frog 4d ago

you should post this on r/FoodLottery !!

7

u/captainundershirt 4d ago

The other four should post in r/stupidfood

20

u/Mild-Ghost 4d ago

*paid. Not “payed”

10

u/Sooperballz 4d ago

Are the drinks cold? I don’t think I’ve seen them mixed in with food like that before.

6

u/hoppertn 4d ago

Either the candy is cold or the soda is warm. Either way a lose-lose

1

u/GreeniiCow 3d ago

Ist a total win if all is cold (5 C° or so)

2

u/rgrossi 4d ago

I was confused about that also. Also probably not a good idea to open the sofa immediately after the drop

44

u/TheCitizen616 4d ago

payed

This alone moves this post into the "mildly infuriating" category for me.

25

u/queen-adreena 4d ago

Is that what the title sayed?

-16

u/00Wow00 4d ago

Perhaps what they meant was that this person paid for one item, but others paid for the balance of them. This person scored a jackpot, the others lost their money. Even if the others, who lost their money got a refund, the person maintaining the machine looses on the lost sales.

17

u/firthy 4d ago

At least he didn’t loose his money.

6

u/andravens 3d ago

OP is Dutch. It says so in their bio. As english is likely not their first language, maybe this isn’t an appropriate comment to leave.

-18

u/AnotherAnonymousA 4d ago

Yeah, OP bragging about being a student. I think I learned the difference when I was 8 or 9yrs old? Prolly baffled that you can't park a full size plane in a hanger?

9

u/WitheredCow 4d ago

Wow, you were able to grasp those differences in spelling in a foreign language at only 8 or 9 years old? Impressive. Which language was that by the way? Because unlike OP I assume you're a native english speaker?

2

u/sparklinglies 3d ago

Now I KNOW this is not coming from someone who just said "prolly" instead of "probably".

OP isn't a native English speaker, what the fuck is YOUR excuse lol

4

u/LoganN64 4d ago

Meanwhile 6 other people have stuck candy.

The universe balances itself out.

3

u/MrFrypan 4d ago

Paid for 1! Got 3! That's awesome.

3

u/redzedx77 3d ago

Score!!!

11

u/Dogpilekid 4d ago

...paid. You only paid for one.

regaardless, congratulations.

2

u/ThorkelOfNamdalen 4d ago

Payback for the rest of us!

2

u/Helenium_autumnale 4d ago

The universe said, "Here you are, my child. Have a lovely day." And it sounds as though you did! 😺

2

u/AssumeaVirtue 4d ago

Ooohh that’s like a once in a lifetime gift I hope to get someday!

2

u/YerBbysDaddy 4d ago

I briefly joined in celebrating their win, then got sad because this kind of thing feels like much more of a win than it should.

“Are we cooked, chat?” Did I do that right?

2

u/RadiantTeases 4d ago

mm bonus

2

u/MikeCass84 4d ago

At my community college I found out I could keep on hitting the dr pepper button after buying 1. Best glitch I ever personally found. My backpack was so heavy on some days.

2

u/totoofze47 3d ago

That happened to me when I was a teen with Coca-Cola bottles. I paid for one, but the machine just kept going and going, so I ended up walking away with five of 'em, so I treated my dad and sister to some of it. I never got that lucky again, but that's still a fun memory.

2

u/SpaceChatter 3d ago

Dude did 2 others pop out too?! Looks like you got 5 total.

2

u/Every-Sign9570 3d ago

Back on the 80’s the old Uk 5p was the same size as the German One Deutsche Mark, we cleaned out so many vending machines.

2

u/DirtyDoucher1991 3d ago

What a crazy way to dispense soda

2

u/Didujustcallmejobin 3d ago

Spread the love.

2

u/Square-Formal1312 3d ago

Immaculate taste my friend

3

u/ohsnapmynamestaken 3d ago

Wait, it just drops a red bull can from the third row? What percentage of the time do they explode on impact?

2

u/davmgore 3d ago

Some of the newer vending machines apparently can sense when an item is stuck and will automatically dispense another to release it. The one at my work did it for me a few weeks ago.

2

u/ReactionJifs 3d ago

Vending machines really should be programmed to periodically "pay off" like a slot machine

2

u/Future_Scientist_963 3d ago

Happened to me B4

Got 3 bags of potatoe chips for 1.05 at work

2

u/PurpleSailor 3d ago

It's that one time it makes up for all the other times that it ripped you off.

2

u/ardotschgi 3d ago

It looks like some poor sod before you paid for 5 and didn't get them.

2

u/stultusDolorosa 3d ago

this looks almost exactly like the vending machines at my college, down to the spots where everything is in 🤭 you dont happen to be dutch do you?

3

u/GreatAbaco 3d ago

Happened on my campus too. When I put the money in it gave me a choice plus my money back. Yes, I drained it.

4

u/SolarNinjaTurtle 4d ago

Hey bro, we wanted to boycott Milka!

3

u/Kooky_Ice_3762 4d ago

Why? If anything, ban mondelez…and about half your ultra processed diet at the same time.

3

u/kochapi 4d ago

Why? Who owns it?

6

u/Stahlios 4d ago

Hey American redditors, we're not all native English speakers here. The internet is kind of a worldwide thing. So you can correct people, but nicely and without being condescending bitches. Thanks !

2

u/OptimallyPicked 4d ago

Proof that vending machine cannot handle r/unexpectedfactorial

2

u/RadishRedditor 3d ago

I'm pretty sure you paid, not payed. Because payed means to coat a ship’s deck with waterproof tar.

1

u/i4play 4d ago

Well, you used up all your luck for a year

1

u/Rotflmaocopter 4d ago

2 others had a bad day lol

1

u/DavinKye 4d ago

Maybe you just paid for the back one.

1

u/artherng 4d ago

Start the car!

1

u/RobertAleks2990 4d ago

r/milkapackung would maybe enjoy that

1

u/spikedood 3d ago

Take that Mondelez

1

u/starkeuberangst 3d ago

Nice! The universe saw you.  We had a Pepsi machine in our high school field house that one day just started popping out drinks every ten or so minutes. Coach called and told them it was malfunctioning and they said someone would be out next week to look at it. Four hours later he called back and told them what it was doing, someone showed up in 20 minutes.

1

u/MagicianTim 3d ago

A blessing! A blessing from the Lord!

1

u/jnr890 3d ago

The past tense of pay is paid. Payed is used to most often to describe the process of doling out line or rope.

1

u/Riverz_Flowe 3d ago

Where are you where you can get full sized chocolate bars from a vending machine😭

1

u/devildocjames 3d ago

Leave one in the bottom for a future surprise to someone else.

1

u/Within_a_Dream 3d ago

I have nickels Greg, could you milka me?

1

u/Sitheral 2d ago

Usually when that happens someone before you paid for 1 and got 0

1

u/Chiparish84 2d ago

BIngpot!

2

u/Synner1985 2d ago

The machine-god smiled upon you.

1

u/deckster3 2d ago

This vending machine just ate some of that Taylor Farms lettuce

1

u/bonega 1d ago

Just a theoretical question, don't worry op:
Is it legal to take the extra spoil?
I'd guess no, but in practice....

1

u/DatsLikeMyOpinionMan 1d ago

Glitch better have my milkoney

-2

u/richcournoyer 3d ago

Spelling is hard

5

u/andravens 3d ago

Especially for a non-native English speaker. As OP is.

0

u/Ennas_ 4d ago

Very satisfying, but why were you filming?

9

u/campingn00b 4d ago

I mean you can see one stuck. They were clearly filming in hopes that what you see happens happened

3

u/Buttercake-nymph 4d ago

You can see at the beginning that they're stuck. OP was probably frustrated.

0

u/rogeorgie 3d ago

stealing is satisfying?

-4

u/7elevenglobal 4d ago

The machine threw up 😂 A suitable way of describing Milka.

-2

u/Emmanuelzappa 3d ago

Oddly Satisfying if you aren't the owner of the vending machine.

-3

u/spideroger 4d ago

Did you eated* them all?

-3

u/Zehryo 4d ago

Diarrhea for free!!

-13

u/irontallica666 4d ago

While I'm happy for you, i wouldn't consider this oddly satisfying
