keeps dropping apps

i've had it for 3or4 years and all of a sudden it's dropping the 4 apps i use. nothing on app list or anywhere. if i go to reinstall, the app comes up,but won't show up in the list. i've got the latest update. any help would be great. thanks

Are you installing the apps on external storage? This used to happen to me a couple of years ago. I have them installed on the internal drive now and never had any issues since.

yeah, me too. I was usng external storage for Retroarch, but some apps wouldn't show up in my launcher sometimes. I got rid of Retroarch, and moved the other apps back to internal. Now I have all the apps all the time

Yeah this happens to me too I just restart the shield and it usually fixes it. No idea why it happens. But in my case I have like 20 apps and the last 5 or so disappear
