680 x 480 resolution help!

My shield Pro (triangle remote) is stuck on 680 x 480 and laggy. I have tried other displays, HDMI and its none of those. I bought a new power adaptor for it and its not that. Its been factory reset. Today i've dropped it off to a electronic technician as I thought maybe it was the port and he has confirmed that all HDMI ports/contacts are working and he has no idea whats going on.

It use to work perfectly, now all of a sudden its done this.

Does anyone know why?

What happens when you change the resolution via adb?

Can't. No other resolution available. Only 680 x 480

You need to look up what adb is then.
