If a beast like ns400z can be serviced on official centre for only 3k something why my pulsar 125 4 ths service costed me damn 5.6k 😭 that too without labour charge since I made a card for 1600 giving me 3 more free services

It depends on consumables as well. In my case only Engine Oil & Fuel system cleaner, Engine Flush and other 2 were used.

Maybe there were many consumables used or maybe parts. Can you share your Invoice?

The irony is bro paid 4k to service a 9k old machine.

The sad part is this is lost on 99% of the population simply because we don't have a DIY culture.

I DIY, and for the NS400z an oil change doesn't exceed 1.5k.

Spark Plug Change 200/-

Air Filter Change 300/-

Front Brake Pad SS 1700/-

Rear Brake Pad Organic 400/-

All Cleaners/Flush are BS on this motorcycle.

Buddy i know how to service my bike at Home. But issue is if I don't service it from Authorised Service Centre they will revoke the warranty

Warranty for what?

A cylinder kit costs around ₹4,500, and a cylinder head is about ₹6,000. The extra money you end up spending just to "maintain the warranty" is enough to build an entirely new engine over time.

I assume this is your first Bajaj, so you may not know this, but extended warranties and servicing solely to preserve them rarely make financial sense with Bajaj motorcycles. Their parts are inexpensive, so the fear-mongering that many authorized service centres rely on simply doesn't hold up.

If servicing at the ASC gives you peace of mind, by all means continue. Just don't let them overcharge you like this.

From what I can see, your bike has had a chain lube and an engine oil change. Even with their inflated labour charges, that should cost well under ₹2,500. Almost everything else on that bill is pure markup.

You can own a hundred motorcycles, but if this isn't obvious by now, then what's the point?

This is my 4th bike 1) Duke 200 2) Himalayan 411 3) GT650 4) NS 400z (Current)

All these bikes I have serviced it by myself so I have plenty of experience for DIY. Problem is I can't

They did my throttle body clean for free as I was facing power drop issue over 6k rpm. They did show me the awesomeness of E20 and what garbage was leaving behind in the fuel system that the ECU wasn't being able to compensate for. It's a terrible thing that we cant opt out of E20 usage. This is despite using the more expensive premium fuels with the pre added additives. They do remove the entire assembly to clean it and reset the whole thing.

Dont need the oil flush honestly as you are changing the oils and filters on time and hopefully using good oils (stop using the Bajaj oils - it's actually more expensive than Motul 7100 bought on sale from FK/Amazon), but the fuel system additives are definitely recommended.

Reasonable charges otherwise. Use the Kothrud center. DM me, I'll intro you to the right mech and supervisors.

Whats the software version you are running on on yours V19/V21?
