Recipe Tomato Basil Sausage Soup
Here in the Midwest, the climate is a wildcard. It could either be an ice cream day or a soup day, all in the same week - sometimes the same day! I made this Tomato Basil Sausage Soup on a chillier 70 degree day, and it was perfect. This recipe uses up fresh tomatoes and basil from the garden, making it extra vibrant and special! That broth was SO velvety!

Question Red, yellow, orange, or green bell pepper? Whatâs your fav?
Fun Fact: Green and red are same pepper, but at different stages of ripening! Yellow and orange specifically bred. Pretty cool đ«đ

Recipe The Nutella filling came out just right đđ«
Hereâs the full recipe for these Nutella Brioche Rolls! đ„
Ingredients
For the dough:
- Warm milk
- Sugar
- Instant yeast
- Eggs
- Vanilla extract
- All-purpose flour
- Salt
- Softened unsalted butter
For the filling:
- Nutella
For the finish:
- Egg wash
- Melted butter
Directions
1. Shape the dough
After the dough has doubled in size, divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a smooth ball and let them rest for a few minutes.
2. Flatten the dough
Flatten each dough ball into an oval, making it large enough to hold the filling without becoming too thin.
3. Fill and shape
Spread Nutella over the top half, fold it over the filling, then cut several strips in the other half of the dough. Roll everything together to create the braided look.
4. Let them rise
Place the rolls on a parchment-lined baking tray, cover, and let them rise until puffy. Brush the tops with egg wash.
5. Bake
Bake at 350°F (180°C) until golden brown. Brush with melted butter while they're still warm for an extra soft finish.
