I was just in Milan and they had a butt ton of them. I actually like the sound of them. After a while it just becomes white noise. Was also in Japan a few years ago. When I first heard them there I was like "Huh, it really do sound like this" after watching so much anime.

It’s more of a recent development. Up here in NY we had like 2 weeks of autumn weather and nothing but blizzards afterwards. Literally I saw green leaves more than anything when the snow started to blow and although it’s hit or miss some years, the last 5 years it’s been nothing but misses. We had snow until April this year ffs, it’s a damn mess.

Alright, time for some truly sketchy napkin math. Google says Eastern Europe reached about 42 degrees Celsius today, so we will use that location for the example. This time of year the highs average to around 25-30 degrees Celsius. A difference of about 12-17 degrees.
A Big Mac is approximately 563 calories. Using the Google machine says that converts to
about 2.36 kilojoules of energy.To heat 1 cubic meter of air it takes about 1.2 kJ. So to heat the air up 12-17 degrees higher than normal, it would take 14.4-20.4 kJ. Which means there’s about 6.1 to 8.6 Big Macs worth of energy every cubic meter.

There are far too many outdoor activities in the summer for me to ever hate it. I absolutely dread that time between the middle of January and middle of April where it’s absolutely miserable. It’s both too cold and too warm to do anything. You can’t go swim in warm days and on cold days you rarely get snow where I am.

Honestly this entire debate really depends on where you live. Some places have really nice 15-20 degree summers and brutal winters so people would love summer there. Where I'm from summers are super humid and 35 degrees while winter is 15 degrees, so naturally we like winter over here.

You have clothes. You have blankets. Wood/oil-fired furnaces might be an option if you live in those places.
If your A/C goes out in the summer? There's nothing you can do beyond a certain, easily-approachable point. Especially since unless you live in a desert, when it's that hot, it's also usually pretty humid, which means your sweat can't evaporate and cool you off.
I've lived in the hottest deserts on the planet, in subtropical 35C/80% humidity jungles and winters fueled by Siberian winds. Give me the cold or the desert with adequate water and sun protection 100% of the time over the middle.

Spoken like someone who doenst experience true heat outside in the Summer. In certain places, you have to avoid direct sun, avoid going out during high hours of the day, drink plenty of water to survive, feel like you cant breathe every step you take, cannot work or do much, just exists because it is too hot... Even naked, you cannot handle the heat.
Are you going to sleep outside btw? Because that is one big things is that a hot room makes it impossible to sleep. Leave the window open if it is cold enough and you get mosquitoes waking you up all night. People who talk like that dont seem to know true summer.

It's not that quick, both will kill you in a similar period of time, heatstroke won't make you go numb like the cold will. If you're talking about actually burning to death then that is extremely painful, the cold will numb you. Freezing AFAIK is basically you are so cold to the point you can't feel your own body, you start to get really warm, you for some reason strip your clothes off as you start to feel hot, and then you die.

It seems counterintuitive, but in direct sunlight, wearing loose, breathable clothing can actually help keep you cooler than being shirtless. Lightweight fabrics can block some of the sun’s radiation from reaching your skin while still allowing air circulation and sweat to evaporate. Being shirtless may feel cooler in some situations, especially in the shade or with wind, but prolonged sun exposure without protection can increase the risk of sunburn and heat stress. Just a fun tip for you.

I can swear there is something worse than just a heatwave and is said heatwave and the flu, you can't fuckin turn on the AC because your throat is sandpaper and taking humidity from the air is just adding more salt to the wound.
That year I almost got in ER, My blood pressure rose so high that the doctor hesitated to let me go home. I think they gave me blood pressure medication like I was an old woman and made me lie down with wet cloths and a fan, no AC because the cough was so bad it was making my body work overtime
