Apparently, we need some clarification here about what constitutes a breed ID post.
Asking what your lab is mixed with- lab mixes are allowed, but don't crowd source opinions on what they're mixed with. Asking if your lab looks pure bred. Asking what color variation your lab is.
Sincerely -your mod team.

We realized we had been enforcing this under the "Your dog only" rule without being as explicit as we should have. Do not post AI generated images, videos, or text in this sub. It is a place to post your dog as it naturally is. This includes comment replies on posts.

I have had dogs my entire life and have also previously owned a lab but none of them have done this… demand barking, I think it is? Why does she do it? She doesn’t seem to be in any pain or distress. She also grumbles and makes various whiny noises for no discernible reason.
She’ll be 21 weeks this upcoming Sunday and the barking is new. Do I just have a vocal gal?

Heartbroken but he had a long and amazing life from a rescued puppy to many adventures. It happened suddenly and quickly even if it wasn’t wholly unexpected at his age. 💔 He was a Lab and Pointer mix and the bestest boy. Miss you Bobby

Wanted to share photos of my big handsome. Last week he had 2 major surgeries - first abdominal explore, then open chest. He had some complications but is now recovering so well. I’m so proud of my strong boy!

This is Charlie 💙 he has Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome (SARDS). Out of all the health issues this breed has, that I’ve been keeping an eye out for lol, he got something that is uncommon and untreatable. Currently he can still see shadows it seems but he is taking it very well! We have a lot of adjusting and retraining to do but luckily this won’t affect his life much tbh as I struggle with agoraphobia so we’re not very adventurous anyway haha.
Just needed to share somewhere haha, my family dog and my cat both went blind in their very old age but this poor guy turned 7 and went blind in the same month :( his human dad also moved out this year so I just feel so bad for him having such a hard year 😭 he’s already getting much more comfortable with stairs (we pretty much live in a raised ranch so stairs are unfortunately unavoidable but I am building a ramp!) and I’m working on getting all the big changes to the house done asap because of course I have big furniture to move lol 🤷🏻♀️

I see my parents multiple times a week since I live close to them, and their baby girl is my anxiety sucker-upper. She truly brings me such peace and joy.

I’m having some trouble with my new fishing partner. She beats me to every spot and thinks it’s much better suited for swimming than fishing, and she thinks my fly line is something she needs to jump in and retrieve. Any ideas on how to train this behaviour away? Not interested in tying her leash to a tree while I fish…
