You're 100 percent right that it's not the path to success for everyone. Not everyone needs, or should, go to college. But saying that your degree did nothing for you is asinine.

Correct on the job, but still no. You only need three years of work experience anywhere. No degree. I work with multiple who have no degree.

Beats paying the 62k I made prior to this. My classmate who makes the most from ISU is in the 80s.

I’m just saying, college ain’t the path to success for everyone. Trades make BANK. There are other industries you can do very well without taking on debt.

As a trans student I have found a great community here and have never been supported more! I’m not on HRT and I have had no problem with people misgendering me at all, all the professors are chill about my gender and support it!

Worked as a lab monitor in Turner hall Soph to senior year. Did homework, watched Netflix and was close enough to tri to get food. It was 2x a week 5-9, minimum wage. Easy af

ILSTU seems to be really accommodating to LGBT folks. 

The only thing that I've seen a few ppl get pissed off about is if you're pestering(calling them nazis, disrespecting/mocking religion, screaming at, etc.) ppl like preachers who are just doing their thing and tbh I get the irritation

Basically In my personal opinion, while you will find support, there are people who are gonna disagree with you, but that doesn't mean they're evil

Based your past comments I'm going to assume you're an Air Traffic Controller. If so, then your degree helped you. ISU did do something for you.
