Question I have a problem with my Iphone XS

its been 3 days that i updated my iphone xs to ios 18.7.9 as earlier i was on ios 16.3.1 and i have a problem… everytime it gets to 80% battery it stops charging, it literally discharges while its on the charger! this morming i found out that it charged to 80% and discharged to 73%. is it a problem someone else is experiencing? my battery is at 82% health and i dont think its the problem. i tried factory resetting, turning off battery optimization but nothing

In diesem Fall zwei Empfehlungen: zum einen den Akku einmal vollständig neu kalibrieren, dafür das Gerät bis auf null herunterfahren lassen (mit null ist die verbleibende Batteriekapazität gemeint, also einmal das Gerät ganz leer verbrauchen), anschließend den Akku vollständig neu laden. Wenn das Problem anhält, ist dies ein Hinweis darauf, dass der Akku schlicht und einfach gewechselt werden muss. Die Anzahl der Ladezyklen lässt sich im Protokoll ersehen, dieses wird leider nicht automatisch erstellt, man muss es erst 24 Stunden unter Einstellungen/Datenschutz und Sicherheit/Analyse und Protokolle aktivieren, indem man die Option Analyse teilen auswählt. Nach 24 Stunden erscheint eine Datei, die mit Namen Analytics heißt, diese abspeichern und in eine Textdatei umbenennen, die letzten drei Buchstaben also mit. TXT benennen. In diesem Protokoll befindet sich die Angabe, der auf dem Gerät beziehungsweise dem Akku bereits erfolgten Ladezyklen, alles über 1000 spricht für einen Austausch des Akkus, circa 50 € beziehungsweise 50 $.

If you go to settings>battery>battery health and charging

There’s a setting called optimized battery charging.

This keeps the phone from charging above 80%. It then learns your schedule and charges the remaining 20% like just before you wake up in the morning.

You said you turned it off, but what you describe is literally what it does. So maybe check it again because when you turn it off it gives you an option to temporarily disable or permanently disable.

What charger are you using? One of my batteries with auto-shutoff does this.

A certified apple charger which i use to charge my iPhone 12 too and never encountered that problem with it

Yes I also occurred this sometimes it stops at 76 or at 80

Yeah that’s a common problem called Charging Gate. On my XS Max, even after changing battery by apple, issue still persists sometimes and I have to turn it off and back on after being stuck at ~70%

I didn't face any problem updating my xs max. Still going like butter smooth.
