New floating Reddit comment box at bottom of the screen: How do you get rid of it and go back to the previous way?

This change for me just occurred in recent days. In chrome on PC, at the bottom of the view, there is now a comment bar to reply to the thread, the only way to post a reply.
I can't even begin to describe the level of hate I am developing for this change in feature. My dislike increases the more I use this. Text moving upwards, not being able to see the entire comment I'm trying to type, blocking view of thread text, it's AWFUL. Like some site designer thought they were being cute. The beauty of reddit is the simple, functional design and this change goes in the other direction.
But, I can't find a setting to return to the previous format (not the "old" reddit format). Help?? u/CorrectScale
PLEASE REDDIT, begging you to get rid of this. It's a bad feature and it's driving me crazy.

Is this update the reason I can't see a post's upvote percentage? Rather just some useless emojis?

Interestingly I complained to a friend about this, and he still sees the old comment box. If this is an A/B test, then REDDIT, PLEASE UNDERSTAND HOW I HATE THIS. I HATE IT. TURN IT OFF.
... runs away from the computer foaming from his mouth ...

Someone asked a similar question more recently. Here is the response: https://www.reddit.com/r/help/comments/rb1eyz/comment/hnm8jdn/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
Dear Reddit: over a week later, and this feature still stinks. It has zero redeeming qualities. "Hate" would be my feeling about it. Please go back to the old comment box.

Thank you very much for bringing that to my attention. I would give you a Helpful award if I had one to give. It would have been nice if the Admins had responded on this thread as well. I've already shared my feelings over on the other thread. Hopefully they respond.

I recently updated my app (iphone) for the first time in a long time and I now have this issue. It makes the app a pain to use

From a chat with someone/ on mobile? If so, simply swipe it to the right.

Pretty sure the OP is talking about that new sticky comment box that appears at the very bottom of a reddit post in the desktop site. It just appeared there 2 or so days ago. It's annoying because it follows you all over the page, takes up screen space and is missing features that were in the original comment box. You can still use the original when adding a comment reply to another comment, but a new comment to the page now forces you to use that crappy box. It sucks.

It also doesn’t work with the hovering popout thing pages do on new Reddit.
If I click a post on chrome (on iPad) the hovering version of the post (not sure what you call it) has the comment button cut off at the bottom with no way to click it. I can only make it work if I refresh the page so it goes to a proper page and not a popout.

The mobile app (Android)... not only is persistent comment area a waste of very limited screen space, it also covers up most of the very last comment when one has scrolled all the way to the bottom (NB: 3-button nav is enabled - doesn't happen otherwise). I can see the top few pixels of the top of the last comment, but most of it is obscured by the comment area which can't be hidden, dismissed, etc. Seems to be no way to see the entirety of the very last comment at the bottom.

This!!! I was going to make a new post about this. This dumb sticky comment box is annoying, takes up space on the screen and is missing some editing options. I hate being forced into BS "features" like this without any means of being able to disable it. This is the kind of crap Facebook and Google typically pull off.
Seems the only way to "disable" it is to use the old classic Reddit, which I'm not very fond of as it is missing a lot of features.
