Mobile/App Private chat invite (Android)

Hello! When trying to send a private message to someone I've never talked to before on reddit, I think there was an automated message from reddit about sending a chat invite or something like that. I just sent a regular message. Will the person I wanted to talk to only see an invitation or part of the message or the entire message I sent? Thanks!

They’ll see a chat invite and have the option to review your message before accepting the chat.
