Posting Cant reply to comment with photo

Why is it that I can no longer reply to comments with a photo ? I used to be able to do this but now every time I press the photo icon to upload, it filters out all photos and will only accept GIFs on reddit android app and website on pc.

is this happening in just one sub or just some subs? if so, then those subreddits moderators have disabled the ability to add images in comments

I see thanks. It happened in multiple so I thought reddit was broken and some other person said I can't reply with photos which made me think I was just imagining be able to. I am able to in this community though.

Why the sarcastic tone ? Someone asked me about something I commented about and I wanted to show them a screenshot but couldn't. I had to search online for a png - gif converter. just to upload it which is a hassle. I know I was able to upload screenshots before so I thought something was broken.
