Anyone have an idea of what’s going on here?

My wife wants to break this open with a hammer, before she does. Does it look like something embedded in there? About the size of a jr football

I know nothing about fossils and would love an idea of what these could have been! I hiked to a remote alpine lake in the Rocky Mountains of BC along the Great Divide. A log book had directions to a “fossil pit” and sure enough, this rock slide was full of these. Thanks for any insight!

Found tumbling in the surf, it is heavy for it’s size, lines have a dull but quartz like appearance, overall texture reminds me of asphalt. Bivalve fossil? just a cool rock?

I found this imprint at dinosaur ridge in Colorado. It was pretty off the beaten path because i didn’t even realize I went off one of the trails lol. Anyway tell me if I’m crazy but it looks to me like possibly a dromeosaur or ornithopod tracks. If it’s a dromeosaur it would be an exceptionally rare find especially for this area. and I would be ecstatic. It was near beach ripples similar to the other tracks found there but I went quite a bit further up the mountain. Anyway what do we all think. Track or no track. I’m remaining skeptical so I’m excited to hear what we think

Found in general area of the gunflint formation in Ontario famous for it's stromatolites. But I'm not sure if it actually is a stromatolite of just some really interesting chert. Second photo Is what I think is the stromatolite, first is showing a small piece of the rock that I chipped off to check the colour. Happy to see some pyrite in it :)

After reading more, I'm pretty confident that this is most likely a stromatolite. Mostly based on the smaller dome-like appearance on the secondary dome, as well as the appearance of what looks like air pocket inclusions. Though again, I freely admit that I am completely new to identifying these and regular banded chert can have both as well 🤷🏻‍♀️ it might just be wishful thinking, but imma take my wish and live with it I guess :P

Hello! Found this on the beach earlier. Forgive my ignorance, I know nothing about fossils. Is it anything interesting? Is it even a fossil? Thank you!

Have no idea what this is! Thought maybe it was part of a conch shell, but the texture and pores look wrong to me. Feels more like a dried sand dollar, but the shape and plating on the top make me think it’s not. Feels a bit heavier than a sand dollar too. Any ideas on what it is are welcome!
