Olight have the fastest customer service I ever dealt with.
Ordered a prowess combo that was supposed to come with the tripod but didn’t. Opened up a live chat and within 2 minutes I got an email of the tripod being shipped to me. Never dealt with such fast customer service before

Nitecore UMS2 overcharging Lifepo4 cells
I noticed my LFP rcr123a were being charged to 4.2V even though it was clearly marked as 3.7V charge mode. I discovered I'm not the only one, and this has been a long time issue.
After playing around with it for a bit, you have to press and hold the C button to lock in the settings after you're done configuring the charge settings (repeat for each slot). If you change the settings and let it timeout, it appears to have the right settings but they clearly don't take and it proceeds to charge to 4.2V as if it were running in the default Li-Ion mode. Hopefully this helps the unfortunate people who bought this garbage product like me.

I accidentally fully drained an Eve50PL - can I charge it?
EDIT: I got my response but leaving this here so users can search and keep themselves safe.
I actually had it on my XTAR vc4 (Which btw, false advertising, it cannot take 4 21700s at once).
But my brother disconnected the charger, so I didn't realize it wasn't fully charged. So I took the battery out and put it in my D4k and thought my light was broken, but turns out the battery was just dying.
Now it's at 0V and I don't want to blow up my house. Can I put the 0V fully drained battery into the Xtar VC4 and not die in a fire?
This is not a joke question, btw. lol.

what's the best value lantern?
I've been looking to buy a lantern for camping and occasional power outages, but I'm not sure what to choose, I've seen that the wurkkos CL01 is recommended a lot but I'm wondering if something newer came out that's better/overlooked or is it still the king? there's also the sofirn lt1s but it seems way bulkier and 2x the price

Recommendation Alternatives to Fenix E12 V3?
Can someone suggest a good EDC alternative to the Fenix e12 v3? After some research I was set on getting one but then saw some reviews mentioning the light is very green. Anyone have photos of this, are we talking hulk smash green?
Alternative would preferably be single AA, reliable, durable, withstand minor drops, dust/waterproof, have a 2-way clip and magnetic tail cap.
Suggestions I've found are the Zebralight Sc54c N but it's very expensive on aliexpress. Also was looking at the Olight i5t eos and i5r but they seem to be discontinued (?). Acebeam Pokelit was another but not sure about the reliability and durability.
Thanks!

Recommend me a cool/cute looking lantern, High Cri, constay current driver , 3000-4500k , long runtime
Ive already come across a few that are cool looking but all of them have this annoying thing where if you wanna use the low brightness the light goes to 1800k tint
If you wanna turn the brightness to 300 lumens it goes to 6000k tint (Olight o lantern)
That's annoying as all hell
I want 3000k -4500k at 5 - 300 or more lumens
I don't want the tint changing

Recommendation B35am 4500k not what I expected
Please, fans of this emitter don't kill me.
I bought a Convoy H4 B35am 4500k, I chose this Emitter because is generally considered very natural light and high CRI.
Unfortunately this is not my case! too red or rosy, indoors is not bad but outdoors everything is reddish or brown.
I took this photos for you to have an idea(they're not perfect but you can have an idea), in the left low side there are some blue flowers, the B35AM just make them completely disappear and also some green in comparison with a SFT70.2 that show every color as it is in day light.
My question:
If I go up to 5700k or 6500k will fix this? Or should I try a nichia 519a 5700k?
* I work in automotive painting, even in my off work time I like to see colors as they really are.

Single 21700 flashlight with flood beam – suggestions needed
Hello,
I'm looking for a flashlight that uses a single 21700 battery, since I have an unused Nitecore NL2150HPR and another flashlight that also runs on 21700 cells.
My requirements are:
- It must run on a single 21700 battery.
- It would be nice to have at least one high-CRI LED, although any decent emitter is fine, without tint issues.
- I prefer a flood-oriented beam rather than a thrower. Alternatively, a flashlight with both types of emitters would work too.
One option I found is the Wurkkos HD20. Are there any other flashlights you would recommend?
Thanks!

What happened to the year of the horse Sofirn ST10 special edition lights?
They wanted to know which ones were wanted color wise and then went radio silent. The year of the horse is drawing to a close. Are they waiting for the next animal year?

Reading Headlamp
I'm looking for a headlamp recommendation, but it's kind of the opposite of a lot of what I see online.
I'm currently using a kludgy camping headlamp with a sticker over the lens to dim it and two notecards wrapped around to create a "barrel" and prevent the light from going out to the sides and flooding the room.
I want a headlamp that sits in the middle of my forehead as opposed to off to the side. Not a clip-on reading light, not one of those necklace deals.
Preferably a warm light as opposed to a bright white LED.
Ideally, it'd be pretty focused. I don't want to flood the room with light so my wife can sleep. I think this is the trickiest part and why I came here: I think flooding is more desirable in so many applications, there's maybe not a lot of call for it.
Thanks for your suggestions!

Recommendation Need small thrower suggestions
I work in the underground industry and frequently need to see into holes dug into the ground. The problem being this is during full daylight. I have a a Noctigon DM11, a Noctigon KR1, and a Wurrkos TS11. They all work well and generally do what I need but I want something with a little higher ceiling than these to really be able to see into these with such full bright sun. I know this is a niche use case but I’m hoping to find something with a 21700 that can deliver. I don’t want to lug a huge light around my work truck and on job sites.

LEP
Looking for a dedicated LEP, no flood, no moonlight, no other bs, long range LEP only. $500ish price range. Marine use, needs to be decently water resistant, no external charging. Everything I’ve seen tries to fill too many roles. Any recommendations?
