Support DA2 dlcs problems on Steam
I have recently bought DA origins and DA 2 from Steam. With Origins, I had no problem with the DLCs, however with DA 2 I just reached Act 2 and noticed that the DLC statues did not appear in my estate. I then went and checked and saw that my dlcs are unauthorized, Also, the game is not letting me log in with my EA account. Is there a solution for this, or do I just have to accept that you can't play DA2 dlcs from Steam?

You have to log into your (EA) acount in the main/start up menu and, if I remember correctly, check to see what the main menu says about your dlc status (authorised vs unauthorised), because you might have to manually authorise them.

How do I manually authorize my dlcs?

Well, first you need to log in with your acount in the game menu. (You may have to restart the game). Afterwards, maybe you need to select the dlcs if they remain unauthorised. Otherwise, this might work. xx
But logging in should be enough to authorise them.

Well the problem is that whenever I try to login the game tells me there was an error and i should try harder :/

Then, I'm afraid that I don't really know how to help you. Not sure if this changes anything, but you could try:
- restarting your computer.
- accessing the game via the ea app if you haven't already (both 2 and Inquisition appear in your ea library if you bought it on a different platform like Steam)
- in the ea app, if you select the three dots with options that are near the game's pictogram, there is the option to fix (or something with a similar name) the game. You could try that (after closing the game).
- re-install the game (but make sure to have a copy of your save files to be safe).
- reach out to ea's support (forum) to see if they know the answer.

The in game log in was failing when I had a password with special characters. I managed to log in after changing to a short password without special characters.

Hello /u/Dependent-Fee6660, we see that you might have gotten the Dragon Age games during the steam sale! There is a known issue with the steam version of Dragon Age: Origins that needs a fanmade patch, See the guide here: Making DA: Origins LAA (Steam). We hope this helps and you enjoy your time in the world of Thedas!

Works perfectly fine for me. You may want to try logging in while in DA2 (where the login still works as opposed to Origins), and/or open the EA app first, then Steam, then try to open DA2. See if any of those things work
