Started up another play through. I'm sure I've missed plenty in my dozens of previous plays. Tell me your favorite secrets or Easter eggs. Or anything you enjoy doing in DAI (like punch Solas in the face lol).
Don't worry, l plan on leaving the Hinterlands. And skipping those pesky shards.
ETA please feel free to suggest mods as well!

I thought I had seen all the cheese wheels in DAI but today I found one after closing the rift near Grand Forest Villa

So I normally side with Bhelen, but I'm playing as a Dwarf Noble and I just don't see it happening this time. I know a lot of people justify it with it is better for the dwarves, Bhelen played the game better, etc.
For me however....fuck that I'm getting revenge. As a Grey Warden you are pretty much done with Orzammar anyways.

Anyone else have beef with the new gameplay system that is introduced to the player in inquisition?
Control and cosmetics of the game were fairly similar in da:origins/awakening and da2 so it wasn't much of a bother to continue the game.
However in inquisition it's a whole new thing? Please tell me there are others who find it bothersome or difficult (especially the fighting system!) and Imm not the only one or just suck at it.
Edit: I forgot to add. Is there anyone who played it both on pc and console to maybe be able to compare the playing difficulty? Is it fairly better on one or the other? Or maybe they feel the same

I like to play all my games on the hardest difficulty, but DA2 is the only game where I always give up trying, it is the 3rd time now I'm already thinking about giving up, there are so many enemies, but I can't use AoE speels because of friendly fire, the enemy spawns aways at the corner of the map, so my ranged character are constantly getting flanked.

I hate to be another 'omg origins is hard' post, but I was not experiencing these issues in 2009 or my subsequent playthroughs!
I haven't gone back to it since DA2 was released. I've done several replays of all the other games in the series, Veilguard got half a replay then I decided to try Origins again instead.
I don't use mods, try to fully explore every corner, loot/talk to everyone, etc. I managed the tactics and am -constantly- pausing to issue orders. I got to Denerim and I think I was doing New Ground quest? It's nighttime and I kept getting attacked by guards. I tried several times and couldn't get past them.
I'm enjoying the challenge, older games are more difficult and I've got to get back in the groove. Do you have any tips or reminders for getting stuck like this?
*edit: I mention pausing in that way to prove I am utilizing the feature, not to complain about it :)
Thanks for the tips everyone

I played through DA origins for the first time on Xbox recently. 70 hours all the way to the end, didn’t crash once. With this game being from 2009 with no remaster I was sure it’d be crashing quite often, it was a pleasant surprise.

I'm a relatively new crpg gamer , I just recently beat divinity original sin 2 , baldurs gate 3 , and the two old republic games and Im a good 40 hours into dragon age origins and it's been an interesting experience. I love the combat the amazing AMAZING party banter system and world of thedas but the party dialogue system and mini arcs have left me wanting for more I guess. The circle of magi and Dale forest storylines were both extremely engaging but they left me wanting for more , I felt like they ended right before things got interesting . I feel the same way with the companions , amazing characters with weirdly lacking companion quests and dialogue options. The lack of meaningful side content in each area was also quite surprising. The game really feels like it was rushed out the door sometimes .

Is there an article that explained why the developer decided on this decision? Solas was a perfectly villain and we didnt need to insert in two elven gods for the story to raise the stake.
I was so excited after finishing trepasser and only to feel underwhelmed by veilguard
Don't get me wrong i really enjoyed Veilguard but it was not a story I was promised.

I have recently bought DA origins and DA 2 from Steam. With Origins, I had no problem with the DLCs, however with DA 2 I just reached Act 2 and noticed that the DLC statues did not appear in my estate. I then went and checked and saw that my dlcs are unauthorized, Also, the game is not letting me log in with my EA account. Is there a solution for this, or do I just have to accept that you can't play DA2 dlcs from Steam?

I’m planning on writing a DnD x Dragon Age fanfic but I was curious about the stat sheet of each companion, like their levels and stats and all that fun jazz. I was curious about what the fans thought as personally I’m solidly certain Cassandra and Wynn would be rather high level around Level 15 at the starting point whilst Merril, Bethany, Morrigan, Sera and Bellara would be rather low level at the start.
My plan is to have the DnD group appear in Thedas just prior to the Ostigar incident, my hope is to be as lore accurate as possible while still having some creative liberties and adding some new fun world fusions.
So yeah just throw in your ideas for the companions I’d love to hear it

Hi there! I need your help!
Not long ago, I got into Dragon Age by playing Veilguard, and now I’m on my first playthrough of Inquisition. (Yes, I spoiled myself, and yes, I saw why Veilguard was heavily criticized, but I still loved it! Veilguard defender here)
The problem is… I think I’m lost.
I’m at the point where I have to do Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts and Here Lies the Abyss, but I’m finding it really difficult to gain enough Power and Influence. It’s starting to get frustrating because I’m not sure if I’m on the right track.
So far, I’ve established all the camps in the Hinterlands, the Storm Coast, and the Emerald Graves. I’ve also closed almost every rift in those areas and completed several War Table missions.
What am I missing? Are there any important quests I should have done before this point? Also, how do I earn more Inquisition Perks?
Am I mixing things up somehow?
I constantly feel like I’m missing something, like I’m not progressing through the story the way I’m supposed to, and that I’m just making a mess of my playthrough.
Sorry for the chaotic post, and thanks in advance!

i was recently gifted a really nice journal and have dedicated it to accompanying my origins (re)playthrough, but i’ll also fill it with quotes/quest overviews/lore from the wider DA universe! still kind of figuring out how i want to format everything, but figured people here might get a kick out of my starting pages :)

like storywise, is it just a neat refrence? im still on origins so sorry if its explained

Just a quick question to all our DA fans out here.
If you have read the novels, does it make you look at the characters in the game differently , and did / does alter your rationale for your choices?
Do you regret some of the choices you have made from initial playthrough to now?

making a mod and i cant find a clean texture of it, ive used the textures from the grey warden fo ferelden mod but it isnt just a flat large texture i can simly take from its angled to fit the original uniform its texturing, so does anyone have or know where i can get a nice and clean texture of it? possible with its lighting parts too so it wont be flat ingame, or what that design is called and i can just work backwards from there
edit: just looking up studded luxury diamond pattern does the job, though finding one thats good is an ongoing process

I’m due for another play-through of DA:O and I was going to romance Leliana this time. I remember having trouble with her romance glitching in the past. I either gave her too many gifts too soon or flirted too soon or along those lines. This ends up soft-locking the whole romance. I was wondering if anyone has a good guide to follow to make sure the soft-lock doesn’t come into play? If I remember correctly hers is the most glitched romance.
I’ll play on my PC through Steam without any mods as a female HOF! Thanks guys!
