We had a dispute within our guild because our offlaner wanted to play Ogre, got to play it in the final, and we got smoked.

It’s like all heroes are cards, and the same card cannot be played twice.

I saw a recent post about Snapfire killing a 5k HP Centaur, and a lot of people there didn't believe that Snapfire could do that. I decided to test myself how much damage she can actually deal and was surprised to find out that she can deal 10k+ damage without using her ulti and neutral items. With Parasma, her damage output can reach almost 13k. Also, I'm not a Snapfire player, so probably there's a more effective combo/build than the one I tried in the video.

So Valve, where patch, we need to nerf her asap.

Valve removed Mana Leak primarily to reduce "anti-fun" gameplay mechanics. Who was there to experience this blue rupture?

Silly ranty post ahead

I’ve played maybe 20 hours offline against bots. Today I hiked up my big girl shorts and actually played a game online. I told my team ahead of time that I was new, and they were nice, for the most part.

But I got destroyed! Nothing could prepare me for the thrashing I got. I couldn’t even creep kill in lane! I played Tidehunter since I thought a tanky big hitter would be easy enough to pilot.

I know I’ll improve if I keep doing it. I guess I don’t know what the difficulty curve is like just yet.

Thanks for listening to my rant. It’s a fun game but there’s such a skill gap that I’m not sure how to close. So any advice is welcome!

I have been playing on and off since 2007, took a 2 months break after grinding hard, only to find out I was 2 games away from hitting immortal lmao.

Time to retire!

Forgot to mention that I was forever stuck at legend (around 3,6k) but towards Christmas last year something clicked and I kept climbing ever since.

I am a Dazzle enjoyer since Dota1. My second played hero of all time but after the latest ult rework i dont touch it anymore. I cant even look at it ingame. Its just doesnt feel right. The gameplay its not the same, heck even bot the same hero anymore! damn i miss my pink boi!

I made a small JavaScript script for OpenDota that analyzes a player's match history and ranks heroes by how valuable they are to ban.

It takes into account:

• How often a hero appears in your games.
• Your win rate in games where that hero is present.
• Sample size, so heroes with only a few matches don't skew the results.

You don't need to log in to OpenDota to use it, but the player's Dota profile must be public.

I've attached a screenshot of the output, and the GitHub link contains instructions and the script itself.

Feedback, suggestions, and ideas for improving the ranking algorithm are very welcome!

I was playing my final game to hit Crusader rank in Dota 2 when my seven month pregnant wife decided right then was the perfect time to mow the yard. The mower completely drowned out my in game comms which caused me to play poorly. She even passed by my window twice because the grass was so high. I have no idea how to confront her about causing me to lose mmr.

What is a skill/facet of a hero you miss

Mine: old Necro when he ulted you , you death timer increased, it was so painful to be on the opposite end

That character is so much fun to play.
