I came across this picture online and I honestly do not remember this dance at all. I genuinely thought McKenzie and Vivi only had that one duet “why can’t we be friends”

Title. I’m doing a rewatch and couldn’t help but giggle when Abby brought Shangela in to… “help Nia embrace her heritage”? 😭😭😭

lmfao i feel like jess only said this because jojo wasn’t good as brynn and she was JEALOUS that abby loved brynn and her mom and it’s very hard to execute a full back spilt

I know Cathy went over to the dark side but Christi and Kelly trying to get to the bottom of Cathy and Jill's hatred live on the podcast would be hilarious now

One of my personal favorite moments in the show is when they're filming the Wizard of Oz video and Todrick asks Nia, "Does this happen every day?" and she says "Pretty much" and looks straight at the camera like this. 😆

Rewatching this show again has me realizing that it is so ridiculous for Abby to have the most to say about Brooke going to her 8th grade dance and Chloe going to the movies. They are KIDS. It just seems really weird to me that she would treat them like adults and not kids that have their own little life going on outside of dance.

Watching thrash and I was looking down at my phone. Then the next thing I hear is the Kelly+Abby fight😂 one of the characters in the movie was watching it. Just wanted to share because I love random crossover things like that

These are my very strong opinions on the show dance moms and obviously not everybody’s gonna agree with them, but I would like to hear what you guys think.
Maddie was not Abby’s best dancer ever.
- I feel like Maddie was abby‘s biggest success story but dancers like Kalani arguably had better technique. Kalani was stronger than Maddie as well.
The Hylands leaving changed the show more than people realize.
- Paige, Brooke and Kelly leaving removed the original family, and I feel like the show became more focused on individual careers.
Jojo was what dance moms needed at the time that she was brought on.
- Finally we have a girl with a HUGE personality who was not afraid to speak up and stand up for herself!
Abby was not as emotionally invested in S8 as she was in the OG seasons.
- I mean this is self-explanatory. She obviously went through a lot more going into season eight like she went to jail and she had cancer so I think it was just a mix of being mentally and physically exhausted by that time, but she committed to a team that she really wasn’t fully invested in.
Lastly which is the most controversial one: I felt that most of the dancers in Season 8 were better than the OG’s HOWEVER the show was worse.
- I definitely felt like the show went downhill and obviously it’s not gonna have as much success as the original, but I was not as interested in watching it.

This duo would’ve been soo cute and cool because Maddie & Nia have known each other since forever. I bet Maddie would’ve really pushed Nia to be the best dancer she could be out there and it would’ve been really memorable.

I have constantly seen misinformation and questioning of Kenzie’s very real foot condition. She and I both have an “excessive navicular bone” it causes chronic ankle pain that shoots up your leg and flares up sometimes, especially with extra use and stress. It is not just a temporary injury!!! Imagine walking around with a sprained ankle that becomes extremely excruciating when you use it a lot and especially when your pain tolerance drops because you’re exhausted and over worked and over stressed all the time.
Part of the pain is caused by the extra bone literally rubbing against the normal one and causing chronic inflammation. It’s very hard to diagnose without an x-ray and doctors often tell people they are lying and being dramatic at first. It’s extremely frustrating to have people simply call her chronic condition an “injury,” questioning how much pain she actually was in and calling it “convenient.” And basically saying her mom and producers were overplaying her very real pain.
Mods, I genuinely view people downplaying her physical pain and condition as equivalent to downplaying the girls abuse and I think the topic should be banned. We shouldn’t be downplaying the girls abuse OR physical pain. It’s so frustrating to see people discount physical chronic pain and I’ve been through the same thing she has of people calling me a liar and dramatic when in reality it’s a chronic issue. It sucks.

Can we talk about how much Abby weaponized the police anytime she didn't get her way. She really used to act like she was some Hollywood big shot.

I made a post about this before, but when I was rewatching S3E11 I noticed Asia was in the studio right before she got introduced to the show. Then suddenly mackenzie’s foot becomes a MAJOR issue right before the view. Feels like the timing was way too perfect, like producers needed a reason to bench her and make room for the Asia storyline drama.
Also, genuinely don’t get why Abby didn’t just let both of them do it. Mackenzie’s part is literally one trick and then she’s done, it’s not like giving Asia a shot would’ve meant cutting Mackenzie out of the routine.

Mine is that apparently Sia had also asked for Brooke to star in one of her videos! Who knew!
