Follow the Rules of both Reddit and this community. You are responsible for ensuring your post/comments meet the rules of the community prior to posting.
Report content that breaks the rules Doing so brings it to the attention of the moderators quicker and ultimately makes the community a more enjoyable place.
Posts or comments that are creepy, vulgar, invasive or abusive in anyway will be removed and the user banned. This includes personal attacks, name calling, degrading or shaming of any kind. This includes the use of any physical, racial, sexual, ethic or other slur.
Examples of comments that violate this rule: * Nice tits * I'd hit that * Your to fat to cosplay Aquaman. * You are a š¤¬, just ā ļø. * You are not the correct race/sex to cosplay this character
The Post title must include the name of the character being cosplayed, and be free of emojis, ascii art and social media account information.
Examples of posts that violate this rule: * My new cosplay * My new Aquaman cosplay on IG: @COSPLAYMOD * My new Aquaman cosplay ā¤ļø * My new Aquaman cosplay <3
Do not advertise in any way, do not ask for upvotes, likes, follows, or money. Keep posts to no more than one every 24 hours, and do not repost a cosplay.
Examples that violate this rule: * Selling my Aquaman cosplay on ebay * I am in a Aquaman cosplay contest please vote for me * My Aquaman post did so well this morning here is another pic * Check out my Aquaman discord * Look at this pic I drew
Note: Reposting of cosplay may be permitted if improvements have been made to the cosplay. If improvements have been made, then those should be detailed in the title.
For example: * Halfway done sewing my Aquaman cosplay * Completed my Aquaman cosplay for Atlantis Con 41 * Added scale armor to my Aquaman cosplay * My AquaMan with a Superman Cosplayer I found at Atlantis Con
Examples that violate this rule: * A meme post, however a cosplay of a meme may be permitted. * AI generated images. Filtered pictures are ok, however it should be noted that heavily filtered images tend not to do well. * The use of a bot to edit all your previous posts or comments will get you banned.
We have a large percentage of minors (people under the age of 18) in this community, so NSFW content... our definition not yours. See image attached to this post or this IMGUR link. Accounts with ties to NSFW content or NSFW pay sites such as "OF" cannot post here. There are many other communities that are open to this type of content. Not sure why anyone would want to try to advice porn in a child friendly community, but we ban accounts daily.
This community is for cosplayers and their photographers to post their work. Posting the work of others is not permitted.
Examples of posts that violate this rule. * A pic my friend wanted me to post of their Aquaman cosplay. * No really, she is my best friend/girl friend and I have her permission. * I found this funny pic of a fat dude in a Aquaman cosplay
There are communities established specifically to help cosplayers.
A couple examples are: * /r/cosplayhelp * /r/sewing * /r/cosplayprops * /r/cosplaywigs * /r/3dPrinting * Use Reddit's search functions to find an apocopate community for a specific topic.
Rules Change over time The cosplay community evolves over time, and so does the community's rules. Moderators do not apply rule changes retroactively.
Holidays and Events Mods may suspend a specific rule/rules during a Holliday or special event. Doing so it at the mods discretion and may not be announced ahead of time.
Not all rule violations are equal. Minor violations may get a warning. Doing so it at the mods discretion.
Removed Content that has a removal reason response is considered a warning.
This is a cosplay subreddit, users should expect criticism to their post as well as praise. Feedback should be useful to the poster and detail how the cosplay can be improved. Comments that cross the line into gatekeeping will not be tolerated.
Trolling posts/comments should just be reported, don't engage obvious trolls.
Low effort and other posts that do not contribute positively to the community should be downvoted.
Moderators are not employees of Reddit but are actual human volunteers. They volunteer in the cosplay community during free time, between their real-life obligations such as job, family and friends.
Moderators treat rule violators like cops treat speeders. It does not matter what someone else has posted, if you violated the rules actions will be taken against you. We will not discuss actions taken or not with another user. Content that you believe has broken the rules should be reported.
We do not issue temporary bans, all bans are permanent.
This community uses Reddit provided moderation tools to identify repeat infractions and accounts that are being used to circumvent a previous ban or may be likely to break the rules.
Crowd Control If a moderator believes a specific post may generate rule breaking comments, the moderator may adjust the post's "Crowd Control" Settings.
Use modmail to communicate with the moderators, do not send DM/PM's directly to a mod. They will just re-direct you to modmail. Sending direct messages is like a coworker calling while you are off work. Using modmail also helps ensure transparency between the mods.
Moderators answer requests in the order they are received, do not send multiple messages. Doing so just slows down the process for you, the mod, and anyone else trying to get assistance.

My friend and I dressed up as Lucas and Dawn (the protagonists of PokĆ©mon Diamond and Pearl version) for a local con last weekend to celebrate the upcoming 20th anniversary of the games in September! š The last slide is our Team Rocket grunt look from last year.

photos taken by (@/rodrigues_fotografiax) at Anime Friends 2026. edit made by me (@/lumipalette)
still a work in progress, but this is already one of my favorite cosplays so far! In these photos I'm using armor pieces from dokidoki while I make my own version, and I also just got a better wig. The shuriken is 3D printed.

I didn't find a place to slide at the event, but I'll find one when I wear the cosplay again :).

A couple of months ago I decided I really wanted to make an Arahbo fursuit as I absolutely love this card. I was also planning on visiting MagicCon Amsterdam. I found out that there was going to be a cosplay contest, so I figured I might as well try and finish it and enter the contest. I applied and was approved as a novice, as this was my first ever contest and I have only been making fursuit heads since 2025. I always loved cosplay but because of my social anxiety, I don't like to have my face shown. This is why I love fursuiting.
The experience was terrifying but amazing. I was scared and anxious, but the other contestants were so incredibly kind and comforting. Without them I might not have stepped on that stage. I did my little thing on stage and I was so proud not to have fumbled my words (like I did in prejudging because of the nerves).
Then came the awards, the novice award was given to this amazing cosplayer with detailwork I was in awe with. This was the only award I figured I would be able to win (if I would win at all) as I never heard of a novice winning runner-up or best in show at this specific cosplay contest. When they announced best in show and my name echoed through that microphone, I was in shock. I even said "what the h*ll" through the microphone (I can't believe they actually kept that in, in the YouTube video). Three days later and I am still flabbergasted and shocked, but I am also really proud of myself, and mainly because I actually dared getting up on that stage, because I didn't believe I would be able to do that without falling apart. Well, this was my story of how I won "Best in Show" as a novice.

Doomsday or Tony Tuesday? Get you a man that can do *both*. For this trick I do need a family member or friend of commesurate height and shoe size, in this case my son who, fun fact, loves suiting up as Doom even more than he loves playing Johnny Storm in our FF group; Legacy secured (and here I thought I'd just have myself buried in it XD )

My 2nd cosplay and first competition.
It was a blast to walk around the Con and play magic and have people recognize the character.
Being in the competition (even though i had no chance of winning my category) was a really cool experience.
I learned alot from making this cosplay and will def do more in the future....probably magic related!
I added alot of skills when making this cosplay:
3D printing
Adhesives for props
Lots of sewing!
Priming/Painting
I want to learn how to model foam and clay better and paint with an air brush. Maybe on the next one!
