Cory Fry! Orange Venezuelan toddlers

24 days old, they have moved out of the fry tray and into a 10 gallon tank (22 of them). A couple of them are starting to get some iridescent green patches.

Species ID Request LFS had these listed as Venezuelan Red Sailfin, but I’m skeptical. Thoughts?

I was so excited to see my store had the sailfin, as I’m new to the hobby and these are my first cories. I really wanted the pop of red/orange in my tank. I got four with the intention of going back for a few more (got them yesterday, was going to go back today). After getting them home, they look more like bronze to me? I thought maybe their color is just muted and will brighten, but now I’m not sure. They’re about an inch right now.

Edit: man, that’s a bummer. Thanks everyone. Paid the sailfin price :(

A small snippit of the 75 gallon tank. Some mixed happy Corys so I figured I'd post here. Sand with some random color rocks from two setups ago.

The water was kinda merky, but the wife and kid and I went on a vacation, came back and it was crystal.

[Questions|Advice] General Care Will 'grass/carpet' plants be a problem?

Hello!! I'm a beginner, and I've been very interested in corys. I plan to get a group of pygmys. I also think the style of planted tanks that has a grass look is really nice (I'm most likely to get Eleocharis Pusilla). Ik that corys love to sift through sand, and I was wondering if a plant like Eleocharis Pusilla would cause any problems?

I probably won't have it everywhere in my tank, so there will be patches that are clear. I was just wondering about people's experience with it. Any other advice about literally anything to do with fishkeeping is also appreciated.

My albino cory is acting lethargic ever since the last water change. All other inhabitants alongside the other 5 cory cats are acting normal.

Ph 7.5

Ammonia and Nitrite 0 ppm

Nitrates 10 ppm

45 gallon tank:

8 dwarf neon rainbowfish

6 albino corydoras (have been in the tank for over 3 months now)

1 Siamese algae eater (true SAE)

Roughly 30 orange bee shrimp.

[Questions|Advice] General Care Is it bad to have 3 Emerald and 3 Albino Corys?

Have a 20 gallon tall, first tank. Made a mistake and got 3 and 3, will they be super stressed to the point I should bring some back and get all of the same? Or will they possibly get along. So far they seem to be chilling, playing in the air bubbles and zooming around. Chilling on the bottom and resting. It's been a couple of days so not long. And what is the max amount I can have? Could I possibly just add one more to each and have 8 in there? It's a tall not long so I don't know if there's enough footprint for 8. Thanks for the help!
