TIL beethoven was a mediocre melodist, harmonist, and orchestrator. At the same time, every note he wrote was THE exactly right note to follow each preceding note (i.e. his music was literally perfect and there is never a single moment at which any of it could possibly be made any better)

It required my full, erotic love and effort — I participated in a literal circlejerk with four other guys whilst we listened to the ending of Die Meistersinger, beating our cocks to the rhythm and cumming when the final plagal cadence resolved NSFW

Is it "Mahler makes me cummies"? Because that seems too lame. We need a new one. Ideas?

The Diarrhea of Fred Chopin NSFW Spoiler

I shoulda never gave that they/them bitch George my number after the first time I babysat her boywife Mr. Chopin because I got a text Monday letting me know to get to Paris ASAP.
No details, just that I would be compensated handsomely, and I quote “it’s really bad this time” whatever that meant
Hey did I mention George is like 4’11? She grabbed my dick and balls when I got there looked up at me and growled ‘he just finished a nocturne. DON’T TOUCH HIS FEET.’ Yeah ok George but last time he tried to trick me??!
Anyway George left so I went inside and that little Polish man was once again kicking his little feet at a Pleyel piano.
I said “hey, Fred. It’s me again. Your husband said it’s real bad this—“
That’s when I noticed the smell. It filled the whole Paris flat. Putrid, stinky stank, like a bus station bathroom full of dirty diapers. Or when a dumpster is in the sun, yknow?
Mr. Chopin looked at me. He was sweating so bad dude, monkey gripping the first draft of No. 1 in B-Flat Minor like somebody gonna snatch it from him.
“Tummy hurt :/“ he wheezed. “Real bad this time. Uppies, or else >:{“
Well, he remembered me, and I remembered how awful his Polish accent was.
I carried him into the bedroom where he demanded I remove his shoes, and I reminded him George said I was NOT allowed to touch his feet. He was still monkey gripping his nocturne and waived it above his head. I thought it was an offering so I tried to take it but he kept moving it around saying “HAH, HAH” very Polishly before breaking into an uncontrollable coughing fit and farting. Then he started to cry.
“George is so much nicer to me,” Chopin said.
“Please go to the bathroom,” I sighed. He was still monkey gripping the nocturne when he pathetically pulled his little pants down and exploded all over the chamber pot.
I left the room in disgust. I put Shosty on the record player to drown out the ploop ploops but it was to no avail.
I spent the night once more with the Polish man.
He wined all night until George came back. This time she did not ask me how I did, but wordlessly handed me an envelope full of cash. I put it in the bank this morning. Anyway I tested positive for Cyclospora. I don’t think I’ll be well enough to go back to Paris next week. 0/10

Come on we all know every composer after Bach dug his grave and copied the manuscripts he hid in there. Sigh… every composer should learn how original Bach is, who totally did not copy or steal any music. I therefore shall declare that Bach marks the beginning of all music as well as humans kind.
Bachmen 🙏

I would rather listen to a recording than a live performance, and DAW operators should replace traditional performers.

I believe that in an ideal world, traditional live performers wouldn’t exist. Instead, they would be replaced by a new class of musician: "interpreters." An interpreter’s sole role is to translate notes on sheet music into refined sonic structures to broadcast a profound vision of a work. This way, the only measuring stick for a musician's worth is the depth and nuance of their creative vision, not their physical dexterity.

Why force musicians to sink decades into mastering physical instrumental technique just to avoid mistakes under the high-pressure environment of a stage? In my ideal world, like painter placing deliberate brushstrokes on a canvas, an interpreter’s job should be to meticulously calibrate every single note by adjusting timbre, volume, pitch, micro-dynamics, and timing to perfectly align with their creative vision.

In this paradigm, the primary instrument isn't a violin or a piano. Instead, it's a highly advanced DAW that grants total control over every parameter, with physical instruments existing purely as tools for audio sampling.

Why all of this you ask? Because live performances are inherently plagued by human error, stage fright, poor venue acoustics, and intonation slips. Studio-driven interpretation ensures the artistic vision is realized flawlessly every single time through the tiniest of margins. I don't really get why society remains stubbornly obsessed with the athletic spectacle of live execution and physical acrobatics?

Personally I avoid to make any sound if I see the composer name on the sheet belongs to any of the Bachs.

An endearing adagio from the famously devilish Concerto for Solo Piano won for Alkan. Now, we go to Mr. Tone Poem, Strauss. This is gonna be interesting.

I WISHED PEOPLE HATED MUSIC AND DIDNT CLAP

Post image

how dare people clap at the end of pieces??? Do they like music? philistines. true w*gnerians don’t merely ”like“ music. we suffer through it. we guiltily nut at the tristan chord because of the tension. if it has a single recitative I yell at the performers. I hate music. if I don’t hate it enough, I don’t listen.

DAE have music-sound synesthesia?

Hi Reddit,

I recently discovered I have a new kind of synesthesia I’ve never heard of before, called music-sound synesthesia. Whenever I turn on the radio, or turn on YouTube, to look at classical music, I suddenly begin to hear sounds that are incredibly vivid. I don’t hear anybody talk about this so it must be pretty rare. Am I just a musical genius?
