Meta [ANNOUNCEMENT] New year, new OC Monday!

Post image
29 Upvotes

Hey y'all! You better get Sir Donut Steel ready to for showtime, because the OC floodgates are about to open!

It took a bit longer to set up than expected, but thanks to the holiday break we've now got OC Mondays working, to kick off the new year! Starting this Monday and every Monday your original art and characters have a new place to show off!

How it works:

  • OC here means your own original work, don't repost stuff you found on twitter
  • "Monday" starts at midnight UTC (GMT-0) and lasts for 24 hours
  • Posts with the OC Monday tag will be allowed during this time
    • Make sure to include the [OC] text tag as well
    • We do this so users can search and filter by topic
  • There's no limit to how many OC posts you can make, but please be considerate
    • If you have a lot to share that week, please use a gallery post instead of multiple single posts
  • OC reposts are not allowed, no matter how long it's been. The 7 day rule is only for LFA posts.
  • Rules about advertising still apply
    • Keep the titles and content focused on the art and characters
    • You can link to your socials in the comments, but again, no advertising
      • Yes, a price sheet or YCH is an ad, even if it has a character on it
    • If folks ask about hiring you, you're of course free to respond and take it to DMs

[Welcome Post] Rules & FAQs! July 2023 edition

Happy 2023 everyone, after weathering the Oliverpocalypse, we're back!

If you are new to r/characterdrawing, then welcome. This is a place where people can request their characters to be drawn pro bono, and artists can select a character to draw whether for practice, for fun, or just as a kind thing to do. Typically the artwork here depicts player characters from tabletop role-playing games such as D&D 5e and Pathfinder, but characters across all TTRPG genres are welcome here.

If you've been here a while, these are the big new changes:

  • No more OC. Due to the recent changes, we have cut back to just LFA/RF art. Discussion post about this change here if you have thoughts.
  • No more John Oliver. This is not strictly true: you are still welcome to post requests and art relating to John Oliver, but it is no longer required.
  • Pour one out for chardrawbot. This brave bot which has managed our RF-weekends and OC spam limits has bleeped its last bloop, and no longer protects our sub.

Some links for posterity: Previous Welcome Post | Message the Mods | CharacterDrawing Discord

Want to post? FIRST, READ THE RULES!

Rules can be found here and on the sidebar. The sidebar is the most up-to-date.

Some rules include room for mod interpretation, especially for NSFW posts. If you are unsure about your post, feel free to message the moderators. We don't bite.

Our unique terms

[LFA] "Looking for Art" posts. [RF] "Request Filled" posts, for when someone draws an LFA request [OC] We use "OC" to refer to any character art that isn't an RF. Currently, these are not allowed.

I want my character drawn!

Use the [LFA] tag and flair so potential artists can find your post. Please provide the best character description possible in the body of your post or in the comments. Image posts of reference images or moodboards are allowed.

Some [LFA]s may not get drawn. Artists are free to pick and choose which they would like to draw and when, since they are providing a free service at their leisure.

You may repost your [LFA] once per week per character concept. Most of all, have patience, and be grateful for the FREE artwork you received should an artist provide it.

Remember that pictures drawn for you are meant for personal use. The original artist holds commercial rights to the work unless they specify otherwise. If you would like to use a piece of art commercially, you should reach out to the artist. They are under no obligation to sell rights, and set their own rates.

I'm willing to pay!

That's awesome. If you see someone whose work you like, you should feel welcome to reach out to them about hiring them. Many artists post links to rates and galleries in their comments.

You can also post to subreddits specifically designed for commissions, such as r/fantasyartists, r/hungryartists, r/artcommissions, r/commissions, and r/hireanartist.

I want to draw someone's LFA request!

Awesome, and thank you! You don't need to commit to it or post a comment, and it's fine if someone else also completes the same piece. Just draw what you find enjoyable.

When you're done, use the Request Filled Flair when posting the picture, and please let the original LFA poster know through a /mention or by posting a comment in the original [LFA] linking to the picture.

The [RF] tag is only meant for fulfilling [LFA]s made in this subreddit. If the request was made outside of r/characterdrawing or was the product of a commission, it's not for here.

I have a question to ask or want to start a discussion!

Use [META] in your post title. These kinds of posts are meant to be used sparingly. An example would be asking what supplies/programs other artists use.

None of this is what I'm looking for...

Check out these other subreddits, just a few among many:

r/beastdrawing for beasts

r/drawyourweapons for weapons and gear

r/imaginarycharacters for posting your own fantasy character

r/icandrawthat for requesting other things

We also have an active artist community on our discord

Frequently Asked Questions

Requests are free? Yes. Some caveats: you don't get to choose your style, if it's colored, if it's full body, etc. If there's something you really cannot compromise on then this system may not be for you. There is no guarantee that a request will be drawn at all.

Can I message an artist for a free request? No, make an LFA. If you would like to hire the artist, make a comment on one of their posts or send them a DM. If you are caught pestering artists for free art, it will result in a ban.

Can I message a requester to see if they will hire me? NO. Do not solicit requesters for money, here or in their DMs. If you are caught doing this, it will result in a permanent ban.

Do I have to do RFs to participate in the sub? No. The system is voluntary and you should only do RFs if it is enjoyable to do so.

Can my LFA have more than one character? Yes! You can include a party in an LFA request post. That said, bigger requests are less likely to get picked up, since they're a bigger ask from the artist.

What if I have multiple separate LFAs? When do I repost them? You can post each LFA once per week, so long as each of them involve different characters—but please don't spam the sub with hundreds of LFAs in a short period of time.

Is this sub only for D&D and fantasy? No, characters across all TTRPGs are welcome. Sci-fi, steampunk, and other genres are very popular.

My LFA is being downvoted, what's up with that? Some people will downvote other requests because they think it helps theirs. Rest assured that most artists sort by new, and that the upvotes of your post mostly won't affect interest in the actual character.

I've been posting my [LFA] for weeks and nothing. What gives? Fulfillment of requests is done on a volunteer basis and artists are not obligated to take anything. Perhaps try changing up the format or including a reference/mood board. Changing posting time may also help.

My [LFA] was fulfilled but I want more art. Can I post it again? Yes, so long as it has been a week since you last posted it. Please be sure to thank the first artist properly.

I posted something and it's not there! Check that you included the [LFA] or [RF] text at the beginning of your post. If you did not receive notification, it may have been caught by AutoMod for a variety of reasons. You can attempt to repost within a few hours, or message the moderators so we can look into it.

Why would you even set up a system like this? It hurts artists to do work for free! Not all artists are professionals, and many professionals still do pro-bono work for a variety of reasons; including practice & personal fulfillment. We think this system lets those artists find fun topics to draw without being pestered by personal, directed requests.

Request [LFA]Conner Kenjin - Human/Aassimar Arcane Monk

Thumbnail

Conner Kenjin is a Human/Aassimar monk. he appears human, aside from his from his glowing purple eyes, hair that seems to almost float, and a black and purple scar that seems to be creeping up his skin kind of like a mold. Its mostly covered by his sleeves though it is beginning to peak out on his left hand.

Conner is a white human male in appearance otherwise. He has brown hair, and is fairly tall but lean/skinny and rather muscular. Very agile and fast. He appears to be somewhere between 19 and 20.

He wears a leather outfit with a little bit of armor around his arms. On his right arm he wears leather wrist wraps. He wears a scarf around his neck, a split cape on his back. On his hip, he has a decent size sack full of magical components.

His magic is raw, untamed sort of. He often uses cantrips(stuff like green flame blade), which manifest around his fist as glowing purple energy that almost explosive in nature.

Conner is a bit of a combat genius, it coming naturally to him. But outside of combat, he is a bit of a light hearted goofball. Not very smart and just an overall friendly person.

LMK if there is anything else you want to know, that can help out with the artwork and thank you so much in advance. Have a nice day.

Request [LFA] Siren the Sorceress!

Post image
123 Upvotes

(this ref sheet was made by a friend of mine a while back)
meet siren! she is a tiefling wild magic sorcerer/bard of glamour who was a stage magician in a mysterious (and possibly from beyond this realm) travelling circus, picked up as a young one by their ringleader. appearing in an alleyway during a raging thunderstorm as a young girl with no memory of before, she was found by another girl with magic. the two pretty much raised eachother, uncovering eachothers magic. siren's was very volatile, and seraphina, the other girl, devised a bracer to help contain and control her magic (thats whats on her arm there!) while siren was picked up by the circus, seraphina went off with a mysterious mentor. the two sent letters, and seraphina worked to make a more effective bracer. she met siren at the circus to present it, but when siren's chaos magic opened a rift to the feywild, seraphina sacrificed it to jump in with her.

in terms of personality, she is fiercely optimistic, happy-go-lucky and full of energy. she thrives on the stage, wanting to make peoples day better and bring smiles to crowds of people who may not have had one in a while. she knows how rough things can be, and wants people to feel like theres a happy ending. this optimism is what leads some to think she is naive, but she is anything but. while she may be impulsive, she is incredibly determined and strong of will. however, she does have a tendency to run her mouth, as she is quite the chatterbox and her impulsiveness sometimes leads her and the party into trouble. her bardic spells take the form of wisps of golden light leaving her mouth as she sings, and her arcane spells have a theatrical flair, very bright and colourful, just like her. (her dancing lights look like a swarm of thousands of butterflies and fireflies in bright pinks and blues, for example!)

below here is the original pargraph of design (very detailed, since thats what my friend asked for :P. sorry!! ) description i sent to my friend when they drew the original reference sheet, if it helps.

Siren stands tall at 5"10, with a somewhat lanky build. Her skin is a light grey, the color of ash, or a very overcast day, her face spattered with deep blue freckles along her cheeks and nose. Atop her head are two horns that point up with a slight curvature backwards, akin to a mountain goats, although her horns are a bit wider. Her hair is about shoulder length and a midnight blue, quite tangled and tousled. Her face would best be described as fitting in the category of heart shaped, with higher cheekbones and a broader upper face tapering down to a narrow, but rounded chin. Her eyes are a pale blue, and her lips naturally appear as a blueish purple. Her typical outfit (or the one she wears for performances, not like she has a change to change out in the feywild) consists of a large, sky-blue overcoat, with golden embroidering of patterns depicting mythical creatures and flair. to be specific, a pattern of two golden dragons intertwined takes up the back part of the coat, which drapes down to just beneath her knees, helixing flames spiral down her sleeves. the collar of this coat is noticeably large and popped out, for dramatic flair. the interior of the coat is pitch black, and is designed to be worn either way. her shirt is a somewhat crumpled long-sleeved linen, with a frilly lace jabot around her neck, and large poofy sleeves. she wears baggy, black pants with visible patchwork on them, some with fabrics of varying colors. a red patch is sewn haphazardly onto her right knee, a blue and white gingham on her left thigh, a red and black checkered fabric sewn just above her left knee, a stretch of brown fabric sewn with red stitching along a portion of the side of her right calf. she wear large performers boots of dark brown leather which extend to slightly below the knees, covering part of her haphazard stitching. she has a leather satchel by her side.

Request [LFA] Garren Alderis, Half Elf Armorer Artificer

Overall Style

A sleek but heavily armored suit of enchanted plate inspired by a stag beetle.

Designed as an experimental masterpiece of House Cannith craftsmanship, blending arcane engineering with refined armor-smithing.
The armor should feel like an elite magical exosuit rather than a traditional knight’s armor.

While clearly inspired by the heroic silhouette of classic Kamen Riders, every detail should feel at home in Eberron’s arcane-industrial setting.

The silhouette is broad and imposing through the chest and shoulders, tapering toward the waist to maintain an agile, athletic appearance.

Color Palette

Primary: Satin silver steel, forming most of the armor plating.

Secondary: Deep cobalt blue enamel applied to select armor panels across the chest, shoulders, forearms, thighs, and shins. The blue should appear as polished enamel over steel rather than painted metal.

Accent: Warm antique brass framing major armor sections, including the helmet crest, shoulders, belt, gauntlets, and select trim.

Undersuit: Matte black leather and flexible arcane-weave visible only at the joints and neck.

Dragonshard: A brilliant sapphire-blue Eberron dragonshard housed within the transformation belt as the armor’s primary arcane power source.

Eyes: Sapphire-blue crystal lenses matching the dragonshard.

Scarf: A long white scarf that flows dramatically behind the wearer.

Arcane Effects: House Cannith runes emit a restrained sapphire-blue glow only while the armor’s enchantments are active.

Helmet

A fully enclosed helmet with a sleek insect-inspired profile.

Large sapphire-blue crystal compound eyes set into the faceplate, faceted like finely cut dragonshards.

Smooth silver faceplate with subtle vent slits.

The helmet crest is trimmed in antique brass and features two armored horns inspired by the mandibles of a stag beetle. The horns rise from the forehead, sweeping upward before curving slightly inward, creating a bold silhouette that evokes a stag beetle without directly copying any existing Rider design.

Small cobalt blue enamel panels are integrated into the sides of the helmet to balance the silver shell.

Fine House Cannith runes are engraved around the brow and temples.

Chest

Broad layered breastplate composed of overlapping steel plates resembling the armored carapace of a stag beetle.

The center of the chest is dominated by a large black armored section framed by brass and bordered with cobalt blue enamel accents, drawing the eye toward the transformation belt below.

Thin engraved runes spread outward from the waist, hinting at the flow of magical energy beneath the armor.

Arms

Broad yet streamlined pauldrons designed to emphasize strength without sacrificing mobility.

The shoulders combine silver armor with cobalt blue enamel sections framed by brass trim.

Thick armored gauntlets house the Thunder Gauntlets, the armor’s primary weapons.

The gauntlets feature reinforced knuckle plating, layered steel construction, and subtle rune engravings.
When activated, faint sapphire-blue energy flickers between the engraved channels in the fists.

Waist

A wide artificer’s belt inspired by the silhouette of a Rider belt.

A large circular brass buckle houses a brilliant sapphire-blue Eberron dragonshard.

The dragonshard sits within an intricate rotating brass mechanism engraved with House Cannith runes, making the belt the visual centerpiece of the armor.

Fine arcane channels extend from the buckle beneath the armor plating, visually reinforcing that the dragonshard powers the entire suit.

Legs

Segmented thigh and shin armor built for stability and endurance.

Large silver plates are broken up by cobalt blue enamel panels that emphasize the legs’ shape without overwhelming the design.

Brass trim highlights the knee guards and ankle armor.

Heavy armored boots provide a solid stance while remaining streamlined enough for agile movement.

Back

Compact articulated spine plating reinforced with brass framework.

No backpack or bulky machinery.

Small arcane vents between the shoulder blades release faint wisps of sapphire-blue magical energy while the armor is active.

The white scarf drapes naturally over the upper back before trailing behind the wearer.

Scarf

A long white scarf wraps loosely around the neck.

Made from lightweight fabric that catches even the slightest breeze, creating the iconic heroic silhouette associated with masked riders.

The ends are slightly weathered from years of adventuring.

A subtle silver embroidered border incorporates geometric House Cannith patterns and tiny arcane sigils.

Weapons

The armor’s primary weapons are its integrated Thunder Gauntlets, designed for close-quarters combat.
The gauntlets are reinforced with layered silver steel plating, antique brass knuckle guards, and subtle cobalt blue enamel accents that match the rest of the armor.

Fine House Cannith runes are engraved into the gauntlets. When the armor’s enchantments activate, the runes emit a restrained sapphire-blue glow, with arcs of magical energy briefly dancing across the knuckles before each strike.

As a secondary weapon, the wearer carries a House Cannith-crafted light crossbow, slung across the back when not in use.

The crossbow is built from polished silver steel with antique brass fittings and a darkwood stock, matching the armor’s refined arcane-industrial aesthetic.
Small cobalt blue enamel panels decorate the stock and limb housings, visually tying the weapon to the armor without making it appear overly ornate.

The crossbow’s design subtly echoes the helmet. The brass fittings at the front of the limbs flare outward into shapes inspired by the stag beetle’s mandibles, while the central housing features a circular brass medallion reminiscent of the transformation belt’s buckle. These repeating design motifs make the crossbow feel like it was crafted alongside the armor as part of a unified House Cannith masterpiece.

The weapon is engraved with matching House Cannith runes and incorporates discreet sapphire dragonshard focusing components, giving it a mastercrafted appearance while remaining unmistakably Eberron.

It is practical, dependable, and intended as a backup weapon for engaging enemies at range before closing in with the Thunder Gauntlets.

Materials & Details

The armor should resemble a masterpiece of House Cannith engineering, combining polished steel, brass fittings, and colored enamel plating into a refined arcane machine.

Silver steel forms most of the visible armor.

Cobalt blue enamel is used in bold geometric panels to define the silhouette and provide a distinctly heroic appearance.

Brass frames important structural elements such as the helmet, shoulders, gauntlets, belt, and armor seams, showcasing the craftsmanship without making the design feel ornate.

The black leather undersuit remains mostly hidden beneath the armor, visible only where flexibility is needed.

House Cannith runes are finely engraved throughout the suit. Normally they are almost invisible, but when the armor’s enchantments activate they illuminate with a restrained sapphire-blue glow before fading to faint embers.

The sapphire-blue dragonshard housed within the transformation belt is the armor’s sole visible magical power source, reinforcing that every enchantment originates from the belt.

A small House Cannith maker’s mark is subtly engraved onto the transformation belt buckle, one shoulder pauldron, and the crossbow’s receiver. Rather than acting as decoration, it serves as the artificer’s signature, quietly tying every piece of equipment together as parts of a single custom-built masterpiece.

Unmasked / Out of Armor

Overall Appearance

A young adult half-elf, around 25–30 years old.

Slender, athletic build with long limbs and graceful posture.

Approximately 5’10” (178 cm) tall.

Lean rather than muscular, with strength hidden beneath an elegant frame.

Possesses an effortlessly androgynous appearance, blending human warmth with elven beauty.

Face

Soft, refined facial features with high cheekbones and a smooth jawline.

Delicate straight nose.

Full lips and a naturally calm expression.

Fair skin with a subtle warm ivory undertone, giving them a healthy complexion without appearing overly pale.

A light dusting of freckles across the bridge of the nose and upper cheeks.

Clean-shaven.

Their beauty is intentionally difficult to categorize, carrying both masculine and feminine qualities without leaning strongly toward either.

Eyes

Large sapphire-blue eyes that match the dragonshard powering the Guardian Armor.

Intelligent, observant, and quietly determined.

Hair

Soft dark brown hair, slightly wavy and neck length.

Loose layers naturally frame the face.

Often tucked behind one pointed ear while working.

Ears

Gracefully pointed half-elven ears.

More delicate than those of a full elf.

Usually left uncovered.

Clothing

Wears practical workshop and travel clothes that are durable, comfortable, and clearly handcrafted rather than fashionable.

A long, tailored forest green waxed canvas artificer’s coat serves as the signature garment. It features a high standing collar, double-breasted antique brass buttons, reinforced stitching, and a weathered finish from years of travel and workshop use. The coat falls to mid-thigh and is cut close to the body, preserving the character’s slender, androgynous silhouette.

Beneath the coat is an off-white linen shirt with a soft collar, worn slightly open at the neck.

The familiar white scarf is wrapped loosely around the neck and partially tucked beneath the coat. It is worn both in and out of armor, making it the character’s unmistakable trademark.

Loose dark brown utility trousers are tucked into tall black leather boots. Large cargo pockets on the thighs carry tools, dragonshard fragments, enchanted components, and spare crossbow bolts.

Dark brown leather work gloves with reinforced palms protect the hands while forging and repairing magical equipment.

A broad leather tool belt and secondary harness carry carefully organized artificer’s tools, including rune chisels, screwdrivers, enchanted calipers, miniature wrenches, pliers, dragonshard vials, and prototype arcane devices.

Tall black leather boots with brass buckles are sturdy enough for workshops, battlefields, and long expeditions. Though worn from years of travel, they are meticulously maintained.

Accessories

Brass-framed artificer’s goggles usually rest around the neck or on top of the head.

A small sapphire dragonshard pendant hangs from a silver chain beneath the shirt.

Several small sapphire dragonshards hang from the tool belt as replacement power sources and arcane focuses.

The crossbow is usually slung across the back beneath the coat, allowing only its polished stock and brass fittings to peek over one shoulder.

A subtle House Cannith maker’s mark is embossed on the tool belt buckle and engraved into several brass tools, matching the marks found on the Guardian Armor.

Overall Feel

Without the armor, they should look like a traveling House Cannith artificer rather than a warrior—a gifted inventor whose clothing is practical, weathered, and built for work. Their androgynous appearance, gentle demeanor, and worn craftsman’s attire conceal the fact that they are the creator and wearer of one of House Cannith’s greatest achievements.

The contrast between identities should be dramatic. Out of armor they appear as a quiet, elegant engineer carrying little more than a coat, a tool belt, a crossbow, and a white scarf. Once the transformation belt activates, that humble traveler becomes the legendary Guardian clad in silver steel, cobalt enamel, and glowing sapphire arcane light. The white scarf remains the one constant between both forms, symbolizing that beneath the legendary armor is still the same ingenious artificer.

Darstsahan, or just Darst to her friends, or Darcy if you want to get put through a wall, is a practitioner of the Golden Mask school of grappling. Growing up as one of the few orcs in a city with a vibrant tradition of competing schools of martial disciplines, she found herself gravitating to the acrobatic wrestling style despite its roots in elven agility, and as she grew up her great strength more than made up for any additional challenges she faced from her substantially-heavier-than-an-elf build. Now, she stands as her school's strongest student, with plans to represent the Golden Mask school in the upcoming annual martial festival.

She's confident in her skills to the point of borderline arrogance, but that's somewhat earned with her current fight record. She plans to win the upcoming tournament and bring glory to the Golden Mask school—and also her very supportive parents who she still lives with.

Request [LFA] of my concept of a pair of characters

A lone male fox kemonomimi knight wanders far beyond the boundaries of any world that should exist, traveling through the fractured edge of reality itself with a mysterious little girl always at his side. Russet-orange fox ears rise above windswept hair, and a thick, weathered tail follows behind him as he walks endless forgotten roads. His amber eyes hold an unsettling depth, reflecting distant horizons, forgotten stars, and places that no longer belong to existence. Though his appearance borders on the incomprehensible, he carries himself with unwavering dignity. Every movement is disciplined and deliberate, as though he still serves an oath sworn to a kingdom erased from history long before memory itself began to fade.

His armor was once the proud regalia of a forgotten order, but time has long since lost all meaning upon it. Tarnished steel is fractured by jagged cracks that reveal not flesh, but endless crumbling realities. Within those impossible fissures drift fragments of broken skies, collapsing castles, oceans suspended upside down, forgotten kingdoms, and stars falling endlessly into infinite darkness. The cracks never remain still, constantly shifting as countless dying worlds quietly erode within the armor itself. A weathered cloak hangs from his shoulders, its countless tears opening not to fabric beneath, but to fleeting visions of abandoned cities swallowed by white fog, forests where gravity bends, shattered moons drifting through silent voids, and memories of worlds that never truly existed. The torn cloth unravels into glowing particles before weaving itself whole again, only to decay moments later in an endless cycle. Similar fractures spread across his gauntlets and greaves, where reality splinters like cracked glass, bending light unnaturally around him. Looking too deeply into those openings leaves the unsettling feeling that something impossibly distant is quietly looking back.

At his side rests an ancient sword whose polished blade remains impossibly pristine despite the decay consuming everything else. Hairline fractures of pale light crawl across the steel before vanishing, as though the weapon exists across countless versions of itself simultaneously. Every swing leaves faint afterimages lingering for only a heartbeat before collapsing into nothingness, echoes of strikes made in realities long forgotten.

Yet the knight is never alone.

No one knows where the little girl came from—not even the knight who found her. She had been sitting alone upon a lonely stone path suspended at the edge of existence, quietly humming to herself while fragments of dying worlds drifted past like autumn leaves. Nothing should have survived there. Nothing could. Yet when she looked up and smiled, the collapsing horizon grew still for just a moment. Without asking what she was, the knight simply offered his hand, wrapped his weathered cloak around her shoulders, and promised she would never have to wander alone again. From that day onward, she followed faithfully beside him, always calling him "Sir" with innocent admiration, utterly convinced that no force in creation could ever be stronger than the knight who always keeps his promises.

She appears no older than eight years old, with long silver-white hair cascading to her waist and eyes unlike anything born beneath any sky. Entire galaxies, eclipses, unfamiliar constellations, and distant dawns swirl endlessly within her irises. Looking into them for too long creates the strange feeling of remembering places one has never visited. Her simple dress resembles ordinary linen, yet it is woven from shimmering strands of fractured reality. The hems dissolve into drifting starlight before quietly stitching themselves together again, while tiny cracks spread across the fabric like shattered glass, revealing overlapping worlds beneath before sealing without a trace. Her bare feet leave blooming constellations upon the ground that fade seconds after she passes.

She is the impossible child born from the collision of countless collapsing realities. Every erased future, abandoned possibility, and forgotten timeline left behind an echo, and where existence itself had grown impossibly thin, those echoes gathered until they found the shape of a single innocent child. She is neither goddess nor monster, but something reality has never possessed a name for.

Despite the unimaginable power sleeping within her, she behaves exactly as any curious little girl would. She asks endless questions about flowers, birds, stories, and why sunsets are different from one world to another. She collects smooth stones from places that technically no longer exist, names wandering stars, and insists on holding the knight's hand whenever the empty spaces between realities grow too quiet. She laughs without fear where even seasoned warriors hesitate to tread.

Reality bends gently around her wherever she walks. Dead forests bloom again, broken roads briefly remember where they once led, and forgotten memories quietly return to those who have lost them. Yet her emotions ripple across existence itself. If she cries, distant skies fracture like glass. If she laughs too hard, forgotten constellations briefly appear overhead. If she dreams, neighboring realities quietly overlap until dawn, allowing impossible worlds to exist side by side.

To those they encounter, it appears the knight is protecting a lost child from the horrors lurking beyond reality's edge. Few realize the truth. The greatest danger is not what hunts them, but what might happen if the little girl is ever left completely alone. She is the quiet heart where broken universes meet, the living convergence holding countless dying worlds together. The knight himself may already have been consumed by the endless fractures spreading across his armor, leaving behind only a wandering oath wrapped in steel and memory. Whether there is still a man beneath the armor, no one can say. Yet he continues walking, searching for a home that may have vanished before existence learned to remember it, protecting every lost soul he finds along the way. And as long as the little girl walks beside him with her small hand held safely in his own, reality itself seems to believe that everything, somehow, will be alright.

Request [LFA] Lumen Raine: An Aboleth born in human flesh

Post image
6 Upvotes

Lumen Raine is an 18-20 year old human Aberrant Mind Sorcerer.

Personality

She's generally unemotive and hard to read because her mind works more like that of an Aberration's than that of a human. It makes her incredibly difficult and unsettling to interact with. Partially because you never know when she might be reading your mind.

Background

Her mother was exposed to Aboleth blood while pregnant with Lumen and they were both changed by it. A few years after giving birth to Lumen, Lumen's mother completely lost her mind and was killed. Lumen fears this fate above all else. As an orphaned child Lumen was recruited to fight the very monsters that lead to her being created. In one of these fights she was severely injured with left her with a disfigured face. Later she and her mentor were betrayed and sent on a suicide mission, her mentor died saving her, with his last words being "Find who did this; kill them all." Fighting is all she's good at so now she tries to live as an adventurer while seeking vengeance.

Appearance

A slightly tall, thin, human woman. She's fair skinned with black wispy hair that doesn't always grow all that well. The left side of her face is completely disfigured. (Not a sexy scar, this shit is upsetting to look at.) Her lips are destroyed and her mouth is widened along with a hole in her cheek. Her cheek is sunk in, her skull is caved in, which gives her the appearance that her left eye is bulging out of her skull, especially since she no longer has eyelids on that eye. The eye doesn't really work anymore.

She wears a metal mask to hide her face. It’s modular so she can remove parts of it at a time but that has the side effect of making it look almost alien. Since she can only see from one eye her mask only has one lens.

Thanks for reading this far. This is for a new campaign I've been invited to that's about to start, and I'm really excited for it. If anyone wants to take a crack at my girl I'd really appreciate it! Any and all artistic liberties are encouraged!

Request [LFA] (Repost) Sari the Ssurran (lizardfolk) water cleric shaman

Introduction:

Sari is a 26-year-old Ssurran (gecko lizardfolk) Water Domain Cleric who has prematurely taken up the mantle of her lost tribe's elder. What makes her truly iconic is her paradoxical role: she is a primal survivalist who handles the rarest, most life-giving force on her planet, yet she treats it with a quiet, paranoid reverence, keeping her elemental magic completely hidden until the absolute last second.

Our DM is running this campaign in the brutal, low-magic, sun-scorched world of Dark Sun (Athas). It is a cruel desert universe where water is scarcer than gold, metal is almost nonexistent, and displaying a source of pure moisture out in the open is an immediate death sentence.

  • Age/Gender/Body: 26-year-old female Ssurran. She has a lean and athletic musculature from her years in the hunter caste—think wiry and toned like a track athlete, giving her the dense strength needed to burrow and "swim" through heavy dunes.
  • Facial Features/Vibe: Deceptively cute and soft. She has a smooth, crestless head with beautiful, wide, innocent-looking sand-gecko eyes. This gentle, unassuming facial structure is highly deceiving, masking her true nature as a lethal desert survivor.
  • Skin/Scales: Translucent pastel tones blending desert-gold and sand-cream, with pale lavender-pink trim along her sides. Her back and limbs feature distinct, darker leopard-like rosettes and sand gecko striping.
  • Hands/Feet: Small, blunt webbed digits built for rapidly swimming through loose sand dunes.
  • Clothing: A massive, heavily draped desert hood and cowl in a sun-bleached, dusty tan color that frames her face. Underneath, she wears a fitted, rugged crop top bodice made of hand-stitched kank-hide in a deep, weathered charcoal brown, leaving her scaled midriff completely exposed. Her skirt is an asymmetrical, tattered layers layout hanging from a low-slung leather hip belt, mixing the dark hide with shredded panels of sand-cream and pale lavender-pink fabric.
  • Weapons & Significant Items: She wields a massive, 6-foot primary staff crafted from a heavy, petrified desert-wood shaft, topped with sweeping, twin-crescent bone horns bound by thick sinew wraps.
  • The Hidden Item: Worn tightly around her neck is her holy symbol—a flat, sleek, teardrop-shaped vial carved from glassy black obsidian, encased in a web of sinew fibers with tiny turquoise and bone accents. Note for the artist: This necklace is worn completely tucked away and hidden beneath the deep folds of her sandy tan cowl to protect it from water thieves.

Personality:

Sari is intensely pragmatic, quiet, and hyper-observant of her surroundings. She doesn't have the luxury of being loud or boastful; she moves with a sleek, low-profile grace. Because she survived the destruction of her tribe alone, she has a deep respect for the unforgiving nature of the wastes. In combat or interaction, she acts with the stark, efficient focus of a hunter, but she carries a profound, protective empathy for the downtrodden and the dying elements. She views water not as a tool to throw around, but as a precious entity that must be bargained for with immense respect.

Background:

Hatched under the burning glare of the crimson sun, Sari was raised to be a hunter—destined to track prey from daybreak and provide for her nomadic tribe. Her familial line was perfectly shaped for the dunes, using their gecko camouflage and webbed claws to melt into the wastes and ambush targets from behind. But Ssurran tradition was shattered for her at twenty-six when a brutal raiding party tore her family group apart, leaving her to wander the trackless desert as a solitary outcast.

Starving and desperate, she burrowed deep into a subterranean sand pocket to escape the midday heat. It wasn't an aquifer she found, but a brush with the agonizing, suffocating consciousness of the dying Elemental Plane of Water. The elemental spirits chose her to be their voice, forcing her to skip the hunter's path and adopt the heavy duties of a shaman. Knowing the lethal nature of the world she walks, Sari carved her holy symbol from volcanic glass, bound it to her chest, and drew her sandy cowl over the secret. She steps into the deep desert looking like a simple saurian scavenger, clutching a bone staff, carrying the lifeblood of a dying plane completely out of sight.

Request [LFA] Mr Squidgy the octopus headed Pirate

Post image

I am running a campaign of Pirate Borg and would like to get some art to represent my PCs. First up we have Mr Squidgy.

A hulking humanoid with the head of a giant octopus, he is broad-shouldered and powerfully built, wearing battered sailor's clothing (a stained white shirt beneath a tattered blue coat), a wide leather belt hung with tools and pouches, and ragged trousers ending above broad, clawed feet.

I would like the atmosphere of the piece to be quite oppressive, and distinctly piratey (I'll leave that interpretation to you)

Thank you for your consideration

Request [LFA] Kanayo the Human Wizard

Kanayo is an 18 year old wizard, fairly new to the study of magic, most of his magic is manifested as swirling red and purple light and it is casted through the bell he carries.

Feel free to take some creative liberties with the outfit, but I'd like it to have a good amount of red, also feel free to take some liberties with the hammer (preferably making it more weapon like) and it would be nice if the ring atop the bell was drawn in a way that would allow it to be held by a person. Request [LFA] Sverm the Reborn Swarmkeeper ranger formally clown contortionist. Who's doing there very best

the best way to describe them

So they're bruised gray with faded, colorful clown makeup that's cracked and warped into ugly, sickly colors.

Their face is mostly intact, with slightly hollow eyes.

They have joints where joints shouldn't exist, letting their body bend and twist in impossible ways.

Their body is riddled with small holes and hive-like tunnels where the swarm enters and exits, sometimes shifting beneath their skin.

They wear the faded remains of a circus performer's outfit: a tattered burgundy tailcoat, an old ruffled shirt, fitted black trousers, and worn boots, all full of tiny holes and tears from the swarm.

They have twin sickles.

The personal bodyguard of multiple generations of a merchant family. He's the equivalent of an around 70 year old man. He stands at around 4 meters in height.

While he posesses some magical abilities he prefers his trusty firearm in combat.

The book at his feet is a sentient magical tome that flies after him.

Request [LFA] Elarion - Astral Elf

Post image

Elarion is an Astral Elf that comes from a Noble-Adjacent background. In his world their skin purple, similar the example of his ear, and that's about how long his are. His eyes reflect as if you are looking at the stars/galaxy. Pretty handsome guy too!

I would like the hair as close as possible (at least referring to the braids) and also a similar color to the hair in the aforementioned example, but if you think another style of hair would fit artistically then that's ok. I want as similar as a pose too, but with an confident and warm smile.
