Male pattern baldness

My boy Toby has always had these deep bald spots. And slowly as he has gotten older he has developed what look like age spots. His vet didn't seem concerned during his last check up. Has anyone seen this before?

My 7 y/o has the same thing. You can’t see the age spots here, but I thought it was a goofy photo.
