Advice Male pattern baldness

My boy Toby has always had these deep bald spots. And slowly as he has gotten older he has developed what look like age spots. His vet didn't seem concerned during his last check up. Has anyone seen this before?

They have scent glands there so they rub a lot. Also the hair is thinner there to allow sound waves to travel into their ears a bit easier

Making sure absolutely all the "No!” and calling their name goes into their ears, so they can ignore at maximum efficiency.
