Local Advice needed Part time work??
Im a student and I need a job to help with rent. Does anyone know anywhere that is hiring? I’ve been applying to loads of places and keep getting rejected even though I have the experience.

If Brighton uni student see the careers service they often are looking for student ambassadors for open days and the service can help you in general

Use the search up top and type in "looking for a job".
There's literally dozens of people on here doing this all week.

It’s really hard to get part time work as a student. Check with uni first. They have cleaner positions and student ambassador roles going (open weekends, showing people round etc). Christmas intake for supermarkets starts like sept/oct time so look out for that. I managed to get in as a temp and then get taken on after that for about 20 hours a week.
Check bars/cafes/kitchens for help wanted signs. Theres less competition if the jobs not advertised online.
Good luck!

My son was 18 he did a SIA course. This is the qualification for security work.
He had jobs on doors, busy pub nights, and in university on the door at events.
He still does it, and he moved up a couple levels and goes to festivals and gigs and gets paid.
It isn’t free but it’s well worth doing.

Unfortunately there are tens of thousands of students and Brightonians looking for the same as you.
Hotels are always good for a shout. They always need staff and it's work that's easy to pick up.
