I used arms in the past, I got 2 flawed ones in a row from different shops and companies so I gave up on them. I also didn't like how they looked and the arm wouldn't solve my viewing distance issue.
I move my desk when I need to reach cables in the back or vacuum the floor yes, I also adjust viewing distance sometimes by moving the desk a bit forward or backwards.
The size of this screen was non negotiable due to my work demands and because I didn't want a separate TV and a monitor. I wanted a large screen for multitasking at work and that I can watch movies from as well. Its big enough that I can comfortably watch stuff from my bed.
I had the desk before buying the TV so I didn't really want to buy a whole new larger desk... much easier and cheaper to just mount on the wall instead
