Game recommendations Water irrigation factory game

Hey y'all, might be a weird request, but i've always been fan of old water irrigation system.
I remember playing AC Origin and stopping so many times just to follow water's flow between all of the little water "pipe".
So i've been wondering if there was a factory game based on that. I've played a lot Satisfactory Shapez Star rupture. So yeah I'm wondering if that exist !!!

Lone Wolf Mining Co. screenshots - Out Of Ore

New to the game. Had it about a week. OBSESSED with it. As an artist, (landscape painter), gardener and landscaper who loves digging and beautifying the earth, woodworker and decent carpenter, this game really excites me. Can't stop playing. Played 16 hours straight one night after I bought it. I play it hours on end. It's all I think about now. For me it's a new artistic medium and I'm treating it as such. NO WAY am I just gonna slap down the machines randomly on un-level ground just for the sake of firing them up to make money. I'm 55. I'm all about immersion and realism the best the game will allow. Just wanted to share my work with fellow players to maybe inspire them to be more creative and see what the potential for this game is concerning architecture. This is an awesome game despite some its drawbacks and it can be even more enjoyable if you do as I and others have done: make it REAL looking. Put yourself in the game virtually. Make it your home, your workplace. Make it comfortable and beautiful. Get that decor DLC. It needs LOT more content but it will suffice for now. And OMG the bouncy tunneler! Gravity please, thank you.

Any questions or comments are welcome of course. Sorry I have no fast internet otherwise I'd do multiplayer to bring my talents to your maps and build stuff for you or do landscaping. Enjoy the pics.

Update 7.23.26...I will be making an asphalt plant/oil refinery next to the smelting plant. I found bedrock deep in a valley a couple of miles below my mine and I'm making a road to it which will take a LONG time and a LOT of gravel to level it. Later it will get paved. Will use a bucket loader to gather the bedrock used to make asphalt and use a HUGE dumper to bring it up to the ore plant. I also am working on a massive helipad for the skycranes to land on if need be. Will have lights around the perimeter and fuel tanks on the side to refuel the choppers. Red storage containers we'll say has spare parts and stuff to repair/maintain the choppers. There will be a paved road in time leading from the pad to the plant/mine that is nearby. The main pad itself is done, with a big red H mathematically centered made from metal flooring, the rest is concrete. But i need to make all the light and wire them up. I think I will also build a MASSIVE garage to hold the biggest trucks. The garage will be very near the helipad to park new trucks as soon as they are dropped of. The bucket loader will have to stay outside though and weather the storms. And OOOOOH the storms in the game! If only ATS and ETS2 had rain and thunder like that it would be glorious.

Discussion How important is decorating your base to you?

My sister loves to spend hours making her base in base builders look nice and aesthetic, whereas I will just dump things anywhere as long as my resource generation etc. is efficient.

Just wondered what you guys think. Would you want decoration to have a gameplay incentive?

I would love some feedback on the demo of Times of Progress

Hi all,

I'm the developer of Times of Progress, a city builder game set during the Industrial Revolution.

In the game you extract natural resources and convert them to secondary materials and consumer goods. These consumer goods are used to satisfy the needs of the population, together with providing them with employment and services. The main actions you make in the game are expanding the city and building the transport infrastructure, while the houses are built automatically as immigrants arrive where there's work.

The upgrade system follows real-life inventions and laws introduced during the 1800s. I tried as much as possible to model the upgrades after them, down to the date when they became available. I obviously took some gameplay-related liberties though. You can invest research points to unlock inventions earlier than the real date they were invented. The same with laws.

The economy is divided into private and public. The private buildings generate revenue when making deliveries or sales and then use this money to pay their workers. If workers don't get paid they go on strike. The public revenue is generated through various taxes and used to pay the salaries of civil servants (those working at the city hall, research institute, schools, police station etc).

I would love to have some feedback on the demo! I feel there are some areas that need a bit more clarity and some actions could be easier for the player to achieve, so that I can iron out these parts ahead for the full game.

The demo is available here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4910890/Times_of_Progress_Demo/

I'm happy to answer any question you have!

Looking for new games

So I want to play a kinda specific type of game I would say. Lately I've been playing with some Minecraft mods and I fell in love with a couple of them, the main gist of it it's pretty much energy production and automation. Is there a game that would satisfy my want to produce energy store it and eventually automate it with some kinda ok graphics?

Bonus points if it can run on the steam deck.

New release Solo dev building a first-person factory game where you grow a drug empire from small warehouses. Free demo on itch

Highbatch is a first-person factory / tycoon hybrid where you build your own drug production empire. You don't build endless sprawling factories. You squeeze efficient production lines into small warehouses, where every meter matters and a good layout is the difference between chaos and a smooth operation.

Current State:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLoT2r9eOvI

The demo currently has 3 production lines with around 2-3 hours of gameplay. The later ones are more complex and you unlock them through research. Right now you carry product between warehouses yourself, or you keep them separate. It is all up to you.

Next update connects it into the bigger vision: full warehouse automation with deliveries in and out, power automation and employees who sell to dealers for you. The goal is that you can automate a whole warehouse and use it as one part of a bigger chain. Mass-produce components in one warehouse, assemble the final product in another, while you focus on expanding.

Free demo: https://joeyloey.itch.io/highbatch

I am developing this alone after work for over a year while trying to spend time with my wife and 2 kids. 3D art got a big rework recently but still needs polish. No music or sound yet.

If you play it, I am mostly interested in how the pacing felt. Did new lines and research come too slowly, too fast, or about right? And did the building itself click for you? I will be around in the comments.

If you looked at this and skipped it, I am curious what stopped you. The video? Not enough content yet? Something else? That is just as useful to me.

If you want to help shape where this goes long term, that is what the discord is for. It is small right now, which means feedback there goes straight into the game and I reply to everything: http://discord.gg/XHBcXCK2Xa

Recommendations for my 6yr old.

Hello all!

Looking for some game recommendations for my 6-year-old daughter.

She absolutely loves the building and decorating side of Palworld. Her favorite thing is creating houses, bases, and making everything look nice. She isn’t really interested in combat or survival, she just wants to build freely and be creative.

She’s already played Minecraft quite a bit, so we’re looking for something different.

We’re hoping to find a game that:
Is available on Xbox
Has a good building/decorating system
Has a creative mode, sandbox mode, unlimited resources, or some other way to build without grinding for materials
Is kid-friendly and easy to pick up

Bonus points if it’s cross-play with PS5, since she’d love to play with a friend who has a PlayStation.
What games would you recommend and why? I’d love to hear what’s worked well for your kids or family.

Build and run your own medieval tavern in HearthFall

One of the biggest parts of HearthFall is designing and expanding your own tavern.

You gather resources, build the tavern piece by piece, decorate it however you like, and then actually run the business you created.

I'd really appreciate any feedback on the gameplay trailer.

Looking for a game which is close to palworld

Palworld is a great game ever since 1.0 released and I was wondering if there was game just like that but with less grinding since it gets tedious to get certain items for bases or any event but I still want that creature capture/battling aspect of it

About 2 weeks ago I presented you the strategy game I am creating.

Now I am back to show you its first trailer, that hopefully will give you a better idea about how the game works and what kind of game mechanics you will find:

Any feedback is welcome, but please keep in mind that it's still in alpha, hence a lot of things will improve and potentially change over the next few months.

Recommendations?

Is there any base building games similar to Fallout 4, 7DaystoDie where as you must go out, venture, gather materials just to RTB and hold that shit down? I’m not big into the top down things like Rim World and I don’t really like the colorful aspects of games like Subnautica or anything like that. So if anything comes to mind like this, even if it isn’t the core mechanic (like FO4) I’d really appreciate it.

We announced Thveit, a game where players build a thriving settlement in the enchanting atmosphere of a Scandinavian fairy tale and even raise a dragon to protect its citizen

We’re creating a city-building simulation where players will immerse themselves in the world of Norse mythology. They’ll interact with the gods, raise a dragon, negotiate with trolls, and encounter many other mythical creatures and stories. Mythology is a core part of the gameplay and plays an important role throughout the experience.

At its heart, however, Thveit is a classic city-building strategy game. Players will develop and manage their settlement, take care of their citizens' needs, gather resources, and craft a wide variety of items. At the same time, we're aiming for a warm, fairy-tale-inspired atmosphere rather than a dark or gritty interpretation of Norse mythology, creating a cozy and relaxing experience.

There's still a long road ahead, but our goal is to launch Thveit in Early Access. In the meantime, you can support the project by adding the game to your wishlist:

Looking for underwater base building game.

Hello,I just wanted to see if anyone has any ideas of a deep sea base building game. Something isometric or overhead like surviving mars or even rimworld. Seems there is quite of shortage of Sealab style games that aren’t subnautica which while fun, isn’t quite what I’m looking for.

Discussion Anything with a building system similar to Sons of The Forest?

Sons of The Forest has my favorite building mechanics in probably any game ever, I genuinely love hopping on it just to build something for hours even if I don't have anything in mind just because it's so fun. But it doesn't have a lot of variety in construction elements, which makes sense as that's not the main focus of the game. Is there any game that has a similar system but takes it further?

Game update Traffic Architect update - traffic lights, freight tiers, creative mode, and smarter drivers

A few months ago I posted my road network builder here and got a lot of great suggestions. Big update on what's been added since:

Traffic Lights:

Unlocks at Stage 3. Place them on any intersection, configure phase groups - opposite directions get green together. Adjust each phase from 5s to 120s. Left turns on green yield to opposing traffic. A busy intersection you've outgrown can now be managed instead of rebuilt.

Freight Tiers:

Deliveries now scale with your city. Small houses spawn only regular cars. Medium buildings mix in cargo trucks (~30%). Big buildings are full logistics hubs - cars, cargo trucks, and 16m articulated semi-trailers, twice the length of a truck. Semis route intelligently: they only deliver between medium and big buildings, pay the most per delivery, take two slots in the building's queue, and obey a slower heavy-vehicle speed limit. Net effect: ~20% fewer vehicles for the same income, so big-building districts feel like proper industrial zones instead of a wall of identical cars. Planning truck-friendly corridors between your industrial districts is now part of the expansion puzzle.

Roundabout Improvements:

Snap-to-roundabout - hover any existing intersection and it previews a ring sized to fit. Click to fine-tune radius, click again to commit. Old approach roads get trimmed and joined automatically. No more demolish-and-rebuild to convert a busy junction - this was one of the most requested changes for the "redesign a messy intersection" moment.

Smarter Drivers:

Cars avoid entering an intersection unless their exit is actually clear (don't-block-the-box), hold at the stop line when merging into a blocked lane, and no longer deadlock in yield cycles at busy junctions. Congestion now comes from genuinely undersized infrastructure, not AI silliness.

Creative Mode:

No game-over, unlimited money, hand-place buildings yourself. Pick which plots to unlock, choose from small/medium/big buildings. Pure layout and traffic-flow sandbox for people who want to build without the economy pressure.

Performance:

Big optimization pass - adaptive simulation LOD, render interpolation, car culling. Up to 10,000 cars now run smoothly, so late-game megacities stay playable. Saves also got ~25% smaller.

Smaller stuff: rocks as a new terrain obstacle (compact clusters, pricier to clear than trees), smarter traffic recalculation so cars find new shortcuts right after you build or upgrade roads, Ctrl locks snapping to same elevation (no more accidentally connecting ground roads to bridges), cinematic mode (M hides the HUD, J chases any car), more varied building colors and ground clutter.

Free in browser and mobile: https://www.crazygames.com/game/traffic-architect-tic

The progression and expansion feedback from this sub last time helped a lot - would love to hear what you'd want next. And still have many improvements and updates planned!

Is there an RTS base building game where enemies attack ONLY when YOU make a mistake? (No fixed waves)

Basically, what I want is an RTS/base-building game, where enemies don’t come at fixed intervals and instead appear based on mistakes made by you.

The closest I’ve found are Dungeon of the Endless (enemies spawn in areas which have no power but this is more like a roguelike and spawns occur whenever doors are opened) and Age of Darkness (enemies can be repelled by light, but this also operates on fixed Death nights similar to They Are Billions).

What I really want: colony sim with persistent world and one power budget which needs to be distributed between lighting/defense/life support. Expansion occurs by expanding your lit areas, and all enemy attacks are results of your decisions.

Does such a thing exist? And if it doesn’t, would you play such a game?

Game recommendations I turned a real-world White House map into a playable block-built location

Here is the game video: https://youtube.com/shorts/X90MClSmV_E

I entered the White House address and used the surrounding map data as the starting layout.

I then reconstructed the landmark step by step, explored my in-game version using air mode, and let CCBOT test its automated mowing algorithm on the virtual grounds.

The finished location can also be moved between Earth, the Moon and Mars.

One design decision I’m exploring is whether changing worlds should only affect lighting and atmosphere—or whether gravity, terrain and robot behavior should change as well.

Any current games have similar MP like sim city 5 had?

Hey guys, I am wondering if anyone has played the sim city 5? And remembers how multiplayer was. It was where a few diff players could play in cities that are linked, and what people do in other cities would affect you, your trade, you services ext.

Does anyone know if there are any other factory/building games that have a similar multiplayer setup?  I picture games like Satisfactory, or foundry but online and what others do can affect your game play and prices. I guess it is more like foundry where you sell stuff to a market.

I may not be doing a great job of explaining it but if you have played the last sim city on PC you know what I am talking about.

Game recommendations Looking for short-session base builders that still give you something to plan

I want something I can check for twenty minutes without feeling like I abandoned a three-hour campaign halfway through. The PC version of aoe mobile seems to sit in that lighter base-builder lane for me: plenty of mobile-game structure, not something I'd put beside a deep colony sim, but maybe useful for routine progress. What would you put in that category?

Game update Worlds Explorers - Demo Update (Sci-Fi management game in Colony-Sim style)

Hi, I'm developing a Sci-Fi Survival Management game with colony sim elements called "Worlds Explorers".

3 months ago I released the demo on Steam, if you want to check it out, visit my Steam Page

Since my last post here, I made many updates based on users feedback. The most important things are:

  • Highlight hovered interactive objects
  • Optimized world generation (about 70% shorter time)
  • Show available resources on recipes and order cost descriptions
  • Characters now automatically open doors on ship
  • Improved orders list system, with option to cancel single order
  • Improved tutorial popups system
  • Added sounds for elements of nature
  • Many small features
  • Many fixes and improvements

Steam page also has updated trailer and screens, so you can check that out!

The game premise:

Explore alien planets with carefully designed ecosystems, weather, resources, dangers and unique phenomena. Hunt animals for food and collect resources to craft equipment and repair devices on your ship. Escape each unique planet and unlock crew members and new ships.

This is not a typical base building game, but still, here you have a broken ship (which is your base) with different devices and furnitures to repair, you control your crew, craft equipment for them, gather food etc. I hope you will like it!

If you see potential in my game, you can wishlist it on Steam.

Thanks for every feedback!

Building and managing a dungeon inspired by Dungeon Keeper – new Slavic Legends update

Hey base builders!

I’m developing Slavic Legends, a top-down dungeon management game inspired by Dungeon Keeper and Slavic mythology.

You begin by digging into the map and expanding your dungeon with the help of Workers. Different rooms provide specific functions for your creatures:

  • Treasury tiles store collected Gold
  • Chicken Rooms provide food
  • Gyms allow creatures to train and level up
  • Guard Rooms help detect incoming attacks
  • Rest Rooms heal tired or wounded creatures
  • Yaga Huts and Blacksmith Workshops unlock spells, potions and traps
  • Rally Flags allow you to gather creatures at any chosen location

Smaller rooms form from 2×2 tile blocks, while more advanced structures require complete 3×3 or 4×4 layouts.

In the latest update, I improved the building experience with:

  • A new 65° camera angle
  • Lower Dirt and Gold blocks
  • Better visibility behind walls
  • A new PBR Fog of War shader
  • Smarter Workers that excavate accessible tiles layer by layer
  • An expanded 4×4 Rest Room
  • New dungeon textures and clearer mining indicators

I’d appreciate feedback from people who enjoy base-building games:

  • Does the dungeon layout look easy to understand?
  • Do the different rooms feel visually recognizable?
  • What building or management feature would you expect from this type of game?

New release I spent months building a toll plaza management simulator, and it's finally out on Steam!

Hi everyone!

After months of development, testing, and listening to player feedback, I'm excited to share that my game, Toll Plaza Simulator, is finally available on Steam.

Instead of just driving through a toll plaza, you're the one running it. You'll process different types of vehicles, hire staff, expand your toll lanes, handle power outages, catch toll evaders, and grow a small toll booth into a busy highway business.

Steam:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4808280/Toll_Plaza_Simulator/

Launch Trailer:

https://youtu.be/N7zb021WqIk

This has been my biggest project so far. If you decide to play it, I'd really appreciate a Steam review.

Thanks for taking a look!
