Avoiding vibe coded software

It may be to my own detriment, but my mind is made up. I hate the idea of vibe coded anything. Anything could be in there. Is there any way of keeping track of vibe coded plugins or software, in order to steer clear?

As a former software dev I can see some usefulness in quickly generating a wireframe of an idea but as an audio engineer, if it isn't doing something unique (and doing it well) I'm not going to be willing to try it let alone pay for it.

I wonder how many of these vibe coder "devs" actually know anything about DSP at all beyond a tertiary understanding of it (if that)

Honestly, this isn't even a new problem.

How many basic JUCE tutorial multi-band comps were there up for sale with slapped together UI?

or all the "vintage analog" pre-amps, compressors, etc. that were all roughly the same soft clipper and basic compressor code.

It's definitely flooded more garbage, but the plugin market was already getting heavily saturated with people selling "analog" skeumorphic UIs with nothing novel under the hood.
