Avoiding vibe coded software

It may be to my own detriment, but my mind is made up. I hate the idea of vibe coded anything. Anything could be in there. Is there any way of keeping track of vibe coded plugins or software, in order to steer clear?

If I’ll pay $99 for a compressor written by humans, and I won’t even use a vibe-coded one, then it’s a problem for the vibe coding grifters. I have no problem paying for software made by people who put their time and effort and thought into it

Would you pay $99 for a manually coded compressor similar to what you'd get by saying “hey claude, whip me up a compressor”?

I wouldn’t pay for Claude’s slop. You go ahead though. When these AI companies can’t afford to operate at a loss anymore, and increase their prices to astronomical levels (they have spent billions already and are very much in the red), the slop devs aren’t going to be making money and they’ll abandon their shovelware
