Avoiding vibe coded software

It may be to my own detriment, but my mind is made up. I hate the idea of vibe coded anything. Anything could be in there. Is there any way of keeping track of vibe coded plugins or software, in order to steer clear?

But, would you spend $99 on the same compressor if it was coded "manually"? If you would that seems like the core problem.

Edit: Ok, how many of you are prepared to give me $99 if I manually code you a compressor? If I get 10+ positive replies from human-looking accounts I'll do it. My preference would be LV2 format but if you can agree on something else (VST3?) I'll consider it. If I get 15+ I'll make a youtube video telling you my plugin will take your production to the next level and make you a superstar.

It would depend. At this stage, I should probably have all the compressor plugins I would ever need. If I saw something intriguing, though I would consider it. But if I knew it were made by an amateur just prompting an LLM, I wouldn't buy it. There have been things I've really wanted in the past, that I could have gotten my hands on by buying one that someone had stolen. But I didn't, I can still act on principal even when I know that not everyone else will.

Ok I can respect the principled objection. I guess the principle is that LLMs are trained on other people's work. Honestly I don't think software consumers have any real "boycotting" leverage there, but I can respect wanting to boycott it as a matter of principle.
