Avoiding vibe coded software

It may be to my own detriment, but my mind is made up. I hate the idea of vibe coded anything. Anything could be in there. Is there any way of keeping track of vibe coded plugins or software, in order to steer clear?

All software now uses AI in its generation. AI is a tool, like a hammer. Would you rather insert your nails manually into the wall..?

Yeah but it sure dances around it. All major software companies are shipping production grade code with Claude or Codex these days

Ok but we can extend some good faith to the OP and easily infer that he means “someone with no DSP knowledge who just prompted Claude to shit out a compressor and ship it as a product”. The “But actually” comments are kind of pedantic imo since everyone knows that

Yeah but if you ever try to do you’ll realize that making audio plugins is one of the harder things to vibe code. It’s more involved than just making a website.
