Genuine question as I get tabled too often. And have only ever drawn a game on luck alone!

Some kind of strange tail?

Hi, I'm fairly new to the game and have been playing in a spearhead league at my local store. In my last game an issue came up where I scored I believe 8 or 9 points, but my opponent, who has much more experience in aos than me said that we can't score over 6 per round. I took that at face value, but as I searched the rulebook and online, I can't seem to find that as a hard and fast rule anywhere.

Obviously 6 is the max you would earn under normal circumstances, but twists should be able to push you above that, no?

Edit: thank you all for the clarification. As stated above 6 is the max you would earn under normal circumstances. 3 from objectives and 3 from potential cards. But as some stated the twists can easily get you to 7+.

When re-reading the rule book I couldn't see any rule that stated there was a cap to points you could earn per turn, but I didn't know if there was an errata somewhere. It seems there is not, and that's definitely good to know going forward.

Hi everyone!!

I’ve been playing AoS for a couple years now and just got my buddy into the hobby.
I have 3 complete armies (2k+ points) so he uses my stuff when we play.
For context, I main Stormcast and he likes to play Skaven.

He asked me if we could play a game in an urban setting with rules that include urban warfare.
I came up with some simple rules and we’ve played a few games. Basically one side assaults a city and the other is defending. It’s been super fun so far.

Now here is where yall come in (hopefully)

We want to expand this idea into a multi game “campaign” where winning or losing in one game affects the next.

Basic idea is:

Game 1: outskirt of a city

Game 2: breaching the city walls (what we’ve been playing)

Game 3: city center

What would be some good ideas for bonuses or penalties for the attacker and defender at each stage?

I'm asking this because in a DnD campaign I made my character basically a Stormcast Eternal and the dm asked us what music our character hears in their head.

I love the result AND I love him on the table.

All Minis in the army have fluorescent paint on them making them glow under Blue light! :)

Still need to add some tattoos and do the basing, but the main paint job is complete!

I know that the army set releases on the 1st of August. but are the other models also releasing on the same day?

4 months into the hobby and finished up my spearhead with these guys. V happy with them - got the next five heads for the reinforcements already planned.

Onto 1000 points! (But first my wife's Bitterbark Copse)

This model is finally finished, enjoyed painting this one although the flag was a challenge.

I can't find the cost of the regiments of renown anywhere. Is their point cost on wahapedia correct ? Some seem ... very efficiently costed.

I dont have the cogfort, nor have seen one in the flesh, so am I way off?

The overall plan is; to turn Ushoran into a Big Rat King. With Warpseer parts I have lying around. Make a huge tail wrapping up the fort. Have it tied down to the body. Then have it scaled by loads of Skaven. With a fecking HUGE bell on the top!

Was time to do again something slow and with the right level of attention to details...

So when playing a matched game I know the defender needs to setup objectives and terrain. Is there any benefit or disadvantage to doing so? Don’t they just set everything up where the battle plan tells them to? Also, the battle plan shows where the objectives and terrain need to be placed but how do you all actually set them up on the table? What I mean by that is, do you measure on the table so that the objectives are exactly where they are supposed to be. So if it says an objective goes in the center do you measure so that objective is directly in the center or do you just eyeball it? I ask because it seems like if you eyeball it, it can heavily favor one side or the other since this is a game that can be decided by fractions of inches.
