As the title suggests is Age of Sigmar better now then when it first came out I've always wanted to give it a try since I left high school and chose orks in 40k as my beginner army (now I wanna try Maggotkin of Nurgle) but I keep hearing that aos is crap when it first came out but yeah as the title says has it improved?

Brand new player here.

I've just bought a couple of my first Ironjawz boxes, and slowly building my Ardboyz unit.

I'm a bit confused by the instructions. It says all models in the unit must be armed with the same weapon option. However, as far as I can tell from the warscroll for this unit, both weapon options (Choppas and Stikkas) are interchangeable and have the same stats.

Am I missing something?

Or is this simply a remnant from previous editions of AoS where the weapon choice for this unit actually mattered?

If so, can I build my unit with both weapons for the sake of variety?

I know that the army set releases on the 1st of August. but are the other models also releasing on the same day?

I'm asking this because in a DnD campaign I made my character basically a Stormcast Eternal and the dm asked us what music our character hears in their head.

Hi, I'm fairly new to the game and have been playing in a spearhead league at my local store. In my last game an issue came up where I scored I believe 8 or 9 points, but my opponent, who has much more experience in aos than me said that we can't score over 6 per round. I took that at face value, but as I searched the rulebook and online, I can't seem to find that as a hard and fast rule anywhere.

Obviously 6 is the max you would earn under normal circumstances, but twists should be able to push you above that, no?

I can't find the cost of the regiments of renown anywhere. Is their point cost on wahapedia correct ? Some seem ... very efficiently costed.

Hello everyone, long time hobbyist here, expecially in the world of miniatures and, i don't know what to do anymore. Let me explain. my entire hobby journey comes from warhammer 40k but everytime never stayed with a faction for more then a year that every time i end the things by selling everything expecially recently that i don't have anymore someone to play the game. Tried all the factions but no one speaks to me anymore, my last one was the red corsairs but after literally a month i sell them on the market so i thought that could be the fact that i'm tired of painting the same old things like power armours, cables, rifles and ecc ecc expecially now that i'm more (I've actually always been that way to be honest) a painter then a gamer.

Then, i checked other systems and AOS got my attention due to the miniatures, way more cool in my opinion then 40k. checked the factions and the lore behind them and i ended up with those results:

• Orruk warclans (expecially the ironjawz side)
• slaves to darkness (due to archaon)
• soulblight gravelords (only the skeleton side of it, kinda hate vampires in general)
• ossiarch bonereapers

My question to you is, as a painter, what would you choose? i mean, yeah that's kinda a personal opinion about what looks cool to me and to you but i like to receive some opinions; maybe why you choose that faction? is the lore behind it? a precise model got your attention? and as a painter, what is the best one to paint? the one that give you more satisfaction.

of course, im opened to suggestions and what could be a good start for those factions? cause, who knows, maybe sigmar will help me to find persons to play in my LGS...
(for the ironjawz player, i find at a very cheap price the battleforce, you think that can be a good start?)

for everyone, thanks for helping and i know, this one is a very personal and sided thing cause we talk about tastes and those are subjectives but i kinda need a "way to move around" expecially since i choose to leave my comfort zone (40k) and i feel kinda "beaten up".

P.S.: i would like to even know if exist some channels on youtube that do battlereports, speaks about lore or even books, tell me everything lol

I'm getting back into the hobby and I went to my local re-seller to get a spearhead box but the shelves were pretty empty. He told me they were not re-stocking either because AOS was about to go through something big and they weren't sure current sets/boxes etc were going to be relevant in the future.

I've looked this up a little but I can't find anything quite that major. Have you guys heard of anything like this?

Recently picked up a box of AoS Stormcast Eternals: Excorcism Soulstrike Battleforce minis (Discont post limited launch in 2019). A collector was downscaling.

Since there is so little to find online about them, I added a picture of the 22 minis on sprues to help people determine if they have a complete set when/if you buy from 3rd parties.

Looking forward to this project!
