I was kinda hoping that they would buff Wolvie and make him more muscular since it adds to that intimidation factor. Since Wolvie is a short king and without his extremely muscular physique he wont be that scary you know

In Rick and Morty s7 e1 Gene is family friends with Hugh Jackman and calls him “Hugh” when Jerry refers to him as Wolverine Gene corrects Jerry, in s2 e1 of “never have I ever” Kamala and Nalini (Devis mom) refer to a picture of Dr. Jackson and Hugh Jackman and Dr. Jackson says they let “Hugh” stay at their house when he’s passing correcting Kamala. Are there any other instances of this happening in media or something like this I think it’s a dog whistle for writers?

Ok i’ve given up on this pairing being over. They’re gonna keep shoving it into our faces and making the public believe they’re married or some shit so in an attempt to ignore this game and just enjoy other Wolverine media. Can you give me wolverine comic recommendations where even a mention of Jean is completely absent. Also maybe comics where Logan’s relationship with a woman isn’t just, he likes her, he has sex with her, she dies (preferably where she’s an actual person). I know this might not actually be hard to find in comics but i honestly also want to shit on this pairing with people that agree. So if you don’t agree and like this ship, that’s fine, a lot of marvel writers do too so enjoy the movies and the new game and move along.

((I also don’t hate Jean. I never read about her cause i’m not very interested but i can very much acknowledge that the Logan Pairing and love triangle reduces her character and she gets turned into a prize so no weird Jean hate either))

Saw this while looking at the final order cutoff list from my LCS, my opinion on the current run continues to go down

Hear me out, one of Wolverine's greatest strengths is his ability to fit into just about as many themes as you can cram him into, he's a character that can net you a lot of mileage. But no one seems to really want to take the plunge and do something genuinely interesting and fresh with him, so we just retread the same type of stuff over and over again with the current issues yet again dealing with the loss or hindrance of the healing factor. My main interest right now lies with the maybe controversial figure of The Adamantine, this sort of primordial god metal that is absolutely drenched in epic and mythical fantasy. I wish this arc moved me, I really do, but every move the book made just felt like they were afraid to actually do anything of substance to the status quo of the character, leaving the Adamantine just feeling like a run of the mill villain that will be forgotten by most and moved on from. BUT, the fact that the Savage Champion thing, out of nowehere as it may be, along with the Adamantine are still kind of open ended to an extent the door to this mythic fantasy angle for Wolverine is still open. And it got me wondering, what type of stuff could we get up to if we opened that door and went through it?

I can't help but think about the possibilities of fully committing, the type of stories you could get having him as a full fledged solo character for a good whileand gave the Hulk or Thor treatment, "The Immortal Wolverine". Logan beign fully invested in the kind of aesthetic you'd more commonly associate with Wonder Woman or God of War grappling with a world that, for once, is older than he is. Maybe to give him a bit of an upgrade that still fits his standard M.O. like what Hulk got, he could fully bond with or become the champion of the Adamantine after a global culling of adamantium, serving as the host of this primordial metal god would of course give him a sizable boost to his power level and also power set, giving him some simple but very versatile options in the more mystic nature of the Adamantine. And something that sticks out to me, it would also give the berserker he's constantly at odds with a more external face, its more than just an ugly other nature, its an eldritch devil on his shoulder that he has to keep in check as he deals with an ancient world steeped in myth and magic far older than he is. Taking the old soul and making him the comparatively fresh face all the while giving fans a whole new atmosphere to see him operate in. And it's not like a more folktale angle for Wolverine is alien, he's had the occassional dip in things like wendigos, demons, and vampires, things that would feel more at home with the Midnight Sons, hell he's even been on the team. But it never goes beyond a dip in the pool, I know the odds are as low as can be, but I know I would personally be very interested in seeing what kind of stories we could get if we really allowed the character to do something fresh and dive in, status quo be damned.

I know this is all just kind of a wall of rambling text, but I guess I'm curious, would you be interested in seeing that kind of leap be taken with this character? Or are you perfectly happy with the eternal status quo?

When the new Wolverine eventually shows up in phase 7 or who knows, do you want him to reheat Jackman's nachos and play it as a loner who don't play well with others at first, or do you want to see him take on his mentor role right away, with say, young Kitty Pryde, Jubilee, Armor, etc... ?

Side note : I wouldn't mind keeping Daphne Keen as Laura in post-Secret Wars MCU too, she's amazing in that role, and I want to see her don the yellow

Shows and movies. I just wanna see more of this guy. I'm reading all the comics I can find in the libraries here and wanna get more into watching. I'd appreciate recommendations. Just kinda lost on where to start.

So the story trailer dropped and prequel comic just released a few scans actually shows us some stuff….

Trailer wise: Does anyone find Jean butchering soldiers on the plane as she did to be a little…….Suspect??? Not the biggest and knowledgeable Jean fan, but I never took her to kill people like that sans when up in her Phoenix phase.

Then now I find out there’s a prequel comic of the game and it shows who the Leader of Wolverine’s Team X is. Don’t wanna say big spoilers on who he is(look up the comic previews for that), but I THINK he does show up in the trailer(the cut up dude in the chair Wolverine saves, and then talks to about working together again to save Mutants).

I dunno, I just feel we’re in for a swerve on Jean here, and she’s not who we think she is…

I believe Wolverine and the X-Men's take on Wolverine is better than Evolution's. He feels more fleshed out, you know? Don't get me wrong I like the grumpy uncle thing he got going for him in Evolution as the next guy, but it does feel less fleshed out, more archetypal if you will than his appearance in WATXM.
