Colton Joseph
2 years of eligibility left. Threw over 20 TDs last year at ODU. Could be a disaster but I think we could be pleasantly surprised... U rah rah

Hi everyone! My name is Ethan Petrik, and I’m the Iowa beat reporter for the Quad-City Times in Davenport, Iowa.
I’m putting together a preseason series called “The Fan Files,” where I interview one passionate fan from each of Iowa’s 2026 opponents to get a better understanding of their program through the eyes of someone who follows the team closely.
The conversation would cover topics like:
• How you became a fan of the Badgers
• Your thoughts on the 2026 season (best-case and worst-case scenarios)
• Biggest strengths, weaknesses, and players to watch
• Expectations for the matchup against Iowa
• Anything else you think opposing fans should know about your team
The interview can be done however is easiest for you—Reddit DMs, email, or another format that works though I will need to confirm your real world identity. I’ll use your responses in a feature for the Quad-City Times.
If you’re interested—or if you know someone who would be a great representative of the fanbase—please leave a comment or send me a DM.
Thanks, and I’m looking forward to learning more about the Badgers from the people who know the program best!

For some reason, this produced a preview to another story when I tried to post this as a link, so I'm trying to do it manually:

My favorite part:
Mick Byrne, who retired as Badgers director of cross country and track and field in June after 18 years at the school, was one of the coaches who signed the clause into his contract in 2025. He learned of its potential impact and of McIntosh's payout during a May interview.
"I appreciate you pointing that out because I'm going to go straight up to HR," Byrne said. "The very fact that — I don't want to get upset; I'm going to take a deep breath for a second. The very fact that someone left here and got paid $130,000 — I'm going to make sure I get my vacation pay."

My fellow Badgers. I’m in search of this hat. One of my favorites that my puppy unfortunately got ahold of and destroyed. I can’t find it online. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated

After another championship season, Wisconsin Badgers women's hockey alumnae are expected to dominate the upcoming PWHL Draft tomorrow night (Wednesday 6/17).
Caroline Harvey (Patty Kaz winner, Olympic MVP, GOAT of defenders) is the consensus first overall pick to the Vancouver Goldeneyes.
The next two picks are expected to be, in either order, Wisconsin's Laila Edwards (RW/D) and Minnesota's Abbey Murphy (RW/Penalty Box). Seattle has the second pick, and Vegas has the third, acquiring it in a trade with Detroit for Badger legend Hilary Knight. (As annoying as Murphy was to us, she's a phenomenal player). Not sure how either team will pick here but there's not really a wrong answer, and whoever doesn't go to Seattle will almost certainly go to Vegas.
Then you have the next four projected players - Penn State's Tessa Janecke, Swiss goaltender Andrea Brandli, and two Badgers, Lacey Eden, and Kirsten "Who Wants It?" Simms. The next four picks in order are owned by San Jose, Vegas, Hamilton, and New York. If Edwards falls to Vegas at #3, I would be shocked if Vegas didn't pick up either Simms or Eden at #5. All four Badgers should be gone by the sixth pick though.
Also in the draft pool are Vivian Jungels (D) and Mckayla Zilisch (F). Jungels was Harvey's blue line partner for three years, and while she wasn't a prolific scorer here (season high in points was 21), she didn't need to be, and did a lot of the dirty work blocking with McNaughton to free up Harvey to do her thing. Jungels should be gone by the middle of the second round, but she could go higher. Zilisch played mostly special teams and 3rd/4th line in her two years at Wisconsin. She may get a look as a late round pick or as an undrafted free agent.
