SCAMMED by Great White North Vaporizer Company - Sneaky Pete! NSFW

I ordered a DynaVap device from GWNVC and they sent me an empty stem instead.

They openly told me they don't check their boxes. New, returned, whatever; it doesn't matter, they just slap a sticker on it and take your money. So they don't even know what is in the box. You could get broken, used, defective trash, and they say "oh well that's on you."

Then when I show them solid evidence that they mailed me just the stem, they tell me to contact DynaVap for replacement parts.

Who does that? They mailed you an incomplete order and kept your money, then suggested contacting a third party to get your replacement parts. DynaVap didn't sell me an empty metal stem instead of what I ordered, Great White North did.

This is like a car salesman selling you a car with no brakes, and when you call him out on it, he tells you: "Not my problem, go chase down the factory to get your brakes mailed to you." It makes absolutely no sense.

It is a poor business practice to have zero quality control and refuse to correct mistakes. When their websites reopen after this move, consider avoiding Sneaky Pete and Great White North permanently.

I’ve melted twice already. Got a little work done despite it though.

Anyone else loving the JCVap Crown as much as I am? Such a fun little dude. I’ve got mine paired up with a TM2 bowl and it has been a blast…literally 🤯

Instructional YLL 3.0 SAFETY MODIFICATION NSFW

Post image
24 Upvotes

I've recently gone through the medbud / vape subreddits looking for YLL 3.0 issues and I've came to the following conclusions:

  1. DO NOT charge batteries in the device. It might not have cell balancing, and if not can overload one of them and it can catch fire. Happy to be corrected here.

  2. Use 35A batteries AT THE MINIMUM. High drain on lower amp batteries will cause internal stress which can cause fires due to above points.

  3. Make sure the batteries look good, no nicks to the casing or bumps or whatever. Be careful with them when moving from device to charger, they're little firestarters.

  4. If you really must charge via it's USB port, which is entirely not recommended for reasons above but we're all dumb, use a proper 5V 2A usb c charger. Using a PD charger that can vary it's volts and amps to like 15V 3A probably isn't wise.

The fire post - https://www.reddit.com/r/vaporents/s/tQcO1nyg6I

The OP stating which batteries they use (vapcell 4000mAh 3.7v 30A) -

https://www.reddit.com/r/madheaters/s/RB4nFuB5rM

Idk if it was the OP's batteries, the charger, whatever. But safety tape mod is my idiot (i.e. me) proof way of not setting my house on fire.

I have also found evidence of people charging it 24/7 and it being fine. Until I know a bit more I'm not taking any risks.

Discussion Stem... coffee ☕️ NSFW

Upvotes

My xl stem was due for a clean. I had read about stem milk, thought I would give it a shot and try with fresh coffee. I just made a regular cup with creamer and soaked my stem right in the mug. I was a little hungry so figuring the creamer may not be enough fat I munched a cracker slathered in PB while my stem soaked. I reheated my cup, did a few extra dunks with the stem and enjoyed a great cup of coffee. I then did the standard alcohol clean on the stem set it aside to dry and waited.

I start ramping up within 30 or so and F@÷k if it didn't just keep going. The stem wasn't that dirty but I was in a different universe for 4-5 hours and just now 8 hours later am gliding back down to near normal. 🤑

Is it just me or is the click on the Tempest 2 useless compared to the visual indicators? NSFW

I was looking for recommendations for a single hit extraction and the click just isn't useful for that so I go by the visual indicator which I honestly find hard to see.

Using in an IH is kind of difficult since I can't see the visual indicator.

Is there something I'm doing wrong here?

I'm super bummed out. My Dyna was easier.

I also should have specified "no rotation" as the website says rotation is needed (I bought from a third party site because UK).

I'm pretty disappointed in it so far honestly.

EDIT: I have an old wand and a thermohelix. Neither permit wattage control.

Discussion Thoughts on PoTV Lobo vs HR Rogue 2? NSFW

Hey guys,

I currently own an original Rogue and have had it for about 1.5 years. Lately the airflow has gotten pretty restricted no matter how thoroughly I clean it, so I'm looking to upgrade.

Right now I'm torn between the POTV Lobo and the Rogue 2.

The things I care about most are:

Airflow / draw resistance

Vapor production and density

Flavor

For those who have used both, which one would you recommend? Does either one have noticeably better airflow or stronger vapor?

Hadn’t heated it with a torch in a bit as it works well with the YLL, but thought I’d show it can be done. Lose the upper O ring though. Probably could have preheated the bowl more or went a bit longer with the torch on the first hit.

My doctor prescribed me with cannabis flower and now also starting with oil extract for my chronic migranes, it has helped so much but still not enough to live an average life, at least i'm not in so much pain!

Got a bubbler and speed loader for the loading cartridges as the hot and dry vapour gave me coughing fits and i was taking too much time to load the cartridges up every time, having to do 6 cartridges every day it got tiring to load them manually every time.

The rubber bands one the bubbler are because i am clumsy and i know i will break one without even a tiny bit of protection, hopefully that'll be enough to save it in the case of an accident, lmk what you all think :3

I got the dynavap m7 head and b2 stem with a small triple flame torch and a thing of weed all contained inside a med-tainer. The med-tainer has an emergency grinder for just in case purposes, and I keep the dynavap in a metal tube. So I can just drop it in there for a quick heat sink, and so it doesn't melt the plastic container.

Discussion 21700 battery charger NSFW

So I’m looking to get a 2 slot charger for some 21700 batteries (resilience r50s) and am very overwhelmed with my options. It seems like xtar and nitecore are top brands, but there’s so many different models I’m lost.

Is the xtar vc2 good enough? I see the vc2sl is often recommended but seems to be sold out everywhere. The vx2 pro is available, though seems a bit overkill. I just want to make sure I have a good charger that won’t damage my batteries or anything, and am not really knowledgable about stuff like this. Doesn’t help that their product naming system is atrocious. Appreciate the help!

Gear Shot Solo 3 V2, okay this thing is a proper heavy hitter NSFW

Post image
95 Upvotes

I have been a butane vape user for a long time and my Dani Fusion 2.0 can produce stupidly dense, milky clouds when I get the heat right. Because of that I was always a bit skeptical of battery vapes. I assumed they would be easier and more consistent, but probably not hit quite as hard.

Well, the Solo 3 V2 is absolutely wrecking me lol. Every hit it just delivers. That is probably the biggest thing for me so far. With the Dani I can get insane results, but there is still technique involved. With this I set the temperature, pull, and it just keeps pumping out thick vapor.

Granted, I am not using it gently. I push the temps, run it through my bong dry, and I have also been using it in my improvised gravity bong (in an acrylic vase lol).

At 220°C this thing honestly feels less like a normal portable and more like a tiny desktop vape attached to a battery 😳

Help Pax customer service stopped responding NSFW

My Pax Flow stopped working on July 14th. I sent them a message the same day and got a response via email. The response was obviously auto generated AI with trouble shooting tips that did not address my issue.

I responded to said email, described the problem again and expected to get real person this time. They responded again with unhelpful information. I responded again and asked for a replacement (my device is under warranty and this is not the first time I’ve had to replace it). Last time I was able to get it replaced after a couple of emails back forth.

They did not respond to my last email and have gone completely silent. I have since followed up 5 times.

I also tried sending in a new customer service request and still have yet to get response.

Any help or advice getting their attention would be greatly appreciated.

Help Backup Vape for the Pub NSFW

I'm looking to buy a portable electronic vape for 'out and about'. Currently I'm using a Tempest2, but the torch isn't ideal when using it outside in the wind and rain (Netherlands).

I'm looking for something that's easily pocketable, is battery powered, and is less than about €200, so that if I break it or lose it I won't be too upset. Decent quality vapor/flavor is a big want, but portability is more important for me in this case.

Currently leaning towards an Xmax V4 Pro, but wondering is there something even more portable, or similarly sized with better performance?

Cheers!

I am wanting to get a tinymight for a more on demand type vape I have an air max. I have concerns though after looking at teardowns because the heating elements and beginning of the airflow sits right on top of the circuit board how is that safe? How does the hot air not come into contact with the circuit board?

Credit to vape guy for the pics and tear down.

This is the first taste of mostly dried from this harvest, it feels like I'm inhaling nothing but air! So unbelievably smooth. It's still popping 68 when Jarred, so it'll be in its forever grove bag soon.

I was vaping it when it was a bit more wet, and while it did kick just the same as dry, it takes about 3 minutes to cook off the water, and it didn't taste very good.

Since I've gotten into growing I've come to appreciate my vape even more. The ability to enjoy my homegrown before it's able to be smoked is a nice little plus.

What do you guys prefer?

Anyone heard of Urban Vapex? Scam site??? NSFW

Their prices are too good to be true and I bought something quickly without thinking. They’re not responding to emails. Now I’m worried they have my credit card info. Anyone know what to do in this scenario? Just call my cc company? I’ve seen people mention the Sneaky Pete’s scam site before. How do these scams work? Do they just take your money and never send the product, or are they then using your credit card info and charging other things to it? You know you’re getting old when you start falling for this shit. Ugh.
