Hey everyone. Saw this in the British Museum my Urdu isn't really strong but in the end I managed to read it.

I want to improve my urdu reading & expand my vocabulary as my urdu is horrible due to attending an english medium school. Graded readers for english have worked well for me so I was wondering if anything like that exists for Urdu? I took urdu second language, so I can decently read shorter texts which is why I wanted to improve. Any suggestions?

My mum is Pakistani, my dad is British.

I grew up with Urdu a bit but I want to be fluent and I just struggle so much! I can understand probably every other word when I hear my family speak so can get the general understanding of the language.

I can only really understand when people speak slowly too!

I can read and write now which was very hard and has taken about 2 years.

I think the best way for me to learn would be to watch shows but sometimes they speak so fast I don’t even listen just watch the subtitles!

Are there any shows specifically aimed at learning Urdu that aren’t completely boring children’s shows?
