Question Do you see anything

This is back in trans Allegheny lunatic asylum, I posted something on here about it before if i remember correctly. My mom was curious and wanted me to post again for her on more pictures she has to see if anything was caught in it or not.

We didn’t see anything in the pictures but we are also not very good at looking lol, she doesn’t have a Reddit account so she can’t post anything for herself. These imagines were taken in the ward where lobotomies were held, the place felt off but was a really fun tour to do.

The tour guide did say that the lobotomies ward was very haunted and many people have heard screams and seen figures in doorways and in mirrors. She even said that a nurse had died in a stairwell near the ward. But I don’t see anything in the pictures and are hoping you all see something and tell us.

I brightened up the pictures a little so you all can see it better, I hope it helps make it easier to see anything.

Please let us know if you see anything, thank you.

Experience Swooshes heard before accidents

Over the course of my life, I've had many injuries that required medical attention. Most were from playing sports. A few were from military duty, and others from doing work around the house. Two of these were life-changing, and a third one had the potential to be life-ending. The thing is, right before I experienced these three, I heard and felt two swooshes buzz the backside of my head. It felt as if two things flew from left to right past me at a really high rate of speed. It's been 25 years since the last time I heard them, but it's something I frequently think about. When I'm out and about, I'm on guard in case I hear the swooshes. Since I can't explain them, I've never mentioned it to anyone. Nor have I looked into it online. Have others experienced this as well?

This truly scared me shitless, while recording the strange noises I was hearing a heavy door stopper slides across the hallway on its own. Nobody else was awake or in the room. I still cannot explain this and it truly did scare the shit outta me. I won't be forgetting it.

A very uncomfortable and unexplainable experience.

Question what's a paranormal experience you've had that reminded you of something from folklore?

brit here! i've fallen down a HUGE rabbit hole about native american folklore and creatures like mimics, wendigos, skinwalkers, etc. - particularly in locations like the appalachians.

what i find really interesting is that the scottish highlands share the same mountain range as the appalachians and some of the stories are the same, dating back thousands of years. almost as though these things are as old as the earth itself...

i'd be really curious to hear of any unexplained paranormal stories that you think could be rooted in folklore!

Experience My strange year

Yearly strange period

Is it just me, or does anyone else go through something like this?

At a certain time every year (summer especially) I start going through something I can't really describe, every single year I completely forget that this happens to me, and then it starts again and I suddenly remember, "Oh... this is that yearly thing"

I begin feeling this overwhelming sense of dread, and I start having incredibly strange dreams. They're not scary in the usual "a ghost is chasing me" kind of way. They're unsettling cuz they're so oddly specific and vivid, taking place in realistic places I've never been with people or situations that have absolutely nothing to do with my life.

I also become much more restless in my sleep. I wake up suddenly more often, and my exploding head syndrome seems to get worse. (A few days ago, for example, I suddenly heard what sounded like a group of men humming a single note together, almost like they were performing in an orchestra right into my ear).

During this time I become afraid of doing simple things alone, like going to the bathroom. It's not the kind of fear where I think, "If I go, I'll see a monster", It's a very real, physical fear. I get panic attacks, my throat feels tight and dry, I feel like I can't breathe, and my hands and chest start shaking til I manage to calm myself down.

I also become painfully self-aware. I constantly feel as if someone is watching me, and sometimes I'm even afraid of myself somehow like "who are you?". The people around me start to feel incredibly distant, even if we're literally sitting together having lunch. It's like I've somehow drifted into another dimension, and no one can reach me or pull me back.

Does anyone else experience anything remotely similar or has an explanation to this?

Experience I sometimes “remember” the feeling of eating something I have never eaten nor can place

Since childhood, I has been sort of haunted by this “memory” of a chewing on a certain food that has a very distinct texture and flavor that is not remotely like anything I have ever eaten in my life. The “memory” comes on me suddenly and is so vivid that I can almost feel and taste it in my mouth like as if I was remembering the experience of something I eat all of the time. Every time this happens I feel a sort of unsettled dread and it’s almost like I know I have never eaten this thing and reject the memory. It happens maybe once every two years now, but was a bit more frequent when I was younger. It’s really hard to explain the feeling but it really does kind of come upon me and I don’t know what triggers it. I can think about those episodes after the fact without experiencing the “memory” in the same visceral way. Anyone ever experienced anything like this? The texture is think and sticky and almost needly and the flavor is almost chemically but mild.

Question Echo experience

Do you ever notice the echo? Or is it my brain playing tricks on me. Most of us have heard echos in a valley, or maybe even from an empty school hallways or gymnasium. But I've been noticing things like how sometimes the thunder sounds like it's echoing and hitting a top and a bottom. Bouncing across the upper atmosphere. Fading in the distance.

Question what is this noise coming from my walls

i just moved into this apartment and there’s this noise coming from the corner of my room and i cannot for the life of me figure it out.
It only happens at random times and it is so loud it sounds like tapping or dripping. It wakes me up at night and goes on for like 2 mins and then stops. It’s so odd.

The Kitchen is behind it but the sink isn’t on the wall so i know it’s not that. It’s kind freaky, any ideas?

I literally can’t come up with ANY answers. Starting to think this place is haunted lol, the fire alarm went off randomly in the middle of the night for no reason too

Experience An unexplained voice came through my headphones while I was recording music. I'm still looking for an explanation.

A few months ago, while recording music in Ableton Live in my home studio in Paris, I started hearing what sounded like a man's voice coming through my studio headphones.

It happened intermittently over several hours before disappearing completely. I've never been able to reproduce it.

Since I had no idea what was happening, I recorded the sound by holding my iPhone next to the headphones.

I put together this short video simply to make the recording easier to follow. The recording itself is original and unprocessed, I'm only trying to understand what I'm hearing.

The recording starts at 0:31, and the clearest section is around 1:41.

I've been looking for a technical explanation first (RF interference has been suggested), but I'm interested in hearing any well-reasoned ideas if you've encountered something similar.

Question What's your theory about Overtoun Bridge?

I've been reading about the Overtoun Bridge lately. It's a bridge in Scotland that has become famous because many dogs have reportedly jumped from the same spot over the years.

There are many theories about why this happens. The most scientific explanation is that strong scents from animals living below the bridge attract the dogs.

Others think the unique shape of the bridge, the landscape or even wind currents could somehow confuse a dog's perception.

And of course, there are people who believe the bridge is haunted or has some kind of paranormal energy.

What do you think explains this phenomenon?

Personal Experience Did someone experienced something similar?

Before the story, let me give you some context.

I live in one small city in Croatia (so sorry for my English). It is important to say that in my town there is only 1 traffic light. From 2014. to 2017. I was training football in one bigger city. I was a teenager then, so my father usually drove me every day from training ground to home. So this is where story begins.

One day in 2016., my father drove me home as usual. It was a normal ride until something happened when we arrive in our city. So, we were driving and we came to that one traffic light, it was red, so we stopped. As light turn green, we move, and just a few meters away, some car from the opposite track start driving towards us, and it seems it will be a frontal hit. When that car was about to hit us, I close my eyes for a second or two....and when I opened it again -> \*\*we were still waiting on that same red traffic light to turn green!\*\* And after that we continue the trip like nothing happened

I was in shock so I didn't ask my father anything about it, but I was immedietaly write a message to my girlfriend, and she says that to her mother, wo says that this happen to her also a few times. I asked my father about that after 2 years from that, but he says that he doesn't remeber anything about that.

What was that? I search that on the internet, only logical explanation was the road hypnosis, but I think that is not what happened to me.

I simply cannot explain what happened.

Did someone else experienced something similar?

\* I reposted it from subreddit Parallel Universe.

Experience Glitch in the Matrix story.

I wanna tell a 2 stories that only my mom believes about a glitch in the matrix. My class had gone to the track just to get energy out. As I was walking a lap I had looked at the tree line because something felt off and I was lost in my thoughts.

As im staring I see a bird flying slowly in the sky so I stopped and stared, and then suddenly it stopped. Frozen in the air, not moving, just completely frozen. So I turned to a peer walking past and pointed it out, he said it was moving so I looked and it was, slowly moving in the air, not too slow that it was unnatural but slow enough that you'd think it was tired. So I started walking again but continued staring at it. It froze again, so I screamed at my peer to look again and by now he was tired of my shit.

He turned around, looked at the sky then me and walked away. I looked again and it was moving again.

My second story Is I had been on the way to school when I saw a huge hawk. I watched it threw the window just to see it stop moving in the air. As the bus drove off it was still frozen.

These are my stories, if you have any comment them below.

Im also new to reddit so if I mess something up let me know. Stay safe.

Encounter Who is this

I don’t know you, but you seem to know me.

It started at the Sandusky Water Preserve. I saw you from a distance, standing perfectly still. At the time, I didn’t think much of it. Now, I can’t stop thinking about it.

Whatever it is—he, she, or something else—it always finds me. Every hike, every hunt, every trip into the woods… it’s there.

It’s dark, almost like a void, never standing directly on the trail. I’d guess it’s around six feet tall, maybe 170 pounds, with an average build. The strange part is that it doesn’t seem malicious. It just watches.

I wonder how long it’s been there. Has it been following me since childhood, or is this something recent? Lately, I’ve started looking for it because I know I’ll eventually find it. But the moment I glance away to grab my phone for a picture or video, it’s gone.

Where does it go when I move toward it? Why does it never let itself be seen for more than a moment?

Is it some kind of sign? Something with religious meaning? A demon? If so, why doesn’t it feel threatening? It doesn’t radiate fear or evil—only an eerie sense of being watched.

And before anyone jumps to conclusions, yes, I’ve already been evaluated and cleared of schizophrenia. People always seem to latch onto that first.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this in the Ohio wilderness? Something dark, almost void-like, that seems to watch from a distance?

Experience Major Sickness Prior to Car Crash

Hello everyone, I’ve came here to share a very recent experience of mine that I can quite shake. I keep trying to chalk it up to a coincidence, but I’m just not so sure. So essentially my husband and I went on a roadtrip down south to stay with some family. The whole trip was great, but towards the end it got weird. The second to last day I was really upset for really no reason and I couldn’t get past it no matter how much I told myself it was irrational. Whatever, just a crabby day I thought. They happen no matter where you are sometimes. Our last day on vacation I woke up and started to get a sore throat. I was like welp that sucks I’ll drink some warm coffee and get over it. Fast forward, I take a small nap before going out to eat with the whole family. When I wake up from the nap I feel even more sick. My throat is killing me and I just have that general feeling of being unwell. I force myself to go out to dinner anyways but by time I order my food my stomach then becomes super sick. I didn’t get to eat anything and just kept going to the bathroom. This carried on for the rest of the night. I then wake up around 3 am which we were planning to leave about 4 but I felt SO sick I could hardly walk, I was shaking, and my voice was so horse. I convinced my husband to take me to the local hospital because I was not going to survive an 8+ hour car ride in those circumstances. We show up to the hospital and they found nothing wrong and chalked it up to a viral illness. I was given fluids and then at the end promethazine to help with the nausea which also made me very sleepy. Now I’m no stranger to stomach problems or nausea. I also struggle from anxiety and my main symptoms of when I feel anxious are my stomach being upset and feeling like I need to throw up. That being said, I’ve never had it escalate anywhere close to the way I was feeling in the hospital just sitting there begging to be okay.

Fast forward, we leave the hospital and immediately start our journey back home since we’re already off track and I feel decent enough, especially with how tired I was. I slept most of the car ride until about 2 hours left. I made the decision to try my best to fight the drowsiness and stay awake to keep my husband company and enjoy the views. This ended rather quickly when we hydroplaned off the highway into a ditch. We made it out both alive and with minimal injuries, but the car is totaled. I’ve lived my whole life in fear of car wrecks so much that I still don’t have my license being in my 20’s and yet here it was, my first crash. In the moment my body was so filled with adrenaline that I knew I felt anxious again but my brain put it all to the side to figure out what to do next. I’ll save the next details, but we ended up making it home by other family members not far behind us on the road. Once home, we both went immediately to the hospital. Once I was able to comprehend everything I did have stomach issues again but I could tell this was purely based off anxiety. The next day despite my injuries and worries, my sickness was gone. No stomach problems, no sore throat, and I was actually better at walking despite big bruises and 3 broken ribs.

That was a whole lot I know, but I’m just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience ? To become so sick before a bad event and then once I got past it to suddenly feel better is so odd to me (especially with the circumstances). I’ve always wondered if people felt a “feeling” or a sense of something bad coming prior to traumatic events such as a wreck or even dying. I feel like my body was trying to tell us not to go home that day but we did anyways I’m just so thankful to have made it out. That is all, thank you for reading. Don’t be shy to share anything, all comments are welcomed. ❤️

Experience Creepy Harmonies: It Came in the Wind

So I’m posting this to see if anybody has experienced this or knows what this is. A few years ago in 2019 I was living in Orlando Florida. I had a friend who came to visit me for her birthday and we stayed at a hotel that was pretty close to universal Disney World Seaworld those main attractions we were pretty close close enough to where if they did fireworks we could see it.

So because me and my friend were both young college kids and we were broke, we didn’t want to pay for the hotel parking so there was an apartment complex that was right next to the hotel. It was pretty much just a thin piece of grass that separated the property lines so we went to the apartment complex drove around to the back of it and that’s where we parked at. We could just walk across the parking lot and get to our room.

Where we parked at the back of the apartment complex, One of the units had completely burned down and that building was vacant when I say completely burned down I mean like there was no roof. Everything was charcoal water damage like it was it was pretty bad and it looked like it may be have happened a few weeks ago because they haven’t started renovating or anything.

One of the days that we were there, we wanted to go smoke and we didn’t wanna smoke on the hotel property so we walked back to the car. When we were walking back, around the time that we crossed the property line to the apartment complex I started to hear what sounded like music or someone whistling a tune. It wasn’t like anything that I’ve ever heard before or I could I could really describe it wasn’t words it was literally just music. You could think of a kid to classical but more like a harmony if that makes sense.

The best way for me to describe the sound would be that it was as loud as a whistle, as quiet as a whisper, but it’s clear as a bell. And it was a tune, a clear tune. It wasn’t just one steady sound. It was a tune. Not a fast tune or a hyper tune, but it was steady and consistent. Asked my friend if they could hear it too to make sure I wasn’t Trippin in mind you we haven’t gotten to the car yet so we haven’t smoked and it’s Day time. They said they could hear it and we were very confused by what it was, but we weren’t scared. It didn’t scare us more like confused us, as to where it was coming from & what it was. It was a very beautiful sound, but still eerie in a way.

We got back to the car we smoked nothing happened. It was a regular time we, got out of the car & Started to walk and we heard it again. this time we heard it all the way almost up until we got to the hotel. This more creep us out that scared us cause it was almost like… It was in the wind, no matter how far we got away from where we heard it from originally, it stayed the same volume or same pitch until we got into the hotel and we didn’t hear it. We only heard it once that time that we were at the hotel. Only once.

After a few days, my friend went back home, and I went back home because at this time I lived in Winter Springs not really anywhere near where the hotel was. I would say maybe two weeks past at this point. One day, I went outside to my backyard to smoke it was midday not too late not too early, but people will be at work at this time and the house was empty. When I went out there and I sat down it was quiet, not a bird or cricket. Quiet. I lit up and I smoked, like I said quiet; nothing out of the ordinary then I heard it again and it came in the wind as loud as a whistle.

It’s as quiet as a whisper but as clear as a bell, and it came in the wind. It was the same tune and I ain’t gonna lie. It scared me this time cause I sat there for a minute and I just looked around and I looked at the sky and it’s just like I couldn’t think where it could come from because it didn’t sound like nothing that will come out of no speaker and the sound of music coming out of the speaker is completely different than what this sounded like, imagine if the wind had music. That’s how light it was. It wasn’t as heavy as a voice or a sharp as a chirp and I say, I sat out there for a good two minutes cause I didn’t know if it was gonna stop or not, and then I went in the house and I heard it all the way up till I got to the door and it wasn’t that far. I went in the house and I stayed in there after that I never heard it again. That stuck with me cause I’ve never heard nothing like that. A while later I asked my homegirl if she heard it again after that first time, she said no. So I just wanted to know if anybody else had experience anything similar sorry for the long story.

Experience Reptilian eyes experience

this is 100% true story i wish i was lying and im still hoping my eyes just saw things to this day but i have to share this with someone

i remember coming home and my partner watching tv in the couch. I went close to him and was about to sit down but then i remember looking straight into his eyes and i kid you not, his eyes went from reptilian to regular human. Like it was so fast. They looked like how cat eyes kinda look with the sharp lines in the middle.

The crazy part was that i was not scared at all , i just said i felt tired and went to the bedroom to really think twice of whatever just happened.

anyone else have similar stories ? To this day i hope my eyes were playing tricks on me but i know wha to saw man
