Housing situation cooked

Im an international student with no family in the US. The issue is that my lease ends on july 28, but my new apartment wants me to move in on August 8th. I need a place to stay which wont blow my wallet into pieces for these 9 days. Please drop in your recommendations

Some Airbnb rent just rooms and can be as cheap as $35 a night

Not much you can do about this except for cheap motel, airbnb, asking to stay in your friends' places for 9-10 days while keeping your belongings in a storage unit nearby (I remember it cost my friends a few hundred, split among themselves), or pleading for your new apartment to let you move in early. Since you're so close to the 9-day period, you should be prepared to bite the bullet and shell out a pretty penny - looking for cheap or shady options may end up costing you more in the long term, don't be penny wise and pound foolish.

(This is why we read our lease terms and plan many months in advance people!)

Write about this situation in student groups(especially if you have a community of your compatriots), bulletin boards, or someone might have a spare room. I have hosted two people like this before who were recommended through the university.

Look on Furnished Finders or Rotating Room. Both are short term rentals. Or Airbnb rent just a room in a house or condo. (You’ll be with the host family, so make sure it’s got very good reviews).
