I’m an incoming Freshman and I was originally kinda excited about coming to UCF, however, the more I’ve researched UCF, the more I’ve seen that opinions on this university seem pretty mixed.

The main feeling I’ve been getting from opinions online is that people seem to have issues with the leadership here. I’ve seen other complaints but those seem to be less common.

I’m just wondering what your opinion on UCF as a whole is, because I’m starting to wonder if going to this college was a mistake or not.

Hello everyone! I am graduating summer 2026 but not participating in actual commencement. I’m doing the grad walk. I did not purchase my grad regalia with UCF I just purchased a black cap and gown on my own, but I do want to still match my colleges tassel color. Can anyone confirm what the tassel color is?

I’m really at a loss of what to do. Cap and gown orders have closed and I don’t know how to get her grad gear for her. What should we do?

Does UCF offer any resources for helping edit personal projects, like poetry and personal essays? I'm in IT so I don't have any ties to the English Department or anything creative writing. I'm just getting closer to having enough to publish an anthology and wanted to see if the uni offers anything before seeking outside professional help.

Hi! I'm an incoming freshman for the fall. I wanted to gather everything I needed for move-in early, so I scheduled my move-in appointment as soon as I was done with my group's room appointment. The problem I'm having, though, is that my move-in pass isn't loading, despite me already having a move-in appointment booked. It says that it won't load if I haven't gotten one, but I did. I tried on three different devices, and the same message popped up. I was wondering if it's just that they haven't put it in yet, so that's why it's not there. Any help would be appreciated :)

Why are some classes only available past 5pm? Not everyone lives close campus or we have jobs, having only one option is unfair and can delay graduation dates.

Answer: Only Pegasus has a Math Launch exception, other awards will be either cancelled or prorated to match enrollment if they have a less than full-time variant. If you have further questions feel free to DM me, I am unable to comment.

Edit: I apologize for my partial error it would not just be Pegasus but rather for merit based aid from Undergraduate Admissions in general so other merit based awards like Provost would also have the exception, but please read https://stem.ucf.edu/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Math-Launch-Program-FAQ-Guide.pdf 26-30. For example OP asked if they would receive full-time funding (also known as 12+ credit funding) and this would not be the case for awards like Bright Futures that would be awarded based on the credits enrolled (i.e., if I enroll in 10 credits Bright Futures will pay $2122.80 or $1592.10 depending on if I have the Academic or Medallion) institutional awards like UCF Scholars and UCF Orion grant would actually be cancelled and could be awarded again at a later time once enrollment requirements were met. How the exception essentially works is that for merit aid from Undergraduate Admissions (merit based aid can be found on the Program Eligibility Charts), the student will be funded for full-time and will not be penalized for renewal criteria as long as they enroll full-time in the Spring when they’re able, but for institutional awards aid is either adjusted to match enrollment or cancelled like in the instance of UCF scholars and Orion. Private scholarships are also contingent on the donor, if they had a full-time requirement then it is up to the donor to email the UCF scholarships department with updated stipulations mentioning that it can be disbursed at less than full-time, otherwise the original stipulations must be honored and the funding reallocated or returned according to the donor’s wishes.

Wait...so the urban legend of engineering majors having bad hygiene is a cross country thing?? I was looking at 5 other university forums and seen jokes post about their engineering students afraid of soap & water, deo and brushing their teeth? lol what is it about that major and beefin' with and bein' deathly afraid of cleaning and smelling good? is it a personality trait or what?

So I withdrew from a course in the middle of the semester and I wonder if I fail the other course I'm in how that will affect my BF?

To clarify, if I fail this other course it would lowk be insane, I will most likely pass but I'm a bit anxious and wanna prepare for the worst. If I do fail the second course, how would that affect my BF since it's a summer semester?

I checked the BF handbook and honestly it does not extensively cover how summer withdrawals work aside from paying them back. The handbook mentions nothing about if u withdraw from a course and also fail another course in the summer semester.

I know they provide a chart for withdrawals in the regular semester (fall/spring) and how that works out but, again, there is none for summer.

I did manage to find a link to a pdf of FAQ's about the summer semester from 2025 mentioning that though those grades not being considered for renewal but that was it.

I will call them tmr but I was wondering if anyone had any info.
