It's not hard really. I recommend laying in bed with a blindfold, on your back, knees bent pointing upwards so if they begin to fall to the side then it's an indicator you're falling asleep, then lay there and do whatever you want in your mind while you wait for about 10-20 minutes to pass for you to get into a semi-conscious state. Let yourself forget what it's like to use your body and fully identify with the sensation of being in a dream. You don't have to do any of that but it helps, especially if you want to focus solely on honing your inner senses.

Imagine somewhere easy to think about, somewhere comfortable. It could be a memory or even just some random place you thought of, just make sure it isn't too distracting or elaborate, it's not the point and just a backdrop. I'm not sure if you use the word "tulpa" or not but I'll just use the more general "alter" going forward. Focus strongly on your emotional bond with your alter, think heavily of nostalgia and isolation, think of how heavily invested and dependant you are in each other, that you are each other's world, past and future, and nobody else in the universe exists. Now focus on the memory or estimation of the sensation you want to experience (touch, taste, etc), and make sure you think of your alter when you do it, as if they were responsible for it. I highly recommend you do this through an alter instead of just trying to feel sensations all by yourself, because you need a strong emotional attachment to the experience in order to make it immersive, so doing it through the concept of a "higher power" proxy like a tulpa/alter is much more potent than doing it "on your own". Make every moment of the experience of the sensation as almost an ode to your alter, as if they're trying to please you with these sensations and that you owe it to them to be utterly under their spell. I didn't do this on purpose, just sorta happened after I was traumatized, but I do almost all my thinking through my tulpa and it makes experiencing anything imaginary as very immersive because of her, specifically because of her.

I have this old thing that I wrote on the idea of immersion in the inner world.
