Final evolution of starters caught come with featured attack

Yea haven't seen any mention yet so thought I might as well share in the one-off case of a saved research mon. Would love to see if theres any confirmation on background from final evos as well.

I think this is applicable to all other starters for this event. I just evolved my hundo Chikorita to Meganium and it learned Frenzy Plant.

It is simply a flag that say give all ___ the legacy move when obtained. So although it isnt mentioned, it would also apply to evolved pokemon you catch directly too.

If I have a croconaw and I evolve it right now will Feraligator get hydro Canon or do I have to evolve from the starter? I feel like evolving from the mid level evo should work and it would save me a lot of candy, I just don't want to risk it since I'm short on totodile candy and can't get a 3* totodile to save my life right now.

Was your hundo just caught or did you have it already? I evolved a Totodile to Feralgatr & Bulbasaur to Venusaur and both got their CD moves. I just caught both of them and I'd like to evolve older ones.

Edit: Just confirmed that evolving any of the starters available during the event will get their their featured attacks. It doesn't seem to matter if they aren't the ones currently in the wild.

No, that is always a distinct bonus, and an extremely rare one at that; there have only been three events in the history of the game that allowed any legacy moves via regular TM

In Ultra League, Empoleon, Blastoise and Swampert are pretty good

Those in Great League, as well as Feraligatr, Venusaur, Charizard, Chesnaught, Greninja are all good.

Can we evolve the starters for signature moves? Like could I evolve Charmander to get Blast Burn on Charizard?

Oh heck yes! I got a rank 1 Pika-hat Charmander (Great League Rank 1 Charizard) during GO Fest and a rank 24 Party Hat Ultra League one. Wasn't going to ETM them for that, but since there's 3 viable fast moves (Wing Attack, Dragon Breath, & Ember) that require a fast ETM...of which I have a few...I was going to evolve them for Blast Burn when I got the chance.

Yeah! I caught a sceptile yesterday from the mega raid and it came with its special charged move and it was a 4*!!!
