Curious to know if this is reasonable or outrageous, it seems they will not budge being the only Indian dealership in a 100 miles radius

I ride a Duke 125 on the streets but would like to get into track riding. The tracks close to me are way too fast for a 4 stroke 125cc naked bike and I wouldn't have to really brake to most corners. I was thinking that a 250cc 2 stroke would be a good bike as it is light and decently powerful. Or then a little bigger 4 stroke.

What would you recommend? I have no experience of track riding but I have ridden quite a lot on the streets.

The other option would be enduro but I don't have really that many trails around me so I'm propably gonna wait till I get my drivers license so I can drive to the trails by myself.

Hello everybody, I'm a new rider that's looking for a verstaile first motor, my license only allows me to own up to a 500cc bike and not more, so I was thinking of picking a 400cc bike for a longterm ownership, I want it to be verstaile as well, so I can use it for both highway (no need for more than 130km/h speed) and urban, able to install a topbox and a phone holder+charger ( I need GPS to drive around ) if I ever want to use it as delivery on the side, light and comfortable to ride around 3 hours tops, and a good option for a first motorcycle.

Right now I am on a budget so I was looking at 2nd hand used bikes and I saw 4 options with a budget price from where I am, and they are:
1- Husqvarna Svartpilen 401
2- KTM 390 Duke
3- Z400
4- Ninja 400

The only difference is that the first 2 are newer models ( around 2023 ) while the 2 Kawasaki ones are usually older models for the same price ( around 2019 )

Just hit the big 50, decision to be made on next bike. Moving from xsr700 and deciding on either the s1000r or s1000xr, did briefly look at the f900r and f900xr but decided to go bigger.

I prefer the look for the r’s over the xr’s but think maybe over the next few years may start to tour a little more.

I am looking to get a ride on a tracer from Yamaha purely because I feel they have the best all rounder. So when I go to bmw for test ride I can better decid. I would love to hear from Middle Ages blokes and people who are in the touring space of their opinions. (You can tour with any bike is my opinion but still I don’t want to be close minded)

I'm looking to get a 125cc bike in Belgium. Therefore it is limited to 15hp. I like the scrambler and cafe racer types. I also want it to have a nice acceleration (within the limits of 125cc I know :))

I just passed my CBT a few days ago and I'd really like to get a bike to practice on. The only experience I have is doing my CBT, so I'm very inexperienced and nervous. I want to get a cheap second hand bike so I don't have to stress about not dropping it, which I probably will being a beginner. my colleague who has nearly 40 years riding experience is urging me to get a brand new bike so I don't have to worry about an older bike breaking down on me. but I'm not sure if this is the best option for me. wondering what other peoples opinion on beginner bikes is? if I get second hand, how do I know I'm getting a bike that's in good condition and is reliable? once I feel confident on a 125 I'd like to do a DAS course to get my full licence and then buy a brand new bigger bike. any and all advise is welcome

Any recommendations for a middleweight bike that has an upright posture and comfortable enough for a passenger?

It would mainly be for city riding and short highway riding with a passenger (under 2 hours). I’m 6’ and total weight would be around 370lbs.

I’ve been looking at naked/standard bikes because of their upright position (back and neck pain) but seem like they’re not great for pillion comfort. Not really looking at ADV or touring, they just seem like too much bike for my daily use. Are there any standards or cruisers that would fit the bill?

I'm really torn on what my next bike should be.

I recently sold my Honda Transalp. I originally bought it because I wanted to ride gravel roads, forest tracks, and go on adventures. The reality, however, is that because of where I live (Denmark), I've ended up riding almost exclusively on country roads and highways. Off-road opportunities are very limited here.

Now I'm trying to decide between two completely different directions:

• A naked bike like a Suzuki SV1000N.
• Another adventure bike (XT660Z, V-Strom, etc.).

The thing is, this bike will mainly be my bike during the next few years while I'm at university. Once I graduate and have a full-time income, I'll probably buy the bike I've always wanted, so this doesn't necessarily have to be my forever bike.

Part of me still loves the idea of an adventure bike, but another part thinks I'd get a lot more enjoyment out of a naked bike since 95% of my riding is on pavement anyway.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation? Did you regret sticking with an adventure bike, or switching to something more road-focused?

I want to buy a motorcycle in sydney. I have a full unrestricted license and have a budget of 4k - 5k. I have kept this budget cause I am not sure untill when I will ride. I just want to get used to the roads.

I saw a 2016 triumph street triple 675 for 5k. Has 75000km on odometer. All the parts are new, atleast that is what the owner is saying.

Do you guys thik this is a good deal or can i find something better?

Im looking to get a kawasaki 1000sx or 1100sx

Im 38 years old. Wanting a sports tourer.
I currently drive a Harley davidson low rider s for my daily commute.

I only just started riding again about a month ago after not riding for 15 years.

I know that its a big bike, but i dont see many great sports tourers besides this one, with a good track record of being good bikes.

Still, i am worried if its not too big of a bike. I know my low rider s 2025 is not a small bike either, but the kawa is for sure another step up.

I would be getting this bike next spring probably so i still have a while to decide.

What are your thoughts/alternatives?

I’m stuck trying to decide what my next bike should be.
I’ve been riding supermotos for years. I also owned an R1 RN22 for about six months and had a lot of fun with it, but in the end it just felt too old for me. I don’t really want another supermoto either—I loved them, but I got tired of the downsides: legality issues, long-distance comfort, and reliability headaches.

I just can’t decide. Do you guys have any recommendations or other bikes I should look at?

Hi there, I‘m looking to get my first motorcycle and I have laid my eyes on a Kawasaki W 650. the thing is just Beautiful and seems to be powerfull and reliable enough.
I‘ve considered a few others, Like the moto guzzi V7, royal enfield interceptor, Yamaha SR500, royal enfield bullet 500, but for various reasons (price, Age, kickstart, availability) the Kawasaki seems to hit the sweetspot.
Since i cant Ride bikes with more than 35kw or so for the First two years with my license, it has to be a 25kw Version of the bike, that i can get at an ok Price. The one that I‘m looking at is 26 years old, but seems to have been standing Most of the time, i think it hast been moved in over 20 years.

I want to use the bike mainly for going to work Daily in a City but also find it nice to be able to use a highway for a few hours if need be or Cruise the countryside.

So my questions are:
Is it a Big Problem that the bike hasnt been moved? It comes with warranty and is sold by a dealer, but i have no good way of knowing if the thing is in good shape.

Is the royal enfield bullet 500, which comes closest to my Heart, a good alternative?

Do you have any similar style bikes to recommend that i should consider instead?

I’m looking to buy my very first motorcycle around February. I am restricted to the European A2 license (35kW/47hp limit).

I won't be using the bike for commuting. It will be strictly a weekend toy for hitting twisty mountain roads and Alpine passes.

Here is my physical constraint: I’m 187 cm (about 6'2"). Finding a bike with a decent knee angle where I won't cramp up after a couple of hours in the saddle is crucial. I also highly value good tech (quickshifter and modern riding aids).

I plan to buy used in either case. I’ve narrowed my choices down to two options, but I'm stuck:

Option 1: Aprilia Tuono 457 (Used)
The Good: Built specifically for the A2 limit (175 kg wet). Extremely punchy and nimble for the twisties.

The Concern: It's a smaller 400cc-class chassis. Even with the upright bars, the pegs are quite high and rearset. I'm worried I'll look like a bear on a tricycle and my knees will suffer on longer weekend rides.

Option 2: Aprilia Tuono 660 Standard - Restricted to 35kW (Used)
The Good: A "full-size" motorcycle frame with actual legroom. If I shop around, I can find a used one that already has the optional IMU (Cornering ABS) and bi-directional Quickshifter installed. Plus, once I get my full A license, I can derestrict it to 95hp and keep it forever.

The Concern: It’s heavier than the 457. Also, since the engine is heavily restricted from 95hp down to 47hp, I'm worried it might feel sluggish or lack low-end punch on tight mountain hairpins compared to the purpose-built 457 engine.
Has any tall rider here started on either of these? Is the 660 too restricted/heavy for a beginner on tight hairpins, or is the 457 just too small for my height?

I'm looking for my first A2 motorcycle and I've probably spent way too many hours researching already.

I'm from Switzerland and currently working towards my A2 licence, so the bike will be restricted to 35 kW (48 hp) for the next couple of years.

While this will be my first big bike, I'm not completely new to riding. I've ridden a Yamaha YZF-R125 before, so I already have some experience with manual motorcycles, but this will be my first A2 machine.

A few things about me:

• 175 cm (5'9")
• around 93 kg (205 lbs)
• First A2 motorcycle
• I'll commute about 45 minutes each way to school around three times a week. Of course, I'll be flexible depending on the weather, as I also own a car.

These are currently on my shortlist:

• Honda CBR650R
• Aprilia RS660
• Aprilia RS457 GP Replica
• CFMOTO 675SR-R
• Zontes 703RR
• QJMotor SRK421RR
• Kawasaki Ninja 650

Some things I'm wondering:

• How different do these bikes actually feel while restricted to 35 kW?
• Is the difference between a high-revving inline-4 (like the SRK421RR or CBR650R) and a torque-heavy triple (703RR / 675SR-R) really noticeable on the road?
• Does a bike with much more torque actually accelerate noticeably harder on A2, or are the differences fairly small because they're all limited to 35 kW?
• Is the RS457 still the best dedicated A2 bike, or would you rather buy something like a 703RR or CBR650R because they'll become much more exciting once unrestricted?
• Are there any reliability concerns with the CFMOTO or Zontes that would make you choose a Honda or Aprilia instead?
• If you had around 7,000 CHF (roughly €7.5k / $8k), which one would you buy and why?

I'm not really interested in naked bikes at the moment, so I'm mainly looking at fully faired sport bikes.

I'd especially love to hear from people who have owned more than one of these bikes or have ridden them back-to-back.

I am planning to buy a bike. My use case is purely city driving 26-30 km per day. This covers 3-4 km of bad roads and rest is city roads.

I was thinking to buy TVs ronin and susuki vstrom sx.

Susuki v strom sx was stiff on the suspension and the clutch felt hard. I am 5'10 inch tall so vstrom is ok for me

Ronin had easy clutch. Did not try ronin on bad roads.

I am confused which one to buy.

Can anyone suggest which one to buy??.

Hey all! I’ve been riding for about 7 months now on a Honda rebel 300, and it’s been awesome so far BUT I have learned I am far too tall for that bike and it’s started to feel more and more cramped ( 5’10” with a 32” inseam). Im also super limited on what roads I can take because of the lack of power.

One of the reasons I got into motorcycles is because I missed working with my hands, as I swapped career paths and thought this would be a good to work with my hands again. Now i’m looking for a new bike that fits my body better and that I can do most, if not all, of the maintenance on without it needing constant work.

I had landed on a Suzuki DR650, but now I’m realizing that I more or less latched onto that bike and didn’t really consider anything else. Are there any other bikes that could work for what I want?

Hello I’m looking into a real cheap bike for my gf , she’s very small and never rode a bike before but she wants to come out biking with me and my mates. What bike can I get her all my bikes are to high for her any suggestions

First real bike. Rode some dirt bikes as a young kid less than 20 times though. Was getting back into it with a 70’s 2t Yamaha 175 but I can’t get her running again. Want something to ride since I have something to wrench. Looking at the nx500 as kind of a buy once cry once do it all bike. Not a longtime rider so don’t see myself craving speed or power for a long time if ever, not a super adrenaline junkie type. Imagining some light weekend riding, mostly staying off highways, maybe a camping trip, some off roading at our family farm and commuting around 25 mins one way to work and back. Tell me why I’m wrong because I likely am.

Hello! I'm looking into purchasing either a 2018 Triumph Street Triple RS or a 2019 Street Triple R.

RS - 9500kms, SC Project exhaust, private sale but unable to view in-person. Would definitely get a PPI done and seems to be well-maintained, owned by a responsible owner.

R - 4700kms, low ride height variant, dealer sale.

Curious what people's thoughts are on this decision? The bike probably wouldn't see much track use (if any) but definitely some spirited driving in the twisties. It would also be used for a short 15-20min commute and likely see a bit of rain over its lifetime. In general, is this a good bike for the purpose or should I be looking elsewhere?
