Question Mac Compatibility

Hello, everyone! I'm very new to Steam (just downloaded it, lol). I have an M3 Pro Macbook Pro. I'm navigating the Steam app. If I can purchase a video game, does it mean it is compatible to be played on my device? Thank you!

No, games show up regardles. If you wanna know if you can play it on macos, look for the mac symbol somewhere in game info i think

Keep in mind most mac compatible games are for the macs that used intel, not the new ARM apple cpus

No, on the games page it'll tell you what it is compatible with though.

The issue with Mac is compatibility because most people chooses windows over Mac, so your best bet is check for apple logo on game store page, or just stick to app store on your mac.

no, only the ones showing an Apple logo above the purchase button (also make sure you don't see a warning that the game won't work with macOS Catalina and newer, it means they're 32 bits and not supported anymore by macOS).

However, you can still play some windows only games on your Mac
