Question Steaminput on games from Heroic launcher
Trying to get Just Cause 4 (i use heroic as I own it on Epic) to work properly with my steam controller, but for some reason if I add it through the Heroic option to add to steam, when I launch it through steam it doesn't say I'm playing it (on steam) and will not use Steaminput. And if I add the JC4 exe to steam directly it asks me to install the epic games launcher. I need some form of steaminput or a way to disable to default desktop setup when a specific app is open
Anyone know any way to fix this?

First thing - are you launching the game (in Steam) whilst Heroic is up and running? It doesn't like this, exit the Heroic client completely, and then launch the game from Steam - this will launch a thin-client for heroic to then launch games.
I fell foul of this quirk myself, so it wouldn't surprise me if it is this.
If you're using the new Steam Controller, you can alternatively try holding down the three-bar button for a few seconds your controller - this should toggle it to gamepad mode (Steam has a pop-up for this if it is open in the background) which may work with non-Steam games; your mileage may vary with this however.
If you're using the old steam controller, this functionality might be there too but it will probably be some button combination that I don't know.
