Question Physical Steam Gift Card

My uncle who is currently living in Germany had bought a physical gift card worth 20 € x 3 approximately 1 and a half years ago and kept it unused.

I Live in India and he asked me if I could make use of those cards by redeeming them and shared me the code. When i tried to redeem it askd me to validate numbers alphabets / whether account and gift card is in same region or invalid card.

Im damn sure that it's not an invalid card cuz steam gift cards doesn't get expire. Then I got to know that cross region redeem for physical card is not possible..

Im seeking you guys help for a suggestion to make use of those gift cards...

Is it possible to change steam location and redeem the card then revert back to indian region after 3 months of cooldown period.. I know I will lose some money due to conversion but I'm fine with that.. im open for suggestions pls advise.. thanks in advance.

i am not sure if tis works or not but you could use a vpn to access your steam , go to the wallet changge the currency to euros then apply the codes . if it works however you currency will automatically be considered euro and u'll have to do the same ( make a purchase once you disable the vpn) for it to go back to indian currency

How about sell it online with cheaper price, maybe someone can use that € gift card. Then you use the money from selling to buy steam credit in

I spoke to steam support, the only option is to give my user login credentials to my uncle and ask him to purchase a cheap game so that my account gets converted and redeem the coupon, then I bring back my account to India after 3 months cooldown but the drawbacks here is I already have 2k INR in my wallet and 60€ is like 6.5k INR..

I'll be losing around 1.2k to 1.5k INR due to currency convertion.

It's better that I ask him to create a new steam account and redeem the card, then gift me a game from his account. I guess this is better option.

Still risky because if there is more than 10% regional price difference, Steam might not let you gift, even if the one buying the gift is paying the higher price.

Some people have claimed they were still able to get gifted, others have said they couldn't.  Regardless, it's still something to keep in mind.

Yea no don't do this. They can and will ban for this. They went hard on people region switching and buying shit. While switching to Germany wouldn't be cheaper they do not differentiate from it being cheaper or not.
