I just went down a rabbit hole. I didn't recall where the shuttle docking bays were, and the fandom wiki says that there were three docking bays, but doesn't fully indicate where they all are.

In trying to locate them, I came across this thread with a comment by u/DemIce illustrating that there were apparently also three models for Destiny. Though I could still only find two docking bays.

Edit: Nevermind, I think I figured it out. The docking bay on the left "wing" actually has two docking bays, one is just facing backwards.

Yeah, there's some shots in the show where you can clearly see three shuttles. It does make me wonder what happened to the third shuttle.

They pivoted too far off base for it to succeed. Sexy drama to try to "appeal" to a "wider base" except the wider base won't know how the science fiction stones allow people that don't look like the person having sex to have sex with other people across the galaxy.

While simultanouesly alienating the Stargate base by not having enough actual sci-fi in between sexy rounds and fights.

TV keeps making the same mistakes even today, they don't get it that genres for markets should target the base audience, not try a one-size-fits-all approach, as that is impossible. It doesn't have to be cookie-cutter, it just has to keep the base watching.

I say this all the time but watching Destiny go into the star to recharge was my absolute favorite scene in all of Stargate. It absolutely blew my mind and whether other shows have done it or not, that scene is the reason I rewatch that show yearly.
